  • Cap des Rosiers is the only place in Canada where the Irish tricolour flag can be flown 365 days a year because the Irish famine burial grounds are considered ‘Irish soil’
    In the making of our 'on location' documentary Lost Children of the Carricks... there were many poignant moments ! Here famine descendant Bernard Kavanagh and Sligo historian Joe McGowan reflect on the significance of the Irish flag being flown year round on Canadian soil. We are so grateful to the Sligo Famine Committee for their hospitality during our visit.
