Muthukumar.Muthiah Buddy Kicking Aprilia Sr 150 is not an easy task. If the Ntorq rider is of very less weight when compared the Sr 150 rider he can win. If the riders are of equal weight, then Ntorq may get kicked by Sr 150. In this video we saw Sr 150 winning 6 out of 9 races so things won't always be easy.
Man.., you guys did it. Best update on weekend. But that safety comment was right. Take time to find sweet spots to enjoy riding without putting yourself and others in such situation. You don't know even front person could come faster then you, Although 90-100 are not very fast now a days, but mistakes may happen from either side. Avoid such consequences and have good time >>>>

I think there is a hidden problem in this video... Both riders have different speed execution power in their right hands. Bcz, Aprilia SR 150 comes with 154.8cc engine with its 122 kg of weight.. but, TVS Ntorq 125 comes with 124.79cc engine with 116 kg of weight.... So, there is a bulky difference in their weights... Then in case of power SR 150 has 10.25 bhp of power and Ntorq 125 has 9.10 bhp of power... There also Aprilia done a margin... I have rided both scooters i also attained boths top motion speed... There also Aprilia leads... Bcz i have achieved 120+km/hr speed in SR 150 scooter.. it easily gaining its speed 0-110... In TVS Ntorq 125 i achieved the speed of 105-106km/hr.. is takes time after 100 km/hr speed in Ntorq 125... So this video is executionally a false resulting... I have a doubt to racers in this video...Can TVS Ntorq 125 beat Yamaha FZ or Suzuki Gixxer... No way.. isn't it.... But we have beaten FZ as well as Gixxer and another bike called GS150R with SR 150 scooter... So don't inject false proving videos to the people... All youngsters know that Aprilia SR 150's top speed is 120+... In this video it's not at the best.... So dont prove like this... Be in a long road... Take time for both vehicle's top speed gaining... The top speed of the the SR150 is NOT 120 KM/hr. Don't believe the speedometer. The actual speed doesn't go beyond 105 in good conditions. You can try with GPS which is more accurate nowadays. Even the Ntorq has a speedo error (but not as much as the Aprilia). As for my Aprilia in this video, I have mentioned in another video that it was not touching the 120 kmph mark on the speedo after the sixth service. So, the SR in this video is not at its full potential. But rider weights are crucial when you are riding small capacity engines. Whatever advantage the SR150 had with its slightly larger wheels and power output was lost with its own higher weight and the extra 27, 30 kgs of rider weight.
But dude.. i have beaten Yamaha FZ of my friend in a lical drag race... And GS150R bike also... Is that a crucial thing... Never... Drivability of a rider can prove the victory... Like the cases that I've told about FZ and GS150R
Just do one thing, install a speedometer app on your phone, ride the SR150 on an open stretch of road and come back with the top speed results as indicated by the GPS. 😀

Buddy after your Video, I myself spent my whole weekend racing Tvs Ntorq.. And not even a single time he was ahead of me.. Even from 0-60 Aprilia was way ahead.. Aka Star buddy weight plays amajor role in winning the race. Race edition top speed is not even 100 kmph So even with some upgrades you can touch 101 or 102 kmph only and that doesn't make any difference.

Because the power outputs are near identical. Ntorq - 9.2 bhp, 10.5 Nm torque | Aprilia SR 150 - 10.06 bhp, 10.9 Nm torque. Plus the Ntorq is 6 kgs lighter.

NTorq would kick Grazia's arse. Power figures are really different. Both are of same engine cubic capacity but have different tech. NTorq has more valves allowing more output.

I have found couple of videos in RUclips on SR 150 with GPS speed. SR maximum speed was 103km in gps but in the Speedo it was more than 120. Speedo error is there.
You might have noticed, I did not say anything in the video. Wanted it to be a pure drag race video instead of several others where I see a 30-second intro followed by a 30-second glam shot followed by a 15-second drag race. 😅
That does not seem to be the issue. If you do proper maintenance the sr can beat the ntorq.Rider's weight(be it 45kg or 85 kg) won't matter. The sr don't give good performance and mileage if you don't do proper maintenance. Frequent engine oil change needs to be done on your sr to get peak performance and mileage.
Still i hve doubt on aprilla SR, bcoz most imp thing is the rider of NTORQ 125 didn't showed the speedo metere while the sr was moving forward to NTORQ in many rounds. if really the SR is too good in speed better than NTORQ then how could in round 5 & 8 the winner was NTORQ ??????

@@gearless1840 Yes right, True. In initial acceleration the power to weight ratio does matter but at higher speeds (let's say >90kmph, since these are scooters😛) it is the horsepower that comes into play😄 Wheel size would also play a tiny role, yes🙂

great video...but i would like to remind to all those who think tvs ntorque is better than aprilia sr150 that aprilia have more bhp and best in class acceleration. there's no way a 125cc scooter can beat a 150cc scooter. Use your logic😂...besides, u should consider the huge difference of weight in both the drivers! Conclusion: Both scooters are great and unique in their own ways! TVS Ntorque are for commuters and aprilia on the other hand are for enthusiasts!

