There are a ton of action cameras available but today I'm taking a look at the GA100 from Wolfang. And in this video I'll go over some of the major features of this budget action camera and later on show some test footage so you can see what the video quality looks like. In the box, it comes with a ton of accessories! Most of which are different types of support mounts. But here are the more important accessories that are included.
The Wolfang GA100 comes with a wireless remote control and 2 rechargeable batteries. It also comes with a wired lavalier mic for better sound quality. And it also has an extra battery and separate dust cover. This dust cover has holes in it for better audio recording. But if you use it, the case will no longer be waterproof so watch out for that! It's got all the familiar button controls you'd find on almost any action camera so it's super easy to use. The GA100 shoots video in 4K but is also capable of 2.7K, 1080 and 720P resolutions with optional image stabilization. In photo mode it becomes a 20 megapixel camera. Plus it can do time-lapse, loop recording and slow motion video... as well as function like a dash cam when using car mode.
One thing to know is that the battery cover is not on a hinge so it's easy to lose. That's probably why there's an extra battery cover in the package. As far as storage goes, the GA100 is compatible with Class 10 micro SD cards up to 64GB. Most of the time I use included tripod adapter. I like this piece because I'm more likely to use a tripod with this camera than the standard connector. It allows me to attach things like my Fat Gecko suction cup mount which is really helpful when I shoot from a vehicle.
The GA100 can also connect through it's own WiFi to a smartphone using the Live DV app. To connect, press the WiFi button on the side of the camera. You'll know it's ready for pairing when you see the camera name and password on the screen. Then on either iPhone or Android, go to WiFi settings and tap on the camera name. On mine it's Live DV_3435. Enter the password shown on the camera's screen and tap Join. Once connected there'll be a notification that says No Internet Connection. This is something you don't have to worry about. Now open the Live DV app and tap on Start Connect. In a few seconds, I can access and download camera files to my phone for easy sharing! Through the Live DV app, my phone can even be used as a viewfinder. I can even take pictures or start video recording remotely from my phone!
Speaking of remotes, I can also use the included wireless remote to take pictures or record video in situations when I can't or don't want to use my phone. But I think it would've been nice if they made the video button red instead of gray. I do appreciate the fact that I can press the camera button to take a picture or use the video button to start recording no matter what mode I'm in. However, don't get the remote wet because it's not waterproof! But the camera inside the sealed case on is waterproof up to 40 meters.
For about $65 I think the Wolfang GA100 is a pretty amazing camera. Much cheaper than a GoPro and great for people like me who like to save money on gadgets. It's got all the functionality I'm looking for and a lot of included accesories! With up to 4K resolution, I wouldn't hesitate to include the Wolfang footage in other 4K projects. What is the maximum continuous (unbroken) video footage recording time in 4K before it ends the recording and starts another recording?

Currently in the market for a "action cam" for my channel, Ive always wanted a new go pro, Ive got a first gen 720p hd hero but well out of date! think i might give this a try. Compared to the price of a go pro which is around £400 in the uk this is 50... cant go wrong at trying it for 50 quid! Cheers for the video its helped me.

I’ve got two of these I use on my motorbike. The only issue I have is vibration, so I can get wavy footage. But generally these are great cameras for the money.
best using it on your helmet because you absorb more shock

How is it and getting details from license plates?

License plates ? Its perfectly legal to film license plates. There are cameras everywhere doing just that. And of course, there is no expectation of privacy in public. If there was......... there would be no CCTV, and cars couldnt have dash cams fitted

Hi, I see you use your iphone to connect to the cams wifi. I tried to myself but it keeps saying that there is no internet connection. And because of that it won’t connect. Now I can’t use the app. How did you make your iphone connect without there being internet?
I actually had trouble with one of these Wolfang cameras connecting to my iPhone. Can’t remember which model it was. But at some point they updated their app and then I was able to connect. So when you connect with wifi to the camera there isn’t an internet connection. It’s just using wifi technology to communicate between the 2 devices. I have also found that sometimes the app itself won’t connect the 1st time. So I have to disconnect wifi and restart the app. Then when I try the connection again it works. Hopefully you get it connected. You can also contact Wolfang support and report the issue you’re having. Last thing. They don’t really share the range of the wifi connection but I do know on the GA420 I was getting disconnected only a few feet away. Thanks for watching!
The downsides is that it heats up real quick and the battery lasts about 5 minutes other than that it's a great camera
My camera won’t do the connection to my phone it just says please connect to the network and gives me a option on my phone .. go to references or cancel tried deleting the app reinstalling it I’ve tried to reset the camera what do I do ? I need to download the videos off the camera I’ve got the photos and 5 videos I’ve taken but now it won’t work
you can take the SD card out and use a reader that connects to your laptop or computer via usb

I got the same cam, but my manual says I can use a 128 gig card. Seems to work fine.
I use a 512 gig. SD card in mine and it works fine.
