I think if Salt Bae would just lower the absurd prices at his restaurants, people’s general perception would change. You can’t charge French Laundry prices for a gimmicky steakhouse.
I worked at this location. It was dead everyday I worked. The entire place is a scam. They have servers pour by default Voss bottled water without letting the guest know it’s $10 a bottle, so by the time the check comes you’ve payed upwards to $50 just in water. The management harasses you into selling gold steaks. Put it into perspective adding gold to a steak can cost upwards to an extra 3-$400 depending on cut. The actual gold sheets costs $10 on Amazon. The management and rest of the staff are incredibly rude and toxic to their employees. They also cater to clientele that is social media obsessed and looking for clout, so the guests you’re waiting on are just mind numbingly shallow that are just on their phones the entire time taking selfies and taking pics and videos of their food. Top it all off, majority of the guests would barely tip 10% because they didn’t realize how expensive the bill was and was just trying to get a cool shot for their Instagram. The food is excellent, don’t get me wrong, but you are getting robbed for the price. Put it lightly, this was the worst restaurant I’ve ever worked in. I put my notice in after 2 weeks, the shortest time I’ve ever worked at any place. I’m so glad it pushed me out of the industry forever and into an office job. I’m so much happier.
@@weaver3636 That’s the worst part, staff didn’t even make decent wages. It was a pool house for everyone including runners and bussers.
