Hello, I'm trying to import a .pdf floor plan. When it is imported the image quality is very low and the text in the document is unreadable. How can I fix this?
@@Visual3DSoftware "Unable to convert at that resolution, image will not be changed. Error-2147221497. Out of Memory " only 33% of my system memory is in use.
@@Vincevegasixtynine No, quit trying to attempt this. The plan was to export from Revit to sketchup and then to visual. But visual can’t handle anything bigger than a closet sized sketchup file it seems.
@@Vincevegasixtynine dedicated graphics card seems to be a necessity for this, I’m using a 1650 super but the more the better. The “minimum” requirements listed on the website are pretty dang low. 6.5mb is a big CAD file for this.
@@Vincevegasixtynine Phil, depending on the number of background objects imported in, Visual can start to slow down once it hits around 100k background objects (depending on your system hardware). You can send the file to support@visual-3d.com and we can see if the speed issue would likely be due to the objects imported in or for another reason
There is not a maximum file size, but with Sketchup files, the program will start to struggle depending on the number of solids in the project. You can always send the file to support@visual-3d.com and we can take a look and see if we can import on our end or not.

From the properties sidebar, select the PDF. There is a Resolution property that defaults to 100%. You can increase the resolution and select Apply.

Is there a best practices guideline for importing sketchup? Max file size? My app keeps crashing when I attempt to import SKP.
did you find out an answer for the max files size? I imported a 6.5MB CAD file and it significantly slowed the software down.
