Yah, but Aprilia is a finicky type of bike. That needed to be ridden in the particular manner unlike the Ducati that can able to suit to most of the riders with various rising style. Although Martin's arrival is huge for them. As they have landed best & fast rider that can able to suit the Rs-GP's character. Of course it needs some improvements to get it imprinted to him. But what I am worried is Bezzechi. The guy is fast & talented on a bike. No doubt about that but it seems he has been slow to find a solution when he has problem. Like this year with his Gp23 eventhough he already knew what he needs to do.
Oh give me break, Martin is a faster rider than pecco. I think the Aprilia is faster actually. With the right set up. He's going to show what that Aprilia can really do! Mark these words! Go Martinator!!!!!
Why is everyone so sure that Jorge will deliver on another bike. On that Pramac Ducati even Zarco used to be fast. I think this is the end for Jorge even tho Aprilia is a good bike but I don't see him being consecutive on it, maybe few podiums and that's it. Also until it's official I still think that Ducati will choose Enea over MM. Yeah I read Carlo Pernat saying he's going to GasGas but they were also saying that Jorge is already a ducatis rider.
I think Martin shown consistency across a variety of tracks for sometime. That's more than a lot of really talented riders have done. Adaptability is another factor which you don't know until a rider actually switches. Some riders are fast on a certain bike and never again while others can adapt their riding style. Jorge Lorenzo was the former. Incredibly talented on the Yamaha M1 and never did well on anything else.

Martin looks like his spirit is broken behind his smile in that Aprilia contract photo. I think he felt gutted after losing 2nd to Enea, and probably lost the Red seat to Marquez in that moment
The Aprilia is a ultra precise bike. It's fast but only if ridden lap after lap on the best line. You get one corner wrong and the bike is going backwards.
I feel a bit sorry for Jorge, he’s done everything right and can’t do no more. People have gotten the factory seat from achieving a lot less Jack Miller for example. But you would be an idiot to let Marc go. That 23 bike is around a second slower a lap around Mugello but Marc could still hang with the leaders. He was the only guy that could win on a Honda too in the latter years. Look how far behind the other 23 spec Ducatis are after each race. I went to Silverstone in 2013 and he had a penalty and the way he carved his way through the field was amazing. He was battling with Lorenzo who you could see was very smooth riding when Marc was like a bucking bronco. Elbow on the curb and you could hear the difference in engine revs his bike sounded like it was being tortured. He’s the best rider I’ve ever seen well him and Stoner. When you see them race live you can see the difference.
For sure. How many riders can consistently come from 13th or 14th and finish on the podium? Marc did it two races in a row. Martin deserves a good ride and he got it, but maybe not on his first choice of bike.
@@ExpatonTwoWheels Exactly. Imagine if he was on a 24 spec Ducati? He wouldn’t be leaving behind the other factory bikes like he does with the other 23 spec bikes. But he would still be leaving them behind for sure. He’s had some very quick team mates in the past that he’s ended the careers of, like Dani Pedrosa and Jorgé Lorenzo for example. As for Jorgé Martin it’ll definitely be interesting to see how he gets on with the Aprilia next year. It’s not a bad bike, it’s the next best bike after the Ducatis. That’s why the Ducati bosses couldn’t afford to lose Marc to them or KTM as they know Marc can make up for that lack of a few tenths a lap. With Jorge ok, he wanted the factory team bike. But it’s worth remembering that at the end of last year it was him that gave Ducati that ultimatum. He could have still had the factory bike with factory support with Pramac but he chose another manufacturer instead. One thing about Aprilia is they’re very loyal to their riders and will give him everything that he asks for. Unlike Ducati or even KTM to a certain extent, who just bin riders when they struggle a bit.
I think it's also important to note that the gp23 that Marc is using is the first spec of that bike from 2023, we all saw how hard a time the factory riders were having on this version of the bike at the start of 2023. It is not the gp23 that finished the year winning the championship with pecco. Personally I think it's truly amazing what Marc is doing on that bike, qualifying on Saturday when Marc was almost half a second up before crashing shower signs of the old honda days where he can literally pull a crazy lap time from nowhere. Marc on a gp25 probably 4 or 5 steps forward from the bike he has now is frighteningly formidable. Marcs 2024 mugello race time was 22 seconds faster then that 2023 race winning time.
@@scottmurray2890 You’re absolutely bang on the money mate. He’s riding the bike that Zarco had last year. The 2 factory bikes went to Rossi’s VR46 team. Marc had a new exhaust valve to test Monday but because of the rain he just did a few practice starts. I’m 42 and my whole family are bikers. Even my Sister rides she has a her own RUclips channel working her bike. I’ve been watching MotoGP all my life and have been to quite a few races that’s one of the beauties of living in the UK. Assen is just a few hours drive away through the channel tunnel and I’ve been to Mugello once in 2006 at the height of the Rossi era. I would say Marquez is the best rider I’ve seen in my lifetime. The way he rides is unreal the way he was hanging off that Honda when I watched him at Silverstone, I’ll never forget it. He looked like he was the verge of crashing he was that far leaned over. Casey Stoner is another one that I remember well. The way he blipped the throttle through the corners on that Ducati. The bike sounded like tearing metal as he accelerated. Kevin Schwantz also on the lucky strike Suzuki sliding it down Craner curves at the old Donington Park was wild. He would leave a black line every time and sometimes with smoke coming off the rear tyre. One year my Mum was going through some old photos and she had a photo taken with her sitting on Barry Sheene’s GP bike with him. Sorry I was rabbling on there lol. But yeah Marquez is unreal and it just shows you how bad Honda are at the moment. They’re riding round dead last ( bear in mind this year’s bike is an improvement from last year) when he didn’t crash he was still getting 7th place finishes. I see a tv interview with one of the Ducati engineers and he said the telemetry data from Marquez is unbelievable how he rides the bike and is able to make up the difference with the GP23 which lacks significant traction out the corner compared to the GP24 machines.

