Because that man BJ is AH , male version. He did have the chance to make AH liable He just ask for an apologies and let her go and he expressed his dislike for JD during that time. That’s the man who made pay any oz for any minor quarantine breaching but let AH go for a big one. Now he wants to involved JD because his trial just finished and JD is very much in the heart and mind of people, he is preparing his circus 🤡. He is the man that broke parliaments regulation ( not to have any personal / intimate, with a Parlament worker) and got away with it. I’m surprise he’s using a moderate language here.

For some Australian context, Barnaby Joyce is a national joke over here. That Amber Heard’s appalling behaviour can make this clown appear reasonable and statesmanlike by comparison is perhaps one of the worst indictments in the sorry saga of her life. It also shows incredible gall for this guy to now bring up Julian Assange, since his own government (which finally lost power a few months ago) did absolutely nothing to assist Assange for almost a decade, even though he was an Australian citizen subject to extremely flimsy charges by a foreign ally.

I agree talking about Assange is eye rolling, but I guess it was an example of the process.
I really couldn't care less about Barnaby, the thing that was interesting was that it seems things are pretty much settled over here, the ball is in America's hands and they are doing their own investigations, as they should to protect one of their own citizens. First, he is now in opposition, though he's talking as though he's still Deputy PM. He is no longer privy to the legal manoeuvrings of the Dept of Agriculture, Immigration officials or the Federal Police.
Second, he is embarrassingly misrepresenting our laws. FBI and extradition? Srsly? No. Amber would be given the opportunity to defend the allegations before a Federal judge, but assuming the evidence would be presented to the court in absentia, the likely outcome would be a substantial fine (which would go unpaid, of course , unless she pledged it...) and an order banning AH from entering the country, be it a time-limited or indefinite ban. I doubt that they would pursue perjury charges, because trying them in absentia is meaningless, and the idea of extraditing Amber Heard for a perjury allegation involving dog smuggling is not something most Australians would feel is in the public interest. The time, money, resources... these things are not just expensive, but finite.

We have witness testimony that states that Johnny didn't know until they were already there that they were even coming, as he was there already filming, when Amber showed up to 'visit' with the dogs. Her assistant was forced to lie & take the blame for the doggie incident. once it was shown HOW MUCH she lies in the defamation case said ex-assistant came forward & confessed to lying for her and said they have always felt shame for lying & they want to be absolved of guilt & want the truth to come out about what really happened.
AH was completely aware of the quarantine/rules & ignored them, then lied about how it was paperwork her "assistant" hadn't completed or took care of properly. AH then threatened the assistant with termination as well as blacklisting threats

Australia news said this in 2015
Ms Heard brought the dogs, Pistol and Boo, to Queensland in a private jet in May 2015 to visit Mr Depp, who was filming Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales.

She needs to be held accountable and serve jail time. She is never going to learn anything being allowed to keep getting off flouting the laws and courts in front of the whole world. A example should be made to show that it’s not acceptable and you will be punished.

OMG this guy is irritating! He keeps blaming Johnny for what Heard did, and he keeps claiming that before his own government files charges, Heard has to be extradited first...this is ridiculous.

I think Australian bio security laws are very important. AH should be extradited and face her day in an Australian court. But has the Australian government filed an application for extradition? That isn’t the FBI’s responsibility. It’s the Australian government’s. So I think he’s deflecting a bit. And let’s not bring Julian Assange into this.

It is the FBI job. Aussie police just can't come over to the USA and arrest someone.
