MJ at the peak of his talents/genius, no lip sync real vocals, refined and perfected dance moves/body language, energy and stage presence. Absolutely extraordinary, near perfection with his originality and unique style. Today's entertainers have this concert and others to use as a template, in 1987 this was ground breaking live entertainment. Watch this entire concert, it is EPIC MICHAEL JACKSON!!! The GOAT in MY opinion, certainly the greatest of his generation.
I wouldn’t say this was Michaels peak because but your not wrong he was always reaching new heights all the way up until this is it. MJ THE GREATEST TO EVER DO IT
@@ebonaparte3853 yes. The first and the last, I believe him when he stated this. It was not a figure of speech or a random moment. That's why he gave it all in this tour.
Finally someone summed the BAD TOUR up correctly. Ground breaking live performance from MJ. Nobody is the recording industry has to energy, determination and vocal capabilities MJ had in 1987. Name someone else who performed on the bad tour level every night.
It was weird seeing the intro normally used for "Smooth Criminal" here. I didn't know that he also used it for "This Place Hotel (a.k.a. Heartbreak Hotel)" until now.
It was originally used for Heartbreak Hotel in 1987 FIRST(for the first leg of the bad tour) then eventually used for Smooth Criminal in the second leg 1988
Having never heard this song before, based on the title, I was hoping to find MJ doing Elvis Presley's Heartbreak Hotel, which would've made sense in terms of Lisa Marie, and could've delivered an intriguing spin in contrast to the original. Otherwise MJ's performance here was impeccable, as always! Thanks for sharing,
even then wouldnt make sense he didnt really know Lisa Marie and Michael's style was completely different from Elvis's and besides Michael's song is actually from the Jacksons album triumph,
This is Heartbreak Hotel from The Jacksons' Triumph album. The 1987 concerts of the Bad Tour kept the same setlist as the Victory tour with his brothers in 1984, I believe it was it was due to time constraints when planning the tour.
@@MH-et5snthe 1987 legs set list was based mostly on the Jackson’s victory tour but introducing IJCSLY and Bad(the albums first two singles) as well as thriller live for the first time, the second leg in 1988 incorporated the remaining songs off Bad

You really earned your money if you performed with this guy. He worked his folks
I have no idea how, he did not die on this tour ...
Truly he was very especial! God's own entertainer!
I wonder ho wmf could sing so hard then dance like hell with no water without dieting and passing out when he toured
