I made this bag and while I had some issues I really like it. I made some changes for my needs: - I used waterproof canvas for the outer and did not have a lining. - I didn’t cut a separate piece of fabric for the flap; instead I used the cutout from the large piece and sewed a piece of plastic canvas to lengthen the flap. The size wasn’t perfect but I made it work. - I used one long zipper with two pulls instead of two zippers - After installing the zipper to the front and flap I sewed two lines of topstitching so that the zipper would cover the seams. - The piece I cut for the back was really long (possibly a mistake in the pattern) I just wrapped it around the bottom and didn’t even use the piece I cut for the bottom. - I used waterproof canvas to bind my seams. 1” wide. My bag isn’t perfect but I really like it for my tennis shoes after a match. The plastic canvas was key because I needed the bag to have some ventilation so my shoes wouldn’t be stinky. If I did it again I would make some changes: - I would round the top corners. The binding made the corners too bulky. - I would make a pattern for all the pieces before I cut fabric. The sizes are strange and it would allow me to be more exact. Thanks, SewingTimes!

I was thinking when I bought the last ends of soccer fabric at the store last week....( yes, they finally opened some stores. 👍 ), I said maybe this can make two shoes bags for my son who is a soccer maniac . But I have no pattern to follow...🤔 . The sales lady at the store said it won’t be here when you come back.... So I bit the bullet and decided to buy it and hope one day , one of my youtubers I follow would design a pattern to follow. And look ....today you posted !!! I am convinced you can read my mind 😁😁 !! I would have to go back to the store and get waterproof lining . Now , I have gift ideas for His birthday or Christmas ( depends when I finish making them ). Berniece lee There is spray to waterproof cloth if you cannot find waterproof cloth... the spray is fo r shoes and outdoor cloth but I use it for any cloth I want to be waterproof

I made this bag but I struggled with some of the measurements... do you make your plans in cm? Some of the conversions were incorrect. The bag did work out eventually, love your channel 😊
