    I miss my old Chris craft cabin cruiser that had a pair of 400ci wb engines. Some kids docked behind me in a ski boat 1 time said man that thing sounds like a train.

    Wow! all that engine for 115HP! That as bad as a 97 stock 4.6 Ford V-8 only doing 175!

    If you're trying to break in a camshaft leaving the engine at idle is a poor way to do it. With no load its perfectly acceptable and preferable to IMMEDIATELY get the engine speed up to 2000 rpm or so. Especially a "solid-lifter" engine with limited oil flow to the camshaft and lifters.
