And I became an expert at playing the clarinet in a span of 3 months even better than my clarinet teacher at that time I then switched to playing sax 5 months later Now I'm a pro on the two instrument now and it all thanks to you sir. from a jazz perspective, I think the sax has a nicer sound.........and from the marching band perspective, I'd choose the trumpet due it's loud and herald-like sound nature. In terms which instrument is easy among the two, I'd say the sax is much easier to learn than the trumpet. It took me years to learn the trumpet but a few months to learn the sax. In terms of fingering...I'd say the fingering on the sax is much simpler on the sax even though it's keys out number that of the human fingers😁..... where as even though the trumpet has only three keys/valves, some of the notes have the same fingering or key combination which can be very confusing especially to beginners.
Trumpet is easier in the aspect of fingering but it consumes so much strength,it is a breath taking instrument, Sax is not easy like that because of the fingerings,it has so many keys, it is not as breath taking as the trumpet. On the trumpet,you can play some songs without pressing any key but ur mouth placement matters. But for the sax it is not possible to play song without pressing the keys
They are wind instruments hence determined by blowing and its easier to blow a sax hence sax is easier also cause Trumpets have less keys also makes it harder 😉
