Blast from the past! Some time ago, I stopped creating weekly supporter videos for viewers who were financially helping to keep the channel afloat. I'm slowly releasing a few of the more popular ones so you may have seen the much shorter version a few years ago. Enjoy! My apologies to any supporters who feel this is unfair as they had exclusive access to these videos in the past. However, ad revenue from RUclips has dropped dramatically and as most of you know I refuse to do any affiliate marketing or accept sponsorship in exchange for promoting products.
I rode this past weekend with a group with riders from 12 to 64, with me being only a year away from the top age. Your comments about keeping up with the fast guys really hit home. We stopped at a single track section and some of the faster guys broke off to do the roughly 3 mile loop. Of course I went with the faster guys, one was 1/4 my age. I kept up for a while and then started making a lot of mistakes and decided to just back it down to old man speed so I could make it out alive. Very humbling!
Ride to survive! Sounds like commonsense to me, Dave. We are just back from a one week tour of the outback. Us three old blokes were going at a reasonable speed but were always at the very back as the other guys sprinted off. Two of them were in hospital the very first morning, heaps of crashes for the rest. We were glad to let them go and ride out of the dust and without any crashes at all for the whole week!
Great looking country side ! Baz with your influence & powers of persuasion maybe Grassroots would setup a Geriatric Class ( over 60)for old coots like me- you young bucks ( under 60) can fend for yourself 😄. Cheers
I 'd love to see that, Wayde! I remember trying the old guys class at an endurocross event eight years ago, thinking everyone would be geriatrics... nope! A pile of ex-champions in their 40s lol. They were lapping me in each event, doh!
We reckon they've judged it really well. Early on we felt it was a bit too easy, but then again the concept of hard enduro was quite new to most Aussies.

Good of you to help volunteer for the event.
Great riding too!
Thanks 👍

Need to upload in 4k these days to get a better quality image and force YT to play the video in the higher codec to avoid the grainy picture.
Track seemed to have the right amount of difficulty for the Muppet class

Good fun
