I really wanted to compare Lenovo duet 5 with Lenovo tab p11 pro but you compared it with lenovo tab p11 pro and i just didn't expect it from anyone but i really needed it so thanks for the comparison
This is a tough decision. The P12 Pro is an easy rival to the Galaxy Tab S7+ and even the latest Galaxy Tab S8+, especially with Lenovo's own PC Mode. However, that Duet 5 is the best Chrome OS tablet you can have right now with an AMOLED screen, a Snapdragon chipset, and 8/128 RAM/storage for under $500. If I can only have one Chrome OS device, the Duet 5 is the one.
It's definitely a tough choice!

Which storage/RAM option did you go for? And approximately how many apps can you have open before it starts to struggle?
@@ShivamKamaansing Mine had 4 Gigs of RAM. I would've preferred the 8, but honestly I've had numerous apps and tabs open and never once experienced any kind of lag. I'm pleasantly surprised at how smooth chromeOS is.
@@srprimeaux Thank you. I am considering the 8GB RAM Model but my only concern is that it's gonna struggle with multiple apps open. But if the 4GB model has trouble handling it I'm more confident of the 8GB model being able to handle it without major issues. If I ever get it I will reply 👍

That was a pretty good fight thanks for the info also everyone was watching this do consider the pricing so the p12 pro is more expensive so of course it's going to be better than most aspects honestly they do at 5 is a great Chromebook at the sales price right now is 399 and then on Best buy open box excellent condition it's 309 I definitely recommend it at that price point Great deal because it offers so much at that price point That's why the reason the previous Lenovo duet was such a good deal usually went on sale and it came with just so much to offer It was not a powerhouse neither is the new duet but it just offers a lot so at a sales price they're pretty good
Bro I wantes to buy the open box excellent for 309 and import to Singapore, but unfortunately it says not available near Portland, where my shipping storage address is located, so next option is buying satisfactory open box, do u think it would be worth it from best buy buying the later??
@@laks2804 That's the thing about open box I don't live in States either so for people who live in states or if you can get someone to examine the item before purchasing if you go to the best by store they actually will show you it if you ask them they have to so honestly they've heard good and bad things but I've heard some really good stories where satisfactory it still looks like great I think best buys just lazy sometimes so it all depends if you can't examine the item or have someone do that to test it out I wouldn't recommend it as much but if you can have someone go and test it then it passes your requirements you know fully functional all that then yes it's a huge deal
P12 pro wins on Processor and Duet 5 wins on Software, also the better value
I wished Lenovo give the Duet 5 a higher refresh (90Hz) at least, along with a 16:10 aspect ratio which is found on the P12 Pro.
I don't 16:10 will make much difference against 16:9. Also, 16:9 means far better compatibility.
@@farishanafiah8461 16:9 is ugly. Too stretched out and dated.
@@ShellymanStudios It's not like 16:10 is any better since you only add extra 80 pixels vertically.

I'm hooked on my lenovo tablet but my only gripe i dont like many keyboard options that come with lenovo or offered on amazon. I use mine in bed mainly while watching tv or just after work when i want relax. Most keyboards i tried jsut arent good for when you are in bed, not too big of typing on screen sometimes.
5:40 i think you can check it in the settings
At the bottom right, select the time.
Select Settings .
On the left panel, at the bottom, select About Chrome OS.
Select Additional details.
In the “Update schedule” section, you’ll find when your Chromebook will receive its last update

It would be more equal to compare Lenovo P11 to Chromebook duet 3 : same screen 2 k, same format, play store both side but real Chrome on Chromebook.
I bought P11 excellent tablet Android with keyboard 300€ ....I regret have Chrome app versus n'est Chrome on Chromebook.
I think/hope Duet 3 uses the keyboard better than P11 (I don't use keyboard on P11 now, sole bug)
Google should merge Android L and Chrome-OS for Android tablets, then they can actually be much better than iPads.

@@rolins3279 why do you want to merge chrome OS and Android... Chrome OS already supports Android apps. Plus Google has stated limited support for Android on Chrome OS. Because that's not what Chrome OS was intended for.
@@allthenamesaretaken2 I know that Chrome-OS supports Android applications, but having an interface closer to Android and much more integrated would be ideal and simpler for all Android manufacturers who make tablets.
It would be easier if Chrome-OS became the default interface for Android tablets, especially since it will bring Linux support by default.
@@rolins3279 You have no clue what your saying my man. Chrome OS is designed for keyboard and mouse first and touch second. Android is purely designed for touch with other manufacturers making skins to make it desktop like (dex mode, productivity mode). That's why most chromebooks change between desktop mode to tablet mode when you attach a keyboard.
Doesn't matter what Google does to the OS, manufacturers will always skin it to how they want. If you want it to be uniform all around then Google needs to lock it down, you'll end up with just another ios with little to no customisation and variety.
Any chromebook Released recently will get 10 years of OS updates. Just Google AUP (auto update policy).

I think Duet gives you true desktop experience due to platform (Chrome OS)
P12 Pro wins the rest
Ring app is not working properly on this tablet keeps crashing. Wyze app is not compatible on this tablet. The last nightmare I experienced doesn’t screen share with my OLED tv. It’s not the tablet defected. Ring and Wyze they didn’t bother to do better job for chrome products. Also the screen share it’s not supported on this tablet 😖. I did returned 2 of them to Best Buy today I’m very disappointed.
yeah there are something things like this that make me prefer android over chrome OS.
@@FishBeeProductions I really liked the tablet nice sharp looking tablet. the size of the screen and the OLED part plus the 16:9 ratio that’s one thing I’ve been looking for in a tablet for entertainment and view Wyze and ring cameras and screen sharing on my OLED LG TV. But unfortunately nothing worked. I may have to keep using my Teclast m16 tablet.
Now after having a taste of a good quality tablet bigger and much nicer screen. My tablet feels like garbage compared to the duet 5. I can’t find anything else beside Asus Vivobook 13 wish is OLED and 16:9 ratio the problem is windows not android.
Maybe in the future something will come out that meet my expectations and let’s hope the 16:9 ratio will be around too. I don’t like have black lines when I watch movies or play RUclips videos 16:9 is the best for this type of use.
