I wish I owned this gorgeous bag. And I'm living for these 5 Minute Fridays. I don't think RUclipsrs realize that quick straight to the point videos are more effective and information shared are easily retained. BTW, Congratulations on having the new Louis Vuitton Factory in your back yard. 💕

I purchased my PM mono Thanksgiving 2019. I absolutely love it. I couldn’t bring myself to use it at first because I was afraid to damage it or get any water spots. Now that the weather is nicer it’s been my favorite bag. I love how my clemence wallet fits in the first compartment, and my iPhone XS in the zippered pocket that I never zip.
It is one of my all time favorites!! XOXO
Hi Amanda at least LV are willing to make repairs to their bags without having to battle with Customer Service.

The issues mentioned apparently have been corrected and aren’t on the newer made bags.
I love this bag. It’s my favorite in my collection. It’s so practical and the perfect every day bag.

I just bought the Coach Cassie yesterday since I've seen so many reviews and videos like these make me happy to go for Coach instead! For a $3000 (May 2020) bag you'd expect so much more!
I have the Pochette Metis in the black empreinte leather! you may like that version as well! the leather on mine is super soft and the strap hangs beautifully when I hold it by its top handle since it doesn't have the rigidity that yours does from the "medium canvas". this bag has become my favorite handbag in my collection and I'm even considering getting a second one!
Bought mine new in the spring of 2018. Love it, and have had no issues. Would definitely recommend. It's a great, everyday bag.
My fave part of the bag aside from the look itself is the lock on the front🤷🏾♀️ Such a small thing but ugh so gorge.

My pochette metis is still going strong after a few years. No issues. I LOVE this bag. I sometimes think people just have too high of expectations for a hand made item.
Makeup & Medicine I agree, it’s still man made and if you use it, the item will get some wear on it. Nothing is meant to be pristine forever.
I just recently purchased my PM and I have to admit originally I did not want it because of all the issues. I love this bag. It’s convenient it holds just the right amount and screams LV... lol.. one of my favorite bags.. TFS😘

Jazzy Jaq They usually have it at the LV store in NYC at E. 57th st. I got my monogram PM from there recently and I love it so much! The SA there told me that LV now bends the canvas back before glazing it (which helps) and makes for a softer bag. I’ve seen the reverse PM there too! Good luck!

I bought the Pochette Metis in 2015 and have only used it a few times as I have options. A LV client rep called me a few months ago and told me the issues with this bag...which were that they changed to a different company to seal/glaze the vachetta aka raw leather straps that LV exclusively uses. The glazing issue has zero to do with the coated canvas as this video says and ONLY the leather part of the bag. As a result, folks whom purchased the bag would have color transfer b/c the glaze on the vachetta didn't hold up and could stain clothing etc. B/c I only used the bag a few times I had no clue or experience of this. SO HAPPY LV called me b/c then I went into my closet and pulled out the bag and for sure felt the seal/glaze on the vachetta was tacky and rubbed it against a tissue and the color did, in fact, transfer. The bag has always been stored in the dust bag in A/C. Also, the "patina" is only about how the leather ages and not the coated canvas as this gal says. They told me I could bring my bag into any store for an exchange. And in this short time the bag has appreciated by $300 since then. LV customer service rocks.
I have a 2013 but bought pre loved, the Vachetta is tacky on mine too, do you think they would still exchange at LV?

I have had issues with the glazing on my strap but I would never sell it. I absolutely love it and it will be for ever in my collection.
Love these 5 minute Fridays!!! Short and sweet. I just got my Pochette Metis yesterday in store. I am just hoping that mine won't have any issues in the future. I love this bag so pretty and so pratical and holds all my essentials.

I absolutely love my pochette Métis. It’s so practical I love crossbody bags and it fits so much. I had cracking issues and LV changed the bag no problems at all great service.
I have owned my bag since 2018 and I've never had a problem with the glazing or the tabs. 🤞🏾

In the back of my head I know that the canvas version is the one that I want also, and so after this video, I went and bought one! I have had mine for 2 1/2 weeks so far, would love to hear how your journey is going and how long you have to wear yours. I am looking at 2 years so a long way to go. So far not that big of a deal, just need to eat or drink quickly so I can put them back in, lol.

