I noticed they had a black tarp up on boardwalk in front of those benches. Few years back my sister in law and I saw the big screen from the benches, Kenny Chesney was singing. Thanks Joey
They had cops plugging all the holes in the fence giving vantage points. Could still see the massive screens from my hotel room balcony. No idea who was singing. All I heard was excessive auto-tune and the same 1-5-4b-6 chord progression over and over.
From what I understand...many boardwalk businesses do not like this festival. The hotels do well...but the boardwalk shops and eateries claim that the festival arrangement allows the folks running it to bring in their own outside food and merchandise vendors. It's a loss of business for tge boardwalk stores, as the hungry and thirsty folks eat and drink and spend on the sand and Not on the boardwalk. Good coverage as always!
Hey, I hope that your night is going great so far. This is an interesting take that I would love to dive into. I’ve spoken to employees at the amusements, and they also say that yes this is a bad weekend for them. On Saturday the rides had to close at 11 PM due to intoxicated visitors. There were still decent line that many of the eateries and games on the boardwalk but it looks like the off boardwalk businesses did very well. I would assume it’s because they didn’t want to bring their family up on the boardwalk. Bottom line, though this festival brings in more money than anything else during the summer. Bars, restaurants, meters hotel, motel… etc were packed. This festival does give a % to the city which does help to do redevelopment projects and it provides jobs for our local companies from the fense people to venders to our county police… etc Overall it does more good than harm but I completely understand your concern
It's great wildwood beaches are so wide to be able to hold an event right on the beach here. We love the beaches in WW. We are actually heading to WW tomorrow morning for a 4 day visit and will be back to WW for a week in August too. Thx for the vids. It's good to keep up on the happenings in WW! I just subscribed to your channel today.
I thought the same thing as I was watching the video. I have nothing against any of the artists, but I think the lineup could have been a lot better. I though last years line up was very good!
Last year was wall to wall people. I remember taking photos of the massive crowd snaking through the sand to get in. This year it felt like more chicks with cowboy boots and daisy dukes were on the boards than inside the show. Left Wildwood yesterday so maybe Kid Rock will have a better draw.
Just wondering if you had a permit to fly over this concert? Because by law as a drone pilot, you have to have a permit to fly over a concert with this many people down below. I hope you have your pilots license because if you don’t you’re breaking so many laws here and you’re giving license pilots like myself a bad reputation.
Good morning Nick. I actually did not fly over the concert grounds but I do have my Part 107, had permission from the festival, had a media pass and had to meet with the New Jersey State Police to get my Remote ID green-lit to fly in the area.
I do wanna add one thing. Remote ID is not required in the US until this upcoming September. But since we know what’s going to happen, I already use it. I would suggest any part 107 to reach out to your local state police and have them run you through their brand new procedures. The technology they have, and how to track people is phenomenal. This new remote ID feature, no people are not happy with, will make the skies a much safer place to fly.
That lady on stage is doing perfect
Good work!!!

Luckily back then the concert was free so you could do that. That was a fun concert.

I'm down here with family and having a blast

Thank you for the footage I didn’t get to make it this year
Joey what happened to all the $1 stores on the boardwalk?
They closed up.
Great video and what a beautiful location for a concert like this. The Wildwoods have it all.
Thanks Joey for the great footage of the concert! Couldn't make it this year. Looks just wonderful! Enjoy!!
I saw the stuff on the beach from maniers pier including the rug
Seems less crowded than last year.

Hello, is this the only coverage you have this year? The only reason I ask is because I really enjoy watching your footage every year from Barefoot.
Today I’ll be doing a walking tour of the property for a video
Ok good. I hope you go through the merchandise stand again this year because I enjoyed it when you went through the stand last year.
@@trevorshurr7763 I will be sure to do that!
@@WildwoodVideoArchive when is the walk through video going to be uploaded?
5pm
Wonder if this will be the setup for Trump's event
It will be close to this
@@WildwoodVideoArchive 👍
What's the capacity of this area?@@WildwoodVideoArchive

Dog beach has to go!!!
Hmmm, us locals know better....
I’m sorry you feel that way but it’s became a great thing for visitors
@@WildwoodVideoArchive until you step in dog doo in your bare feet, in the sand, and heat...lmao
Hope they weren’t selling bud light! They should have a metal or grunge concert next.
I have no idea what kind of drinks they were selling at the concert
Looks like Miller Light was the sponsor!
