Stare Down

I was getting refusals using a SJW, heavier variant SJW, midge larva fly, and Grassy Killer fly. @jamesaaron9045 fishing the same stretch, messaged that he landed a Common on an egg pattern. I tied on a Wisconsin cheddar-colored egg and made a cast to a grassy. On the 2nd cast, the drift was right and the Grassy ate. Close to the bank, the hook popped out. The Grassy stared me down, and gave me the middle fin before leaving.
