Very helpful teaching. There is a good kind of fearing God and a bad kind.
The good kind is an extreme reverence that understands what would happen if we walk away from him. But this kind of fear involves no anxiety.
The bad kind is an anxious fear.

    Genesis 4:8-16
"8 Cain spoke to Abel his brother. And when they were in the field, Cain rose up against his brother and killed him.
9 Then the Lord said to Cain, " Where is Abel your brother? " He said, " I do not know; am I my brother's keeper? " 10 And the LORD said, " What have you done? The voice of your brother's blood is crying to me from the ground.
11 And now you are cursed from the ground, which is opened its mouth to receive your brother's blood from your hand.
12 When you work the ground, it shall no longer yield to you it strength. You shall be a fugitive and a wanderer on the earth."
13 Cain said to the LORD, my punishment is greater than I can bear.
14 Behold, you have driven me today away from the ground, and whoever finds me will kill me."
15 Then the LORD said to him, " Not so! If anyone kill Cain, vegeance shall be taken on him sevenfold."
And the LORD put a mark on Cain, lest any who found him should attack him.
16 Then cain went away from the presence of the LORD and settled in the land of Nod, east of Eden."( Genesis 4:8-16 ESV)

Amen to John 15:15❤. The Bible said in 2 Corinthians 8: 9-15,
"9 For you know that the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ( Jesus😊1st❤), that though he was rich, yet for your sakes he became poor,
so that you through his poverty might become rich.
10 And here is my advice about what is best for you in this matter: Last year you were the first not only to give but also have the desire to do so.
      11 Now finish the work,
so that your eager willingness to do it may be mattered by your completion of it, according to what he does not have.
13 Our desire is not that others might relieve while you are hard pressed, but that there might be equality.
14 At the present time your plenty will supply what they need, so that in turn their plenty will supply what you need. Then there will be equality,

    11 Now finish the work,

13 Our desire is not that others might relieve while you are hard pressed, but that there might be equality.

you wives of Lamech, listen to what I say:
I have killed a man for wounding me, a young man for striking me.
24 If Cain's revenge is sevenfold, then Lamech's is seventy- sevenfold."

That is so immoral telling slaves to obey their master instead of saying, set the slaves free, and let God be the master of their life

    • @maxaplin4204
      @maxaplin4204 Год назад

      That is too simplistic.
If Christians who owned slaves had typically freed all their slaves, the Christians would have become known for doing this. And we can easily imagine that powerful people with interests in slavery would have reacted strongly for fear that the practice of not owning slaves might catch on. The persecution of Christians would almost certainly have increased. But the Christians were being persecuted enough as it was.
And as far as buying slaves is concerned, if Christians didn’t buy them, then pagan owners would have. And life for a slave with a pagan owner would typically have been far worse than for one with a Christian owner. In fact, if Christian owners acted on the principles in Eph. 6:9 and Col. 4:1, their slaves should not have been harshly treated at all.

The difference is that our God is a perfect master. Don’t compare it directly to human slavery. If He let’s someone go (to their own passions), then they are free, but not free from sin. They are a slave to that.
You have to choose. I’d much rather be a slave of The Most High, than a slave to anything else. He knows what’s best for me, and I trust Him with my salvation, as well as my life.

Its very important to understand what slavery was in ancient hebrew culture. A slave was not someone you could beat on a whim when they did something wrong.
Master were responsible for their servants wellbeing. Much like God is for us, if we are true slaves to his son the Christ. If a slave ran away from a master, the slave was not aggressivley apprehended and brought to their master. In fact if a slave was caught running away he likely had a good reason. But like our relationship with god if we run away we are not forced to come back.
This is a perfect master slave relationship, but tainted by sin and mans own desire.
