are there any advantages to the cart other than raising it a tiny bit and also being able to roll it instead of carrying it? or are those two main reasons the only reasons that are apparent?
@@zacharyriley4658 This particular cart appears to be cheaper than the JJ George brand (which has a small storage shelf). The 2 advantages you list ARE the BIG reasons for this cart. However, I wonder if you could store your deflector plate underneath for quick access (just a guess though).
Thank you & it was helpful! We're getting ready to purchase the Joe Jr. & this helps a lot. Please publish more about it, your experience with it & recipes. Thanks so much! Help us discover what this Joe Jr. can really do.
Thank you so much and glad it was helpful. I will definitely add more joe junior recipes. I have some in the channel you can explore as well. Thanks for watching!
I forgot to mention when I recently added a comment to your "Chicken Wing Cook" using the the Napoleon basket for the Joe Jr. that in addition to the roll around cart, I purchased the other 4 items you discussed and couldn't be happier! They make life a whole lot better using the Joe Jr. Thanks again for your great informative posts!!
That Woo Ring is such a great idea and ordered my own. I just did my first ever Smoke on my Joe Jr and found it to be a hassle to have to move the grill and deflector separately. I had told me myself that I wish that there was a way to move this one piece. Then a few hours after my cook, I saw this video.
Hey, a fellow Okie. I’ve been thinking about getting a Joe Junior and I’ve been watching your videos on it. Thanks for making these videos. Much love from Edmond
That's awesome, great to connect with fellow Okies! The Joe Junior is a great starting place for a Kamado. Able to cook for your family, portable and affordable.
Broke down and used the links u provided to buy the cart and cover for my joe junior. Cart is a week away for delivery. Can’t wait. Thanks again for putting this video together. Great stuff and enjoying your new vids of the big joe. That thing is a beast!

Ah. Someone who finally designed a cart specifically for KJ. i found one for BGE, but was worried it wouldn’t be a perfect fit. Thanks for doing the research. I’ll target this one when I buy. Having the KJ jr up off the ground will be nice!
Absolutely, it's nice to see some targeted accessories and options for the junior. This cart is not too expensive. The JJ George cedar cart is nice but more expensive. There are a few other options I found.
Great video and tips. I got joe jr about a month ago and im loving it. Could you make a video about setting up the coal and fire. Im having issues sometimes and temperature doesn't climb fast.
Thank you! Do you mean the height with this cart compared to hight with standard kj stand? If so, kj classic would sit higher compared to this stand I have on the jr.
Great question. Depending on your vehicle...you can keep it in metal stand and load in truck bed and anchor it with tie down anchors. If you have larger KJ you can just put it in truck bed and secure like above and the weight will be secure.

I bought the Kick ash can through your link that was provided. When I got the can it wouldn’t fit in my Joe jr. That is when I discovered the link is incorrect. The link is for the medium can and not for the Junior kick ash can.
I'm so sorry to hear that and thank you for letting me know. It looks like they are out of stock from those providers. Typically it gives you the option to click which size when on website. I'll add a note to my description. Both companies are very good and will allow you to return for correct size. Also, AGC has it as well: atlantagrillcompany.com/collections/kick-ash-basket/products/kick-ash-can-kamado-joe-junior
The Smokeware Vent Cap upgrade is worthless. I bought it and the darn thing keeps falling off (yes, I am using the adapter properly). Also, it looks oversized and out of place on the Kamado Joe Jr. I do not recommend it. I just wasted $60 on that thing.
I totally understand and it's not a solution for everyone. The main purpose value is if it sits outside and you need better cover during weather. Otherwise current one is perfectly fine. I'm actually going back to the original as mine sits in a covered patio but just added to show multiple options.
Outstanding information! Not much out there for the Joe Jr but your recommendations are spot on!! 🔥
Thanks Robert! I'm glad it was helpful and will continue to look for more joe junior options.

if you use the ash basket... do you still need to use the fire grate cover?
No, you won't need that! KJ has one they just launched.

@@yc6683 Yes, I'm referring to if you are cooking during the rain or snow that this vent cap would serve you well.
