- We planted this Pinguicula tank a few years ago and let’s take a look at it, now that all the plants have grown in and several natural cycles have come through.

When you do your redo of this tank, it'd be great if you can show what equipment is used for this set up. Lights? Lid? No lid? Partial lid? How deep is your substrate? What is your substrate - do you use something different for a non-draining system? Great looking terrarium! So beautiful and lively!
Do you have a video or any snip its of the Pingdom being made? I have a Rudsta Tall from Ikea that houses my pings and dews. I would eventually like to make it a living cabinet. A how to video would be fantastic! I have seen others attempt and succeed at this but info from you all would greatly help with the "right way" to do it and longevity. Thanx and loved the video! ❤️
We’re going to make a video all about building ping terrariums!
@@California_Carnivores Fantastic!! 😁
Nice terrarium, could you guy do a video on pollenating pinguicula?
I’ll add it to the list!
Spectacular! How often does it get watered?
It really depends on the humidity and heat but in summer Damon waters it quite frequently with a watering can
@@California_Carnivores Thanks!
I love the progression of this terrarium! Question: in a terrarium,
what should one do when some of the pings go into their winter phase while others are actively growing?
That’s always tricky. We try to think about that when we place them so that we can carefully water and restrict water to some areas of the terrarium. Otherwise you don’t need to worry to much and just try to find a balance between reducing water a little and still keeping the other plants wet. Luckily they all are pretty forgiving.
Wow! I didn't realize pings got so big, so cool!
It is such a beautiful ping haven. 🌱
I'm not familiar with Mexican pings at all, when it's time for their succulent dormancy. Do you keep the medium dry as a bone or is it barely damp?
It’s a little bit of a nuanced watering game in winter. They can get alarmingly dry and be okay but it’s a best practice to let them dry all the way out for a few days, even a week and then water a little; a 1/4” into their water trays.
Very cool to see it again, thank you! It's getting out of control! I love seeing the variety in colors, shape and size. Those gigantea are huge, I look forward to the one I ordered from you guys getting that big!
Are you open to the public? Bcause your website said it's closed to the public because of covid.
I hope you are, it was almost 5 years ago I visited your nursery & hopefully visit when I pass through your area.
We closed to the public during Covid and hav remained closed as we made a lot of changes and now have focused solely on our mail order business. We have all of our available plants online 😊
@@California_Carnivores Oh well, I hoped. It was nice visiting your plants, & always end up buying a few dozen.
Oh well, I can only hope you change your position. Anyways, I still buy some of your plants. Probably buy a few more later.
Very cool video. And I would love to see the next step!!
Hello, do you ship to Canada?
Unfortunately we don’t ship live plants outside the US
