- We do hope you enjoy this leg of our trip. While in Georgia, we just had to check out the awesome little town of Helen. It was a little off season when we was there, but it was still neat to see. We found the free parking and will tell you where you can find it if you intend to visit. We make our way up to Ruby Falls. Which is absolutely amazing. There is a fee. But it was worth it. We will tell you about the climb to the falls, though. It's a bit strenuous. We stop at a winery just long enough for me to do a tasting. When I learned the Cabbage Patch Doll hospital was very close by, I just had to visit there. And it's FREE to visit! Though we do pick up a little gift for our grand baby. Helen seems like a cute litle town for tourist area. Ruby Falls looks like a tough walk, but totally worth it for the view!

That is a cool little town. Definitely tourist trappy! Cool architecture and decor on the buildings. Free wine tasting when they are open, if they are open. So, did you put a lock on the love tree? LOL Nice hike. I'm surprised you paid to hike! Beautiful trail and falls. More stairs! You are getting good at those lately. LOL. I remember those Cabbage Patch dolls. They used to be super popular with the kids back in the day. Hopefully you got one for Jessie. More Indian mounds. Hope they had some sweet benches for a view to check out too. Haha. The gorge and the falls were pretty awesome. Cool trip. Have a great day.
It was a great part of our trip. I love exploring and area and then being able to go back to camp and relax.

The village/shopping area was so cute ! Like the walk along the falls, so pretty :) But seems to be quite the hike up ! The Falls are amazing and so beautiful 🌊The cabbage patch place was so nice for the cabbage patch collectors. They sure went all out there 👶🍼🚼 They bring back some fine memories ! Hoping your next campsite is as nice as that one was !!

We love, Love, LOVE Helen Georgia. Don't go on a weekend in September, they start their Oktoberfest early and it's a madhouse. Village Crepe house, LOL, that was funny Jessie. I know Helen is a tourist trap, but we love that area so much we would love to buy land near there and be able to spend more time there. Of course all the trails and waterfalls in the area add to why we love it. Anna Ruby Falls looks amazing. I've heard of the Cabbage Patch hospital in Cleveland, and I've seen the video where Jarhead and Ginger went there, but I'm not sure I could do it. seems cute. WOW, okay, I guess I'd do it for the Christmas trees.
Lol I had to do the cpk hospital. I had several of those dolls growing up. Wasn’t nearly as impressed with Helen as I thought I might be. I like Ouray and Silverton Colorado so much more. If we ever win the lottery, I’m getting a second house around there lol
Little of everything in this one. Of course my favorite was the falls and listening to to comments about the climb. Lol 😆

The town reminds me of Fredericksburg, Texas. The trail is beautiful.
Yes. I haven’t been to Fredericksburg Texas but what I have seen or read about it, it’s quite similar.
You need to raise your pups bowls it can cause their stomach to flip which could kill them
I’ve researched the elevated dog bowl thing and it’s not as beneficial as many would believe them to be. We’ve had many boxers over the years and never had issues with them eating without a raised bowl.
I'd have nightmares after walking by the cabbages with heads.

Lovely place, I wish more stuck to their guns with the big corporates. I am with you on the parking but do feel for the starving pigeons LOL. Those falls were awesome. Not so keen on the dolls LOL.

Very cute little town. The waterfall was really beautiful, but I gotta say my favorite part of the video was the doll hospital. That little cabbage patch doll you got for your granddaughter is so cute.

Me too. I still had mine as an adult. There was an incident and they ended up in a trash dumpster. I try not to think about it cuz it still sort of upsets me to this day.
You're probably long gone but at Helton Creek falls you can take a dip in the plunge pool, and it's free. Amicalola falls is only $5 per vehicle.
Oh yes. We are out of the area. This was all filmed back in April. Good to know, though. If we are ever in the area again, we’ll have to make it a point to hit those.
