08/25/2020 - Severe Thunderstorm Warning - New York City, NY.

So I finally got a Samsung Galaxy Note 20 Ultra today and this is the BEST opportunity to test its camera capabilities...and I am beyond impressed! This beast lived to its title. Fitted with an 108MP camera, this thing can digital zoom like no others, and can do spectacular wide shots! I guess it's finally time to ditch that old DSLR.
Anyways, this anticipataed severe thunderstorm came through the Tri-state area later afternoon. The shelf cloud that came rolling in was followed by extremely strong winds (possibly 70+ mph) and a brief period of heavy downpour. Needless to say, power outages and down trees in the area are widespread in the aftermath, exacerbating the damages from Tropical Storm Isaias.

I was in Queens when this happened. There was a very powerful wind gust, and a second after, there was loud thunder that was weirdly quick. Then less than a minute after that, it started to pour down rain. After that, I didn’t hear much thunder surprisingly. I’m guessing the wind I experienced was at 2:40