Oh cry me a river. In 2015 a slow rider thought he could get one of the faster riders out of the way and finish second in every race and win a title. Conconcted a conspiracy theory and sent his rabid zombies after that rider. But he miscalculated who he was messing with and it blew up in his face and he never amounted to anything ever since.
Ducati rules the show. Sorry we need All other manufacturers to get up to speed. Great riding and competition but boring when only one bike brand wins every race.
Martin to Ducati factory was a move that never made sense to me. He doesn't bring anything to the team that they already get from Pecco. He's only a year younger than Pecco. He's not Italian. Pecco can win races just as well as Martin and can win championships. People talk about Martin's performance this year. I am not that convinced with his performance. It took Marc 2 races to figure the bike out. At the end of those two races, Marc was 33 points behind Martin. Since then he has lost an aggregate of 2 points to Martin across 5 race weekends. Marc is on a year old bike. With all the issues he's been having with qualifying and bad fridays that typically come with a new project. Ducati has had a free preview of what Marc can do and they are impressed. Not keeping Marc to keep Jorge would've been a brain dead move IMO.
Also, Marquez has a significantly greater commercial appeal than Martin. He will help Ducati sell more motorcycles and better sponsors than Martin would have done. Lastly, having Marc on the Aprilia or KTM is likely to be more of a danger to Ducati than Martin.

The only reason Marquez got hurt was through trying to over ride the uncompetitive Honda. As for disrupting the team, he was the top rider at Repsol Honda so rightly had a say on who got what parts and data. Rossi did the same as have all no 1 riders. Stoner just has a chip on his shoulder and Pedrosa wasn’t complaining, just highlighting what happens to you as second rider. Ducati operate a different system giving all factory riders the option on upgrades and data.
I saw that coming because Ducati is stupid and isn't thinking of the future. Marc's remaining time in MotoGP is limited and he's one crash away from ending his career entirely with his eye problem. Jorge deserved the ride and Ducati blew it.
I would argue that they have the potential to do so only in occasional races. In my opinion, they do not yet have the potential to beat Ducati over a season.
This wasn't a surprise for me. I prayed that Aprilia takes in Martin, they lack a consistent rider. Rumor is Maverick too will be leaving Aprilia. Aprilia should get Bastianini in his place. Fro trackhouse team, they can replace Miguel with Joe Roberts from Moto 2.
Aprilia is not a slow bike at all in fact it is very fast almost everywhere. Aprilia Team needs a rider to ride it properly. On the other hand Mark will destroy Ducati's team dynamics.
Are we watching the same sport? Team dynamics in MotoGP is what exactly? One rider wingman the other? Why don't just give Karel Abraham the 2nd factory bike and call it a day..another case stunted mental development
" On the other hand Mark will destroy Ducati's team dynamics." This is nonsense. Marquez is no Rossi, he has never clashed with his teammates. Mind you, he has never had a teammate capable of competing with him, so he has had no reason to fall out with them. In all honesty, I don't expect that to change much next year.
IMO Martin signed out of emotion rather than career strategy. Decent chance he wins the championship for Pramac, but this will be his only one. The Aprilia is fickle, super competitive some tracks and mid-pack others. And does not have bulletproof reliability as the Ducati does. I expect him to become very frustrated over the next two years and sniff around for the factory Ducati ride again once Marquez retires, if Ducati would even consider him again. Had Martin just swallowed his pride, took millions of Euros (and maybe had a #1 on his bike) to stay with Pramac...Ducati would still have 8 bikes and three of the four best riders on the grid.
I think Pramac was gone regardless. That's one reason no one wanted to stay at Pramac. The riders contracts are with Ducati, not the team. They can switch them between teams whenever they want. One of the Ducati bosses said that in an interview. He would have gotten the VR46 bike in place of Digia.
@@ExpatonTwoWheels yamaha must be paying a pretty penny to Pramac. Having two spots on the grid is valuable for sure Olivera and Miller will extend their careers another year or two fighting for single digit points finishes then off to WSBK.

