Newfoundland's most popular band celebrated their 20th anniversary with an intimate concert at Toronto's Danforth Music Hall in November. CBC Music was on hand to record the party and now you can enjoy all of the fun! This is the song "Excursion Around the Bay". Видеоклипы
They are the most entertaining live. Best concert I've been too
Wish I could see these guys again. Miss the newfoundland boys
Saw them when I was 10 and have always listened to them since
A good friend of mine turned me on to GBS and I've been a fan ever since. Saw them live 4 times, including my ATF show. Also got the pleasure of being in an irish pub after one of their shows when the band walked in, and got to have several beers with them. They might have stayed because I was with a group of very attractive women, but I was there too ;)
Saw Alan Doyle when I was little
Great band!Great accent, amazing how it still has inflections from the old world, especially Irish.Newfoundlanders seem to be a proud people who never forgot their roots.Would love visit there one day, being Irish.Might even have distant relations there, who knows!
P
strong harmony is so satisfying to listen to.
God I love being from the east coast of Canada
The two Great Big Sea shows I’ve been two are easily among my favourite concert experiences... their music takes on a whole new life in person.
I want to know how many pints this man had before the show, because he is having the time of his life and I'm here for it.
He's high off the music
Great song. I reminds me of the 18years of my life I spend on the island.
Good bless great big sea.
So glad to see you all again;
One mick is a drunk. 2 micks are a fight. 3 micks are a wake. LMAO. Great tune, raw Irish soul, no chaser. Would love to see these guys live if they ever reopen the stadiums and music venues. Looks like the corona pandemic isn't going away anytime soon.
They don't tour together anymore :-( I've seen them live 3 times great shows.
loved the moment where half of the audience expected another "HEY"
Agreed!
I LOVE what Murray did here! Sounds awesome!
i immediately started chair-dancing 😅 great tune! 😄

WE'RE SHADOW PEOPLE. TOO GOOD
I'm Irish when I hear your music. Love it!
Have a listen to Freg Jorgensen singing The Galway Shawl.
Until, 2024 when I go Home again.
And he makes Alan look calm to boot!
"What's wrong with us?"
"We're shallow people."
lol
I read that Russell Crowe loves this group! "Excursion Around the Bay" by Great Big Sea
Russell Crowe and Alan Doyle are friends, Doyle being the lead singer of this group. They've performed all over the place together and Doyle was in Robin Hood with Crowe.
At my old school we listened to this for music and I freaked out when they said we buried her in the ocean wrapped up in the Union Jack and I had to explain what it meant I love the great big sea
What does it mean?
@@landonwright3516 It means the person died and was buried at sea wrapped up in the UK flag
Look it's me
The version of this song by Pyrates is also really good.
I miss Darrell but I do love the deep bass voice on the new bassist (guy from Moxy Fruvous)
I can hardly stand it that Séan is leaving. Best of luck to him, he'll be missed.
