Looks nice.... I WANT ONE!!!!
@@invisiblerevolution I think you’d be happy for sure! I’m planning to do a review video on it soon and many other videos as well. It’s a fantastic head for splitting and the handle feels great 👍
I ❤ my Adler Super Splitter. Great review Dillon 🙏🏿🇺🇸🪓
I love mine already, James! I plan to do a long review video on it as well and some comparisons with it and other splitting axes and mauls. It’s a wonderful splitting axe for sure and I look forward to putting it to work! 🙏🪓🪵🔥🇺🇸
Just the sound of the tap at the end when you set in down, some hard wood… 🤘
It’s very hard stuff indeed! Great firewood too! Merry Christmas to you and your loved ones
I have one too they are the best
I may right there with you in that after I review it a lot more 👍 I’ve always said fiskars are the best I’ve used but this one will be great competition for it for sure!
it cracked on hit #5
I believe you are correct!
I don't have one but have watched other guys use it and they seem to like it.....nice Dillon.....👍🤙
@@TheNorvikWay I have seen others use them as well and they are correct in saying they are great splitting axes! It will be between it and the fiskars for the best I’ve ever used. I’ll have to put it to work a lot more to decide but it will be a hard choice for me, personally. They are both wonderful splitters for sure! It’s good to hear from you Kevin 🤝
Seems like the perfect length for swinging straight up and not having to whirl around the shoulder with the benefits of a heavy head. I'm trying not to impulse buy more axes but I've been window shopping this haha
I like the handle a lot more than I thought I would, as far as the length goes. The head is heavier than the fiskars but I’m able to whip it around as easy as I can the fiskars with that handle. I definitely recommend it if you decide to get another good splitting axe. Just from what little I’ve used it today I can say it is a fantastic splitter!
Could your fiskars ax do that .that some big rounds and solid wood for sure good job🙏💪
I have done similar rounds with the fiskars for sure so I know it can do it. Which axe does it better is yet to be seen but I do plan to compare them both and test the Adler a lot! It’s good to hear from you my friend!
@bluegrassoutdoors fair enough it's will be interesting to see if the extra weight of the Adler gives it an advantage. God bless, sir 🙏
@@grizzlyridgerunnerGod bless you as well my friend and Merry Christmas to you and your loved ones
👍
It's not an axe ....it's a splitting mull
It’s a splitting axe, as the company itself says, but I can see how people would mistake it for a maul for sure 👍
That is a nice splitter, hope it works at least as good as the Fiskars. Merry Christmas to you and your family
So far it is impressing me a lot, Michael! The head is very similar to the fiskars so I was confident in it before I even swung it. Especially after hearing from others about it. Merry Christmas to you and your family as well my friend 🙏 God bless
Thats 100% camera action to make the oak look bigger than it is... Watch the axe haed grow and shrink as he swings it
@@vanjam412 watch my next short and you’ll see me moving the round 👍
You should have the edge of the axe/maul aligned with the wood grain
You go for the natural crack if you want to split the rounds easier
Wooow great Axe...
It really is, Peter! They make some really good quality axes. I’m very happy and thankful for it.
Better soak that head in some oil for a while so it stays tight
I’ll keep that in mind my friend!
These have been around a while now but I've never checked one out. I'd imagine it feels like a cross between a six pound maul and axe after a night of drinking and waking up together?
They have the weight of a lighter maul but the head design of a splitting axe. They are wonderful splitters for sure!
Do a video on all your chainsaws please
Great maul do yourself a favor take the screws out of the over strike plate I broke the handle reaching for a round to flip it up hit the screw and busted the handle
I’ll keep that in mind. So far I really like it! I’m excited about putting it to use along with the fiskars for many years to come, Lord willing
@bluegrassoutdoors It's a great maul just one design flaw the new handle was 65 bucks took about 2 weeks to get to New Hampshire from Germany. I reinstalled the over strike with E-6000 a waterproof flexible glue and is working great
Awesome Dillon! I thought you would like it.👍
It’s a wonderful splitting axe for sure! I look forward to testing it on many species of wood and doing comparisons with it as well. I’m impressed with it so far! Merry Christmas to you and your loved ones.
@bluegrassoutdoors And to you Dillon!
@@bluegrassoutdoors Adler makes what they call the Long Splitter which has a 4.5 pound head of similar design and a 32" handle which might make for an interesting comparison as well.
Can you do ot on a green piece of oak like that
All o ever get is a bounce
Yes sir! You may be hitting a knot if your getting a bounce. I’ve found it’s easier to bust from the edge of the wood as well.
At a certain point can you really give much credit to the axe?
Of course. The axe is as important as the axeman. If both are good at doing their job you can have fantastic results. If one is lacking, whether it’s the axe or the axeman, the results will suffer. Put an axe that’s poor at splitting in a skilled axeman hands and he will have a bad day in tough woods. Put a good splitting axe in a man’s hands that’s not skilled or tempered with an axe and the results will show as well. One is as important as the other, in my opinion 🪓🙏
