- President Joe Biden and former President Donald Trump will face off in their first presidential debate on Thursday, and according to the Associated Press, "rarely, if ever, has one candidate in a presidential debate had so much material to use against the other."

It’s a disgrace that there are only two debates this year. You are auditioning for president of the United States, the ultimate position of public service, you should have to be out in front of the American people you’re supposed to be serving, three debates minimum, plus a town hall. That should be the standard. Joe Biden shouldn’t be allowed to be setting debate rules, and the number of debates he’ll be attending. I remember the good old days, when presidential candidates weren’t scared to make their case to the American people.
Honestly, we should have a far more rigorous vetting process. We should have a series of actual debates where time is kept and mics can be cut after a 30-second warning.
There should also be a series of basic tests about things like current issues, civics, government, history,
and economics.
FYI Joe Biden didn't get to unilaterally set the date or make the rules. That's that victim complex that the far-right loves to bandy about
