February 15 1839, the British hanged 5 of our men in Montreal Quebec. Over 800 political prisoners were illegally kept and starved in the prison by the British. The British came into Quebec (read about the battle of the Plains of Abraham of 1759.) and came after us and seized power of our lands and businesses. These men were merely standing up to say : “no”, we want to have sovereignty over the land we worked so hard to plow, and the businesses WE built. This is why Quebec wants to hang on to the French language. We constantly have to push back against power and control of Ottawa. The same is being experienced in Alberta and Saskatchewan. The people are fed up with British Ottawa. Ottawa is constantly putting their nose into our affairs just so they can extract every penny we have. They change laws to extract more and more from us and allow their friends with large businesses to prosper. The free trade accord drafted by Chrétien was a disaster. Businesses here fell like dominos. Chrétien basically gambled our birthrights to help large corporations in the USA. This is why the US likes Canada so much because we apparently, just roll over and play dead. When accusing countries of dictatorship remember the past. Take a good look at yourself and what you have done. Seems to me someone needs a mirror. These people the British hanged were not extremists; they were just people who wanted jurisdiction over their own affairs. If you have a land and a neighbor comes and says: “give me your land” is it extremism to say no?
I am afraid of the state of chaos that Sisi spoke about, and I hope that it does not reach us and reaches whoever ignited it in the first place. It started in Matrouh Governorate 😥
Yeah even if Egyptians don't like him right now, they choose to get him into power and he knows how to play politics unlike morsi, so Egyptians need to be patient and see what comes of his building projects and economic plans...all things which the Muslim brotherhood never even thought about so there really wasn't an alternative to run the nation back in 2013

I am very happy for Egypt. They have found long awaited stability and their alliance with Israel couldn't have been better than ever. Egypt needs this strongman to eradicate IS and those militant groups in the Sinai, oh and also Hamas. Then peace can happen between Palestine and Israel, and honestly I wouldn't mind Sisi being behind the negotiating table.
I really hate him. He's a dictator and criminal. Please wake up people and open your mind and eyes.
Dictator? He's only been in power for 3 years.
+sam edward barsoum do u know what does democracy meen it means giving your own opinion freely noone forcing you not to and thats what is not happening more than 20k people have been jailed just because they said ther own opinion people get caught for showing theiropinion on social media ...and till to day we have more than 6000 people klled for same reason showing their opinion so literally he is dictator

SEAN CURRAN prison peace
I hope they invite someday the US presidents and ask them about their war crimes
Im sorry yesterday happy with here celebration

Shame on SISI and who led him to power .
97% percent of Egypt like 85 million people?
Yeah even if Egyptians don't like him right now, they choose to get him into power and he knows how to play politics unlike morsi, so Egyptians need to be patient and see what comes of his building projects and economic plans...all things which the Muslim brotherhood never even thought about so there really wasn't an alternative to run the nation back in 2013
Youssef Haitham Do you really believe 97% of the population actually voted for him? 😂😂
parchment543 They didn’t even give the MB a chance. Immediately they started cutting the water and electricity supplies. The army was behind that. If they led Mursi govern Egypt would be among the wealthiest and most Islamic and peaceful countries in the region
