    I really like your music selection...I've used almost all of those tunes in my videos. Looking forward to getting one of these for myself!

    I really appreciate the review and the time you took on this. I pre-ordered it almost the second I could. Knowing I'd never afford the Spring, I opted for a Record Alice as my first Alice experience (outside of random brief encounters in the 2000's on cheap membrane boards). I was instantly hooked. I wasn't, however, instantly "good" but it was well worth the time. I'm glad you've enjoyed this and that, based on what I've seen, it meets the expectations that it set out to. Keep the great videos coming!

      Thank you! I’m glad you enjoyed it. I was always in the boat of ergo keyboards being a bit too ‘weird’ but now that I’ve had the opportunity to type on one, combined with the quality neo produces, I definitely see the appeal.

    • @StillthatguyJake

      @dill-keebs Absolutley! They are not for everyone. I still think I type faster on a standard board but I get less fatigue over time on ergo. I'm glad they offered the wrist rest as the chin is mighty high. I think the lowest Alice chin I have is the M6 and it is different entirely...and not tented.

    I love how it has magnetic connects for the PCB, it just makes the board feel so much more premium for so cheap. Great vid btw!

      first custom build since 2019 ? wow appreciate your patience, congratulation. During covid, building custom keyboards was one of the things that keep me alive while doing WFH. Lost of counts on how many gb I joined since that time. Glad that this hobby is getting more on more accessible now

    appreciate the review, seems like folks really are impressed by this board! I love the thought of building this soldered and plateless with some broken in MX Browns, but I’ve got too many boards at the moment! Maybe I’ll have to come back to this down the line, great that they have these on a rolling preorder!

    • @dill-keebs
      @dill-keebs  4 месяца назад +1

      The rolling preorder is a great idea, reduces the fear of gb FOMO when normally you only have two weeks to decide. But overall I am very happy with the Ergo, cannot wait to see what Neo comes up with next!

    • @dill-keebs
      @dill-keebs  4 месяца назад +1

      100% would be keen for that, I’d really like to get my hands on a HE keyboard. If neo does create a 60% I would really like a full bottom weight with HHKB and WKL support. If that was the case I would probably buy multiple haha.

      @@dill-keebsa full bottom weight with gummy o ring or plateless support would be right up my alley! The Laminar 60% boards have definitely piqued my interest (especially the sagrada), but it was a little too expensive for me to justify.

    So, there's no battery required for the Tri-mode wireless? That seems pretty odd, although no one has ever mentioned a battery being required. I understand that it's a received... but doesn't it also need to transmit the key signals? How does it communicate?

    • @dill-keebs
      @dill-keebs  4 месяца назад +1

      Glad you enjoyed! I’m lazy and kept it as the final sound test I recorded. Which was the IVWorks switches with full foam. But i was really surprised with how good the oil kings, alu plate and no foams was. I would keep the case foam in to prevent case ping from the stabilisers, but otherwise I think no foams sounds amazing in the ergo.

      I would really like to get my hands on the original HHKB one day. Learn more about topre and how to build them. I definitely had my eyes on the heavy grail when it came out. It would be interesting to make a video on that

    • @lawbinson
      @lawbinson 4 месяца назад

      @@dill-keebs The original HHKB actually wasn’t Topre. So, be careful! The HHKB Professional (1) was the first one with it but they’re quite difficult to find nowadays since a lot of people like the feeling of aged Topre domes.
      If I had to recommend one to start with, I’d recommend one of the Hybrids since you can customize the layout a bit as well using their software. If you already know that you’ll be able to fully adjust to the traditional HHKB layout, then the HHKB Pro Classic is a good option as well.
      Looking forward to one day seeing your video on it :) Cheers

    Hey mate, nice video! To be clear though - the tenting is not neo's idea. This is quite a popular idea at the moment thanks to 7v designer Gok, from New Zealand, who has been tirelessly prototyping his Type-K for 4 years to make it perfect.
    The Neo Ergo is a fantastic board, I even picked one up, but although this is not a "cash grab", they are still clearly cashing in on the conversation and excitement started by Gok & the people he worked with to bring us the Type-K.

    Great video mate. I recently have been watching a lot of content on this board. I ended up biting and ordered the grey to go with my Dualshot 2 keycaps. I am personally impressed by the quality of the keyboard, especially considering the price. This will be my first in this style so it will take me some getting used to, but I do tend to type very by the book (I still follow the way I learned to type in class with all my fingers being used).
    Anyway, great video. I like the flow of it and the chapter by chapter separation.