@@ItsJustMe-e7h Oh don't be silly. Until he had his accident, he was the absolute dominant force in MotoGP. His last season before the accident was one of the best seasons ever put together by any rider in the history of MotoGP. It was only after he was injured, and the other riders had a greater input, that the bike stopped winning. Even then, despite carrying an ongoing injury which required further operations to correct, he was the only Honda rider capable of winning a race or even of putting the bike on the podium. The truth, if you are even vaguely interested in hearing it (I strongly suspect that you are not), is that Honda failed to keep pace with the development of aero. That was not the fault of Marquez or, indeed, of the other Honda riders.

I saw that coming because Ducati is stupid and isn't thinking of the future. Marc's remaining time in MotoGP is limited and he's one crash away from ending his career entirely with his eye problem. Jorge deserved the ride and Ducati blew it.
Thumbnail is fire... made me click, good take as well..
No - saw it coming and it’s no shock as Aprilia has best potential to beat Ducati and with Jorge 👍🙏🥰
I would argue that they have the potential to do so only in occasional races. In my opinion, they do not yet have the potential to beat Ducati over a season.
@@tonyb9735 let’s see 2026 👍
@@selbstsein967 Indeed, in either case, let's hope it's a season of great racing 🙂
Very good blogs ❤
Very nice blog .. 👍
They just announced Bastianini is going to KTM. Hoping Joe Roberts does well.

Aprilia is not a slow bike at all in fact it is very fast almost everywhere. Aprilia Team needs a rider to ride it properly. On the other hand Mark will destroy Ducati's team dynamics.
MM and Pecco will be like Dovisioso and Iannone ?
@@gbone7581 I agree with you. Like Doohan and Criville as well.
Are we watching the same sport? Team dynamics in MotoGP is what exactly? One rider wingman the other? Why don't just give Karel Abraham the 2nd factory bike and call it a day..another case stunted mental development
" On the other hand Mark will destroy Ducati's team dynamics."
This is nonsense.
Having two spots on the grid is valuable for sure
Olivera and Miller will extend their careers another year or two fighting for single digit points finishes then off to WSBK.
@@sburns2421 they need those guys experience to develop the Yamaha. I was going to make a video about Pramac. Not sure enough people care, though.
Doogardie?
It's about time he left ducati, lol Ducati is overrated. You see how fast they had peccos bike running. Well mugello, Italy, pecco. It only makes sense. Such a shame what they actually talk about, and plan inside the paddock. Ridiculously silly monopoly bye silly management who want it there way. Well that's all about to change!
The big question is with MM93 riding the same bike as Pecco, what excuse will MM93 and his fans have when he does not make the podium!
Are you really dumb? He did 6 consecutive podiums with 2023 bike fighting with 2024s.
The big question is when will u take the yellow nob out from ur gob 😂😂😂😂
Lol, Pecco won't even see which way Marc went. Bagnaia, Quatararo and Mir all owe their championships to a badly broken arm and a badly designed Honda.
He’s already on podiums on last year’s machine, do you even watch moto gp? Typical salty 46 fan comment.
@@jarlborg1531a Honda that was developing only around marc…so if that bike was miserable, it’s marc to blame for that and all those marc fans bragging of his skills…now they are crying for gp24 ,they know he can’t win on the 2nd best bike on the grid 😂
Marquez can only win on the best bike. He never turned a loser into a winner so he's not worthy of being called the G.O.A.T. or Rossi status.
WTF? That's exactly what he was doing season after season, winning championships on a bike that nobody else could even get into the top 5. Have you ever actually watched MotoGP?
It's not gonna work out at Lenovo with 2 superstars riding for them.any ti.e you have a situation like that, egos will clash and that will be the end of it unless ducati tells Marc that he is number 2
MM won't listen to that.
@@gbone7581 he should.it happened while he was at honda with lorenzo
You think there would be no ego clash between Pecco and Martin? That's hilarious.
@mignik01 no I don't and it's because they've already been racing against each other on identical bikes so there's no "he's on this years bike and I'm on last years bike" ego battle .pecco and Jorge bothe came into motogp with ducati so there's no "outsider" ego.and since both pecco and Martin are gonna be around for a good while, there's really no "I'm in a hurry to get my next title"ego which is what hurt Lorenzo so bad with ducati AND repsol.marquez AND ducati japped martin of his shot at a title with ducati and even though that's ego on Martin's side,he earned a shot in the red suit and marquez has not.marquez should've been thrilled with a ride at primacy but he let his ego get in the way
@@bedfordforrest4426 I love that you think Martin will accept being the second rider to Pecco. Yeah that's never gonna happen. There will be friction either way. So if you are gonna have friction, don't do it for Martin. Do it for Marquez.
Marc has destroyed everyone on the same bike. Two of them are race winners. And his lap by lap average position is SIX ahead of the next best GP23. They have seen the data and didn't want him to go to a rival. Out of the two, they'd rather see Martin riding for a rival and not Marquez.