ROAD BROS I am also planning another drag race on better roads. My SR was not in perfect condition for this race. I found later that my clutch rollers were not upto the mark, the tyre had low pressure and even the engine was not at full potential.
Thanks buddy. You are the one who accepted the fact. I've been repeatedly telling in every video about Sr 150 about its real top speed (102 kmph). But no one was ready to accept the fact. They just felt happy seeing the speedo showing 120 kmph !! Evena Gixxer 150cc bike struggles after 110 but with just 10 bhp power this scooter touches 110 or 120 kmph :) What a joke 😂 And one more joke the so called "race"edition has less top speed than the standard edition 😂😂😂 Its top speed is 99 kmph only 😂😂
BTW, I haven't checked yet but the power output on both the Race and the standard variant are the same. The only difference is in the gearing. I have heard that the Race version is tuned for better acceleration and for the same reason, it loses out on the top end to the standard version.
Are you guys grown up!!?? TVS Ntorq is 125 CC whereas, Aprilia SR has a 150 CC engine! That's partiality af! So, the SR is on the top anyway. A man can answer it blind folded! Not an honest video at all, totally biased!! Also, you guys are racing on a regular and busy road (we can observe that) that too without the riding/racing gears except the helmet! I personally sometimes watch videos of this very channel. But I am totally disappointed this time!
Let me answer you one by one 1. Are you guys grown up? Yes. I will be 35 this year. :) 2. Engine capacity. Is it fair to compare a 125cc to a 150? No! That is what it seems at first glance. But take a closer look at the power figures. TVS Ntorq makes 9.2 BHP and 10.5 Nm of torque with its 125cc engine. The SR150 makes 10.06 bhp and 10.9 Nm of torque with its 154cc engine The difference is less than 1 bhp. The only other 125cc scooter that can compare to the Ntorq is the Vespa 125cc scooters. All the other 125cc scooters make less than 9 bhp. Would it be fair then to compare the Ntorq to other 125ccs? You be the judge. Also, the reason I wanted to do this was to find out if the Ntroq would be able to give the SR150 a run for its money and in my second video I can be clearly heard saying that it did. The Ntorq is an excellent scooter EVEN if it "lost" the drag race to the Aprilia. The fact that it was able to keep up and even beat the SR is a testament to its excellence. How am I biased then? As for the road. This video was captured in the town of Palghar - located around 90 kms from Mumbai. This is the ONLY stretch of road we could do this sort of a video in a 40 km radius. This is the emptiest stretch we could find after looking around for more than an hour. The Ntorq was a friends vehicle that we had borrowed for a day. At the end we had two options either drop the idea and not do this video at all or manage with what we had. We chose the latter. Yes. I do concur we should have more riding gears on. To me TVS is the clear winner but I love the cornering ability, engine sound, acceleration in my Aprilia. Aprilia is fun to ride.

I have found couple of videos in RUclips on SR 150 with GPS speed. SR maximum speed was 103km in gps but in the Speedo it was more than 120. Speedo error is there.

That does not seem to be the issue.
If you do proper maintenance the sr can beat the ntorq.Rider's weight(be it 45kg or 85 kg) won't matter.
The sr don't give good performance and mileage if you don't do proper maintenance.
Frequent engine oil change needs to be done on your sr to get peak performance and mileage.

Still i hve doubt on aprilla SR, bcoz most imp thing is the rider of NTORQ 125 didn't showed the speedo metere while the sr was moving forward to NTORQ in many rounds. if really the SR is too good in speed better than NTORQ then how could in round 5 & 8 the winner was NTORQ ??????

@@gearless1840 Yes right, True. In initial acceleration the power to weight ratio does matter but at higher speeds (let's say >90kmph, since these are scooters😛) it is the horsepower that comes into play😄
Wheel size would also play a tiny role, yes🙂
@@gearless1840 even when we consider power to weight ratio, The Ntorq will produce 8.1bhp per 100kg and The SR will produce 8.5bhp per 100kg. Still quite a power margin 🤔

great video...but i would like to remind to all those who think tvs ntorque is better than aprilia sr150 that aprilia have more bhp and best in class acceleration. there's no way a 125cc scooter can beat a 150cc scooter. Use your logic😂...besides, u should consider the huge difference of weight in both the drivers!
Conclusion: Both scooters are great and unique in their own ways! TVS Ntorque are for commuters and aprilia on the other hand are for enthusiasts!

ROAD BROS I am also planning another drag race on better roads. My SR was not in perfect condition for this race. I found later that my clutch rollers were not upto the mark, the tyre had low pressure and even the engine was not at full potential.

BTW, I haven't checked yet but the power output on both the Race and the standard variant are the same. The only difference is in the gearing. I have heard that the Race version is tuned for better acceleration and for the same reason, it loses out on the top end to the standard version.
It could also have slight speedo error. TVS only claims 95 km/hr. Almost all vehicles have some speedo error.

Let me answer you one by one

2. Engine capacity. Is it fair to compare a 125cc to a 150?
No!
That is what it seems at first glance. But take a closer look at the power figures.
TVS Ntorq makes 9.2 BHP and 10.5 Nm of torque with its 125cc engine.
The SR150 makes 10.06 bhp and 10.9 Nm of torque with its 154cc engine
The difference is less than 1 bhp.
The only other 125cc scooter that can compare to the Ntorq is the Vespa 125cc scooters.
All the other 125cc scooters make less than 9 bhp.
Would it be fair then to compare the Ntorq to other 125ccs? You be the judge.
Also, the reason I wanted to do this was to find out if the Ntroq would be able to give the SR150 a run for its money and in my second video I can be clearly heard saying that it did. The Ntorq is an excellent scooter EVEN if it "lost" the drag race to the Aprilia. The fact that it was able to keep up and even beat the SR is a testament to its excellence.
How am I biased then?
As for the road.
This video was captured in the town of Palghar - located around 90 kms from Mumbai. This is the ONLY stretch of road we could do this sort of a video in a 40 km radius. This is the emptiest stretch we could find after looking around for more than an hour. The Ntorq was a friends vehicle that we had borrowed for a day. At the end we had two options either drop the idea and not do this video at all or manage with what we had. We chose the latter.
