Is that a new truss rod cover? Different strings, different pick and the way you play will change the sound of it a lot, I’m sure you could brighten it up a little bit. I had the same issue with my custom shop j185, eventually sold it because I just never fell in love and got a Martin with a cut away and it’s great
If spending more than $500 on a guitar, QC should not be an issue at all, especially at the $5k dollar level. That binding is unacceptable and the specs aren’t even nice enough to warrant more than $1k for an acoustic like this. Sad that the same instruments as years ago are priced so much higher and quality has gone down as well.
The quality of that vs other acoustics you can get in that price range arent even close. I wouldn't dream of buying that if i had 5k to spend on an acoustic. I spent 3k on the one in my profile pic. Its so much nicer than that.
I'd NEVER pay $5000. for that acoustic guitar. I've have a 1952 and a 1997 Gibson L5 ces. But I think Gibson is out of their minds with their prices now.
Where is the finger picking? Some kind of variation of playing other than off time chord strums? Not really able to get a review of an acoustic if you dont know how it sounds in various applications.
My $500 Sigma Martin-knockoff came with less QC issues than this thing. If you can afford a Gibson, God bless.. But holy smokes. For the price you pay you'd think a little more care would go into it.
Damn I want the hummingbird version so bad, or maybe the song writer. Idk they just look so good, I love the LP custom always have. I have a 2019 in black and a 79 wine red and they would look great next to one of these new acoustics

There are other brands out there for less money that are just as nice of quality, just a thought not being biased at all
Yes, that is a bit of a chonky neck for a 6-string acoustic in this era. But the LP custom looks are stunning!
Been watching you for a few years. Your playing has come a long way! Nice!!
I got a cherry red J45 from the demo shop and I love it, I have hundreds of hours on it played already. That broke the bank I couldn't imagine getting something like this ... thanks for sharing trogyl!!
Wow...looks really plastic. Much prefer the bare bones J-45. As a gigging musician there’s absolutely no way that I’d pay those prices for a guitar that I’m travelling around the country with. Gibson have truly lost the plot....Now back to Eastman, super quality, great playability at a realistic price,
Heck, take a Takamine to bash around with.
@@johnnyxmusic exactly my point. I actually prefer Faith guitars, but you get the drift. I reckon on one damaged every year, that on a good year 😬
Is that a new truss rod cover? Different strings, different pick and the way you play will change the sound of it a lot, I’m sure you could brighten it up a little bit. I had the same issue with my custom shop j185, eventually sold it because I just never fell in love and got a Martin with a cut away and it’s great
If spending more than $500 on a guitar, QC should not be an issue at all, especially at the $5k dollar level. That binding is unacceptable and the specs aren’t even nice enough to warrant more than $1k for an acoustic like this. Sad that the same instruments as years ago are priced so much higher and quality has gone down as well.
Amazing what they let slide on an expensive guitar.
You should do a giveaway with that J45!! Like to me!!😂😂😊
The quality of that vs other acoustics you can get in that price range arent even close.
But I think Gibson is out of their minds with their prices now.
i'd like one of these in 70s clown burst
Looks like the neck from a big Wes Montgomery jazz guitar!!!.............
Where is the finger picking? Some kind of variation of playing other than off time chord strums? Not really able to get a review of an acoustic if you dont know how it sounds in various applications.
We want the black light on all the reviews 😢 🙏 please
My $500 Sigma Martin-knockoff came with less QC issues than this thing. If you can afford a Gibson, God bless.. But holy smokes. For the price you pay you'd think a little more care would go into it.
Yeah that binding gap is absolutely unacceptable. That's gonna have to be a no for me, dawg...
Damn I want the hummingbird version so bad, or maybe the song writer. Idk they just look so good, I love the LP custom always have. I have a 2019 in black and a 79 wine red and they would look great next to one of these new acoustics
But you didn't take it apart to look at its parts and specs😮
Ok, Gibson. We get it. Eff the working person. Ain't you special.
I love the guitar but it’s not worth a penny over $1000 at best imo. Gibson need to stop drinking the cool aid. Lol
Drink it? They’re the ones making it!
That’s just insane.
