What are the benefits if people hire an attorney? What if it helps their case. I'm not sure but just checking
Exactly such of negative video, My officer was very professional and very nice, they don't handle interviews like this.
*Reminder* Hey everyone I hope your having a good day! I know you probably searched the video for a very important reason. Just wanna say, this video is completely a JOKE! Don't get it twisted it's comedy this won't ever happend to you in real life.
no it goes a bit too far but I have encountered some real a holes at AT&T in construction dept. Many of the managers came up through the ranks and were some pretty tough guys, but I liked the fact that they knew the job unlike the college boys that came in and didn't know anything.
This video is outrageous. I know it is a joke, or an advertisement, but there are people out there who will gain the idea that all interviewers are jerks and treat people as though they are scum from this video. this is not even close to accurate.
OK, let me share my own experiences of my green card interview. It took place yesterday and let me tell you, it was a bad day for me. I literally forgot all of my documents and I was literally panicking in the hallway. All that being said, the USCIS officer was very polite and courteous and actually allowed me to go back to get my things. After I came back with my documents, my green card was approved before I even exited the building. I may have just been lucky, but I just wanted to post a positive experience to counteract all of the negativity and (hopefully) give some comfort to other applicants. It shocking how much anxiety videos like this cause for the intending immigrant.
I got so scared for them. But the comments cool me down that it's not a reality😊
We had our interview yesterday in Chicago. We’ve been together for 7 years; same language, race, religion, profession etc. We had our problems - we lived separately and had a crappy court wedding which no one attended, nevertheless, were approved on the spot! Our interview was a piece of cake and not anywhere close to what they show on YT.

Natalie Jinnese not even close. They just went over the forms we filled - how many times my wife entered the country, did she ever work illegally etc. There’s too much drama in this video.

@@morciego yes they ask all the questions listed on the forms - past and current employment. also, if you ever worked illegally for cash etc.

My interview was not that bad. It was pretty smooth. The immigration officer was mellow and very nice, she approved my green card.

My interview was yesterday. Our officer was a very nice lady who joked with us. This video is a little bit too much. If your marriage is real and you are properly prepared you dont have to be worried

My husband (the immigrant) and I had his green card interview 2 weeks ago and it was nothing like this. The officer was super nice and we had a plesant chat about coffee vs tea. The officer did not even ask any questions about our past. Don't be scammed by this fraudster.

None of the USCIS officers will touch interviewee's personal belongings and literally assume that his mother is an illegal alien because she is from Spain. what is the purpose of this video...? I dont get it.

This is very inaccurate. If they suspect there is fraud, they immediately give separate interviews. Further, they never explain what can happen to you. And most of all they never tell you what they are going to ask.
This is a bit extreme. We had a serious, but nice lady during our interview. I believe they give you the benefit of the doubt and are not out to find some hidden dirt on you. This is a marriage interview; You're not being prosecuted in front of a judge...
I'm worried, it will be a fateful interview.

yes these jerks are everywhere I've worked for some just like her. be prepared and most of all don't act so meek like these people. if you do they will harass you even more. one time my manager threatened to suspend me with pay for 30 days. Another manager would say if you don't like it here sign this resignation form he kept one in the top drawer of his desk.
This interview is so far from factual its a joke. I got every question wrong on the green card interview including didn't even know my wife's parents names. My wife who was the immigrant got 50% of the questions wrong. We still got approved on what would be an average score of 25%. The interview is basically a formality.
Men that's true? Because we answer 2 bad questions and I'm very nervous for the results.

This is not the way immigration officers do interview. They are very polite and seldom talks
That’s not how they behave. Even if they suspect fraud, they will only deal with you calmly and ask more questions until their doubts are removed. very rarely do they get annoyed!!! They do not ever treat people this way - probably very few rare cases where the couple is obviously fraudulent and also disrespectful to the officers.

This video should be named. What not to do on a marriage based interview. They do everything wrong.
What does an expired passport have to do with anything? If he already got to the interview part of the process means he most likely has his employment authorization card and temporary social security card which grants him permission to stay and legally work in the United States while they orocess his application. Why would he be deported at this point?. This video seems like a scare tactic by this lawyer so people will hire him and pay him to have them go with them to the interviews.
In other words the fact that the passport is expired is irrelevant to the interviewer at that point of the process. And in actuality the passport proves he came in using a visa and not by crossing the border illegally which makes the process of getting a green card by marriage easier. This entire video is lacks common sense and logic.
The evidence will be used AGAINST you in a court of law. Whatever happened to INNOCENT until PROVEN GUILTY!

That's bullshit. I ve met uscis ppl. They are a bit nasty. Motherfucker evil is every where.They are trained to play mind game, and my interview was similar to some segments here. The dude for no reason got loud with me , accused me of lying, and tried to tell me that "lying to an immigration officer is a big crime." And i speak perfect English since i came to US only one year old. I wonder how easily things can get steamy if someone misunderstands English and answers wrongly by mistake. Aside from that, evertime i came back to US, just by looking at my face, they had me go to for a second investigation.
Arash Sh I’ve been speaking English for 3 years now and I could articulate myself just fine, the officer was kinda rude but she wasn’t extra or anything like the one in the video, I don’t even think she was rude it seemed like she was in a rush our interview lasted less than 10 minutes lol

There are always going to be people to try to find a way to get you in trouble, because of your look, your clothes, size of your wallet, wether you have intellectual issues. The thing is, in this country wher ppl cry for equality, all you have to is just cast accusation on someone and there will be sometimes till they come out clean.

Arash Sh actually idk wt to say to u ... i had my interview in 26 federal plaza building in New York city and every thing goes fine ... officer was really cool and quiet. She asked me just one question. And asked my wife around 5 question too and the rest of interview. She was checking all joint accounts like bank and phone billls and cable . Etc and she watched all the pics too ... the whole operation took around 15 min and was so smooth and easy . Every body was happy . And i got my card 10 days after the interview... did u had a lawyer with u in the interview??? Which state u was ?

You do realize this is a video made by a less office in order to scare people into hiring them. Not to say that it isn't a good idea to hire an attorney, but it speaks volumes of this particular law office if they resort to such scare tactics in order to win clients.

You can have expired passport unless u need to travel you should renew it. Passport has nothing to do w your legal status
