This is a review of the new & improved Louis Vuitton Pochette Métis in the Monogram! I waited so patiently for this beauty!! In this video, I talk about my experience buying and inspecting the bag, what I learned from the SA, the features of the bag (exterior and interior), and how I keep the vachetta leather safe. I know some people have a LOVE/HATE relationship with the Pochette Métis but I absolutely adore this bag!!

i had the reverse monogram before and it had glazing issues... i sold it... i was on the fence of getting it again. 2 yrs later, I got lucky this holiday season. I kept refreshing my wishlist & they had it in stock. i ordered it but the bag was defective. i returned it and I got it again thru the website 2 days after. I called client services to ensure that they inspect it thoroughly before shipping it. finally, I got the perfect one just in time for Christmas! ❤️ couldn't be happier ....

Going to Paris early June and looking to purchase the pochette metis. Can you do (or have you done) a 3 year review on this because I'm curious on how the Apple guard worked for you and if you still love it.
I personally don’t like LV bags at all except their wallets if I choose to buy. I think everyone buys it for the logo, I mean YSL or Prada, Fendi and Dolce&Gabbaba make better bags at much cheaper. If you can’t take a such an expensive bag if it rains,I never understand why people are happy to pay the price. I’m new to our channel and like your elaborative videos 🤗💕
Welcome to my channel! 💕 It’s funny you say that, because I was never into LV either until the Pochette Métis! It’s the only LV bag that has truly captured me over all these years and made me want to buy it. I am really enjoying it. I love the LV canvas for its durability and water resistant qualities. It’s also lighter than leather. But yes, the other brands you mention make great bags too... especially YSL. They are so under rated!! 👏 Thanks so much for watching!

I thought I was the only one who thought the older models are made from a thicker canvas with a hard rigid strap. My 2015 model is so stiff! Yours looks so soft and light, lucky you 🥰!
I’m a Pochette Métis Addictt. Got the reverse, noir and finally able to get the original monogram. The monogram is made in Italy but I didn’t care.

Italy is simply the best country for handmade bags. Nobody else has the knowledge of italian artisans. You should be happy of this.

Great review! I got a MIF too. I did a comparison of the MIF to MIU and MIF was definitely softer and squishier like yours. I hear they came out with a “new model” with a new model number and it is supposedly very stiff canvas and therefore boxier in look although all the details are the same. I guess time will tell which is better. ❤️❤️❤️

My pochette metis that I just recently purchased - I can’t squeeze both round ribbits to open. Only one ribbit will move and it will open the bag after numerous tries. Should I exchange it for another one

Hopefully you don’t end up having problems with it later down the line because Louis vuitton will not do any repairs on it if you have “altered” it which is spraying the vachetta with the spray. None the less, love love love the bag!

Are you sure? So if I spray the vachetta on mine, and later on have glazing issues they will not repair it?
Yasmin El Malti don’t worry they will still honor a defect ..spraying it will not cause the glazing issue. Also how would they know you sprayed it? Protect it and hope for no issues :)

Hi dear! Indeed, this bag has had its share of issues! I waited over a year to get mine as I wanted to wait out all the quality issues and recalls. Luckily, mine is doing a-ok! There is no staining on the vachetta leather. The Apple guard spray protects it, but it still will patina over time. Hope that helps! Thanks so much for watching! xo

Hi there! Does the first pocket (front) scrunched up on both sides (inside)? Mine is like uneven stitches and it doesn't feel smooth (the stitches).
Great video. I appleguard all my vachetta as well. I prefer the very light look to the vachetta.

I got the PM yesterday and I was disappointed to see it was the Made In USA😫. All of my LV’s are made in France and Spain. I just feel it lowers the value later for reselling? I will be spending my day calling around to see if any LV stores have the Made In France.
Aww good luck dear. I know it’s hard to find a MIF PM nowadays bc they’re making them out of the Texas facility now. I know someone who tried 5 different PMs and eventually settled on a made in USA one.
hello catwalk city A little update: I ended up finding two PM at my LV store. One was made in France and one in Italy! I ended up going for the Italy one bc it looks to be more structured and well made! Thanks for your videos. They have helped me In my decision.

Thank you for sharing. What are your thoughts on protecting the hardware? I heard about handbag haven they sell a film to go over the hardware to avoid wear and scratches. I just bought the PM just wanted to know your thoughts on it thx

This is one of my favorite bags. I was able to get a new bag last year when my original one was thankfully in the batch that got recalled. My bag was in terrible condition, (mostly from my use, I think.) I much prefer this one vs my original bag from 2015. On a random note, I was really impressed when I saw someone walking so carefree on the UWS today in the light rain with their PM. I was concerned for her vachette and she was completely unbothered. Maybe she used apple guard! :)

Love how my vachetta looks!! The apple guard spray worked really well. It has a very subtle patina. You can see recent photos of my PM on my Instagram xo

Correct. Many people go for LV specifically for the canvas because it’s more durable than leather. 😊

@@Gotchalaboom It’s water resistant, scratch resistant - you can wear it in most weather conditions. It’s quite low maintenance. This is precisely why LV used canvas for all their luggage pieces. If you’re looking for leather, LV wouldn’t be the first place to look.
@@hellocatwalkcity but it’s not leather it’s upgraded canvas and it will crack, leather does not crack? It’s not durable in my opinion

Honey, you have the old model. I can tell it at the back compartment. At the old version you can see that the canvas ends stortly, the new model has "longer canvas" sorry, my English is not so good. I hope you understand what I mean. I had the old version from January 2019 and sold it to get the new model, which I have now.
