Dan Vasc can sing ANYTHING! Metal to Opera, Christian to Disney. Hes worked incredibly hard to perfect his craft and it shows!
Wasn't expecting the harmonica. Sounded a lot like the bagpipes that are often used in funerals.

Dan’s father gave him the harmonica when he was around 7 yrs. old. This was his father’s favorite hymn. Dan’s father passed away several years ago. Dan released this video just before Easter. Dan does opera, checkout his playlist. PS, if you like Vikings songs, Dan sings My Mother Told Me.

@@hb832 Yes--you are correct. Since April 2023, I have seen posts (not by Dan, but by others--usually the same ones) stating that he was either 7 or 9 when he received his FIRST harmonica (which is not necessarily this one).
On the other hand, On November 23, 2021, Dan was on The Rebellion Podcast with Jay (Drunk3PO). They are gaming partners. That evening, they spent quite a bit of time talking about a variety of things, and that's where Dan mentioned that his dad gave him his first harmonica when he was somewhere between 12 and 13 years old.
So...that's the actual correct age, I would think, since it came right from the "Vasc's Mouth." (grin)
Just the other day, I was listening to Davi Vasc (Dan's brother), on his own channel, talking about when their dad would go around playing his own harmonica in their home. Davi sings, too, and plays a variety of instruments, himself.
He is a world-renowned video game music composer, and you can have a LOT of fun on his RUclips channel.
He and Dan, and two of their friends, are the band Fearless. They have a full album called "The Chronicles of Ancient Wisdom," on all of the usual music venues (Spotify, iTunes, etc.). The 12 tracks begin with a wonderfully-narrated prologue to the entire story the other tracks tell. All the sons are originals, written by Dan and Davi (which is pronounced Dah-vee' ).
You might want to react to some of Davi's really GREAT videos. He does reactions to video games, and analyzes the music (while not looking the action), and tells what is happening, because he's hearing in the music, what it is that is programmed into the games. It's really fantastic, and a LOT of fun to watch and listen to him. 😀

This man knows how to give me chills all over! I FELT every word & emotion of this song. I love how absolutely tender, raw & delicate he started the song even with the slight echo & with each verse exposing more talent & intensity. Dan Vasc has a God given talent that he has perfected over years of hard work into what it is today, devine & magnificent!!! He sang this song the way it was MEANT to be sung with such RESPECT, emotion & with a POWERFUL impact. I FELT the presence of GOD!!! It is authentic. He has stated he is a Christian and put this out for Easter so it is an intentional message. It is also intimate. Filmed very close and minimalistic; as tho you are as close to him as that beautiful microphone. This is the most beautiful version of this beloved song I will ever hear. Listening to this is a spiritual experience, every time. He is Brazilian. He can sing opera; check out his Nessun Dorma. He has had classical as well as metal training, extensively so. He held that last note for 20 seconds; he has done 30 seconds; he did a cover with Luis Mariutti of "Black Wind, Fire and Steal." His range and vocal toolbox are incredible.

E.g. from Lady Gaga "Poker Face" or the Witcher series "Burn Butcher Burn" or Mötley Crüe - Kickstart My Heart cover. I look forward to further reactions. 🤟
To sum it up you can say Dan is a vocal beast. The only genres he hasn't done yet are rap and country 😅 Everything else you'll find on his channel, including opera! He legit is skilled.
He actually sang an a'capella version of What A Difference You've Made In My Life, originally by Ronnie Milsap, on one of his gaming streams, and it was absolutely amazing! So though he hasn't released a cover of a country song, I have no doubt that he could blow that genre out of the water, too.

I absolutely love the way he progressed through layers of intensity with each verse. He started restrained and traditional, and ended with such power and emotion. As for the jaw movement, Peter Barber referred to it 'jawbrato'.
The voice and instrument comes in the soul in the same intensity.
He is also playing the organ in back of the vocals. Goosebumps. A master .❤😊
Metal and opera isn't just overlapping by chance. Quite some singers who ended up in a rougher music genre are actually classically trained. Pretty sure this guy is one of em at least to some extent. GREAT VOICE, GORGEOUS HAIR and yeah he could totally play a werewolf!!! Great reaction!

I can thoroughly recommend his covers of Evanescance's 'Bring Me To Life,' Seal's 'Kiss From A Rose' with Violet Orleti, and 'The Music of the Night' from 'Phantom of the Opera' to get you started.

Lovely reaction! Dan is extremely versatile and excels in all genres. A few months back Dan featured with the band Confessori - Where the Eagles Fly which I love. Also, he wrote the lyrics for that. He has his own band called Fearless. They have an album of their original work - Chronicles of Ancient Wisdom, really impressive. He does from Opera to Metal and has metalized quite a few contemporary songs which gave them "new life"😉His 80's playlist is really impressive. @hb832 Hang in there. Just last week, on his Community page on his RUclips channel, he presented a very "leading" question: "If a certain metal singer decided to make an entire album of Manowar songs, which ones should be used."
It's quite embarrassing and puzzling how many people posted "answers," that weren't answers at all. Most of the answers were something like, "Amazing Grace," and a few others. Very few people actually realized that he was asking for Manowar songs only...nothing else.
My answer was created with actual Manowar songs in mind, AND, I stated that I certainly hope that that very ambiguous question ACTUALLY means that he has about FINISHED that album, and we'll soon be seeing it appear.
If that would happen to be the case, I suspect that he would publish at LEAST one new cover video from the tracks in the album.
Be patient, people. Dan knows what he's doing, and when we see whatever it is that he's working on, suddenly SURFACE, it will be lovely, and we will all be in awe of his wonderful skills and presentations. 😀

You may know by now he sang this song at his fathers funeral and played the harmonica. This is one of the two harmonicas his father had gifted him. Yes Dan can sing opera. He and his father used to listen to it often.

You really do need to check out his other covers. He does ALL kinds of music including opera & he knocks it out of the park on EVERYTHING he does. Dan's Sabaton cover songs is how I got introduced to Sabaton, my now all time favorite band (next to Fearless). You might also like his covers of Smoking Snakes, The Last Stand, etc. He's amazing.
