Is the "L" on top of the head the left most spray? Said another way, is the L pointing towards the the start of the pattern?
L is the beginning of regulation. Turning to the right opens the water supply.Sorry for late response.

I removed those blue filters inside and they are working much better distance. Am I making a mistake?
it depends on the cleanliness of your water pipes but i think sooner or later the nozzle gets stuck

How much water pressure is needed for 4-5 Rain Bird 1804VAN sprinklers? Please suggest a water pump for this.
Dont know..once i made a test and conected 2 sprinklers in-line with 5bar pressure ,first was sprayig 5m circle second 3m so i guess 4-th 1m.Best is sprinkler with pressure regulator,they keep for example 2bar for each and every spray the same.About water pump i never think about,i have in my city waterworks 5bar so dont need pump.
I have installed five 1802 with 15 VAN Nozzle for a year, but I have seen that they no longer have the same range, I put last week the 18 VAN nozzle on them but I see that water comes out of the sides of the stem and it does not go up completely and the range is not greater than 1 ft. How can I prevent water from coming out everywhere that could be taking away my pressure?
@@enriquerodriguez4004 how old is the sprinkler, maybe the gasket has worn out?You can use sprinkler with pressure regulator or add presure regulator to each those sprinkler you have now or buy new one than you will see where is the problem.
@@allweneed9251 They are relatively new, they have not been installed for more than half a year. I noticed that the central sprinkler that was open to 360 closing it almost completely leaves the power to those at the ends. By doing this, the garden is completely irrigated.
What is the indicator on the head to tell you the direction of the spray? It is all black on black & no one shows what the head looks like at zero.
On the top of nozzle you have arrows shows what direction to turn to increase so if you turn oposite to the end you will find punkt zero.Would be easier if there was a white point but is NOT.
I am wanting to change a 4 inch pop up to a 12 inch pop up. Rainbird system . Can I just change the pop up part?
You need to change whole sprinkler.

does the screw change distance? ive tried to adjusting it but it doesnt seem to change anything 🤔
The screw does not change distance,only keep head parts together,you can only adjust how wide water spray by turning lower part of head.If you want change distance you need to regulate by water pressure.

Sorry but that's incorrect!
The screw on the top is the distance adjuster...
If you turn the top screw *"counter clockwise"* it will give you a farther out spray distance and if you turn the top screw *"clockwise"* you will get a shorter distance out spray.
