In Fulton county Atlanta, they have a Legitimation packet that you feel out ...it ll ask for your finances etc...it ll also ask if you want a paternity test...I didn't want it because I was trying to expedite the process and I knew the child was mines.....the mother was an asshole and requested for one until she realizes she ll have to pay🤦🏾♂️....you will also have to summon her to court through a formal process and have her served by a sheriff (it was hard for me because the Heffer kept ducking and moving all the time....I did some slick shit to get her served with the papers).....be prepared to be on child support (although I wasn't because the Heffer never came to court so they just legitimized me without having to pay).....it's a couple of more steps to know but that's really the jist of it ...you ll have your rights as a father and you ll have visitation set up to where she can't keep the child away from you like my BM was doing