I had this bag for years. One of my favorite pieces. Last year, I noticed the edges on the seam were messed up & I brought it to LV & they replaced it with a brand new one. 😍
Another great 5 min Fri! I have the pochette metis and I don't think I have the stiff canvas. I love that strap a lot! I haven't had any issues (fingers crossed!).

That is one bag I never wanted. It is so everybody. I think if there is a bag, that you pay money for, (no matter the brand) and it’s no fault of your own that it is in fact, defective due to their lack in craftsmanship, that it is their duty to repair it. IMO, one shouldn’t feel fortunate that they do that, it’s their obligation. I just feel they put out a poor quality bag, due to demand and unfortunately the consumer suffers. I know people are STILL experiencing issues, and with more than just glazing; these bags are in the thousands. Aint no way, lol 🤷🏽♀️
I get it, I still love it though and I agree, it's their obligation for sure. You'd just be suprised how many luxury brands don't fix these kinds of issues. Thanks for stopping by. XOXO

I just feel like because they stand behind it, who cares if something happens - they will fix it. You could keep going back each time to get it fixed. Yes, annoying, but at least they'll fix it. I have one and have had no issues and I use and abuse it. And I'm not worried because if something does happen, they'll fix it. Love the bag!

I absolutely loved this bag I had problems couple months after purchase with the side opening it was cracked :( I took it in they said they can re glaze it but can’t say it won’t happen again so I got a store credit they were great and helped me heaps but I have to say this was the best bag I ever had I had it for 1 year it was used daily I absolutely loved it and I would buy it again
I would buy it again but be paranoid it cracks again so I’m most probably not but if they say it won’t happen lol I would totally buy it again
What year was your PM? I bought mine in July 2018 now the glazing start to Crack (very minor) at the both side opening flap 😢
My Métis which was purchased end of last year started to crack. LV replaced the bag with a new “version” which is much much softer. The strap is super soft too.

@@karenferreira176 I have the softer version and it looks the same, it just hangs better when you are using the bag top handle.
There is a "new version" since September 2019 because of the issues. The canvas ist stiffer.

Thanks for the review!! I really wanted to get this in the reverse monogram cos I really worries about the patina. How did u manage to get such a nice patina? I used to own a speedy 25 which I sold it off becos of the patina. It’s in patches and I really cannot stand it. I do like the monogram version but am really really concerned about the vachetta leather, do u have any advice?
I don't do anything special, I just allow it to turn on its own naturally. XO

I also have a pochette metis in the reverse monogram after just few months it started to crack on the flap also the glazing peeled off so i went to lv and they told me they could give me store credit or they might repair it so they repaired it but they left a big scratch in the glazing 😣

Did not have any issues with mine. Love it!! I have the feeling that people wgo purchased their Metis in USA have more issues than those who purchased in Europe. But maybe I'm wrong... it's just a feeling...

I purchased one from both Spain and France and both were completely unacceptable. The glazing was horrible on the Spain bag and there was a shiny part on one particular spot on front of bag. The France bag had a horribly crooked lock that everyone in my family noticed when I showed them, it was stiff-the strap so stiff it hurt and made my shoulder itch. The France bag also had the divider in the middle sewn in crooked which caused one side of the pockets to be way smaller than the other side. So then arrives a bag made in USA-PERFECTION!! And this one is a lot softer and more comfortable. Oh and I almost forgot -the bag from France-the lock would constantly stick and I had to wiggle it a lot to get it to open.

I really hate the strap too. I always use my speedy b leather strap with my Metis. Much easier to carry.

I love this bag because it is very spacious but my only problem with mine is the lock. I don’t know for some reason the lock pops out and I sometimes have to keep an eye just incase it does open while I’m out and about it.

My handle came with a wrinkles on the top handle when I took it to LV they said oh it's a gorgeous bag do hard to find nobody would notice it will patina 🥰 but I see them and waited so long for the bag (still on the waitlist👀) got it online and it's been about 2 months. I seen people's bag that have had it for 2years and it's smooth. What can I do it really bothers me.

Your paying so much money for it you shouldn’t have to get them to get it fixed for you.. I think Louise Vuitton Quality is sucks the amount of the money your paying for one bag. I think their is going down hill.im sorry I’m not buying anything from them anymore.

I have the reverse and LOVE LOVE LOVE IT. I agree it is a very wearable bag, mine is black top handle and thus will look newer longer. But both are great!
