    Hats off to those who r taking care of Bukit brown. It's not an easy task but these pple are ready to sacrifice to preserve their culture. Mr Chua is especially so admirable.

    to the 3 gentlemen, thank u for your service. our eyes rolled down to tears when we watched this video. all of us are born equal. we will definitely depart from this world, one day. no matter how rich or having high status, all those wealth will be left behind. lets be humble and take care of our aging parents..

    I wonder how is Mr. Chua doing at present. Blessings of health to him.
    Btw, he mentioned seeing an apparition around 3:30-4:00 am which is well within the time-frame of the so-called demonic witching hour.

    I am a Teochewese from Hong Kong, despite I hv relatives from Singapore...however most of my ancestors still buried in Teochew...I reluctantly did the same thing like what the young man doing for tombstones which lasted for at least half of the century as a child during Ching Ming festivals. I feel emotional after watching this clip....I hope the whole cemetery will last forever like my great grandparents one in Teochew.

    gong xee , thanks for uploading the vedio of bukti brown cemetry , those are the statues of sikh body gaurds ,of singaporean chinese businessman . yes they were singapore nationals ,living in singapore before the indpendence of singapore ,as you can see they wear the small turbans /traditional turbans ,on duty also . merdekaa singapura .

    is there any untie caretaker,because i met one at that time, when we unable to find my grandfather grave ,one antie lady suddendtly appear and help us lead to the way, thank you untie.

    Its a cool place,shouldnt hv disturbed the final resting place of the chinese pioneers of singapore,the story of mr brown,hw his coolies were attached to him and the haunting of brown's hill to mount pleasant and the P.A.

      Bukit Brown is a Chinese cemetery. However, Sikhs used to symbolize guardians/protectors as they were well known Guards during the British colonial era. As such, many people choose to put statues of Sikh guards to guard their graves

      + Chwee Lab Lim Yes ! Bukit Brown will be on the Circle Line Between Caldecott & Botanic Gardens. It will cut through the cemetery.
