Thanks for watching. Most likely yes, however for fleet applications, which there are many including big car rental companies, the Blazer and even more the Equinox, are very popular. So the lower trims may end up selling more due to these markets. Will have to see.
Thanks for watching. I believe SC is standard on the RS, but not a lot of details were given. I flash up a chart with the models and trims, so not sure if it is on that. For sure basic ACC will be on all.
Thanks for watching. Oh probably not till next year since they won't be starting production until mid 23. Hopefully we may see some press vehicles or drive events in Q2 of 23.
Great, informative coverage! Thank you! Do you remember if the interior door panels in the rear have soft touch materials at the top instead of the scratchy, hard plastic--especially on the RS model? I'm really hoping that GM steps it up for passengers this time at this price point since this car is supposed to be made for family hauling. Small details like that go a long way in showing that they are serious about getting away from their prior reputation and would be a step up from what VW and Audi are doing in the competing Q4 and ID.4.
Thanks for watching and for the comment/question. I don't 100% remember but I believe it was soft touch. However, the vehicles shown were pre-production models so things can change into final production. I would suspect that for the price point, GM would provide some nice materials and finishes as it did look good. The Blazer is a mid-sized SUV for GM. Not the cheapest and not the most expensive. So I would think the materials would be better than an entry-level model. Hope this helps.
@@EVRevolution it does, thank you. I guess we'll have to wait until spring of next year when dealerships start taking deliveries to be sure. We have a brand new Bolt EUV now and love that vehicle. We're hoping to add the Blazer as our long-distance, road trip family car. If it works out, we will get the RS model to replace our Tesla Model 3 which is our current primary vehicle.
Thank you for take more clip about the RS trim(the one you seat on), most EV user will want rwd with longer range. Please help to take more lower trim for these kind of event. I search all over internet, all the media only has the SS which is stupid.
Thanks for watching. The PR Team sent us the B-roll and images and it is mainly of the top-spec SS. That is usually the case where OEMs will showcase their best model first. Give it time, more info will come on the other trims. After all, it is a year away minimum.
Thanks for watching. They are trying hard and I'm happy to read you are considering this, or any BEV as that is my goal. Does not have to be GM it can be anyone, as long as it is electric and it can work for you.
How much is the super cruise option? Chevy really seems to have really covered all the bases with the Blazer EV. When I get back from vacation I think I'll reserve one.
GM, lately, is more about reveals and press releases than production of affordable BEVs. It is just hard to take GM seriously when it makes 25,000 Bolts a year but says 1 million BEVs/yr are coming in 2025.
Thanks for watching Barry. While I can understand some skepticism, announcements come first before actual production of vehicles from ALL OEMs. Look at Tesla, announced the Model 3 in March 2016 and FCD not until July 2017. Takes time. I truly believe GM will hit this target they set, or at least come very close. They have and are putting all the pieces in place to achieve this.
@@EVRevolution it would be great if you could get a tour of GM’s battery factory so we can see how it is getting ready to make 1 million battery packs per year, which works out to an average rate of 2 packs per minute. I would be able to believe a lot more if today GM is able to churn out at least one tenth that amount, say a pack every 5 minutes. Otherwise, it is really hard to have faith in press releases.
@@barryw9473 GM is building four battery factories in the US over the next few years with the first starting production in a few weeks. Once that happens they can ramp up production more quickly. The other three start production every subsequent year through 2025.
Thanks for watching! Yes the Blazer is a mid-sized SUV, so the pricing is accordingly. Watch out for the Equinox EV reveal coming this fall, as GM is targeting a lower price point. I am guessing in the $39,995 CAD Base MSRP range, to $44,995. I've got zero intel on this, just my own opinion. We will see. Regardless, can't just look at upfront cost. The fuel savings would be about $3-$4K per year over ICEV. That adds up really fast.
The legacy auto manufacturers in the US are years behind Tesla, Nio, BYD, Hyundai, and others. The Nio ES6 is a more modern design with better specs. GM kept bragging about building American, saving American jobs, and being an EV made in America. Then they move their Blazer production to Mexico. Myself, I like the BYD Han and Seal or the Nio ET5 and ET7. If GM won't build in America, I have no qualms about not buying from GM.
Thank for watching. Whether it is GM or another OEM that can work for a consumer, I really don't care which. I am about educating and creating awareness for consumers on the EV market and it's my desire to show all the options, or at least as many as I can. Whether it is Nio, BYD or Tesla, as long as it is an Electric (preferably all-electric pure ZEV), I am happy.
Dear followers!! Don't let the beautiful pictures confuse you . Anyone who buys a new car from GENERAL Motors the chance you threw your money into the trash is very large. Hello and thanks for watching. I allowed this post since I am one for free speech and you kept it civil and without profanity. However, I do disagree with you as I have owned previous GM products (and Ford, Toyota, Kia, Chrysler, Triumph, VW, Nissan & Datsun, just to name some). All OEMs can provide bad experiences via their dealers and that is a fact. In general, my experience has been very positive with GM so I would only ask people reading your post to understand that this is one persons opinion, as is mine as well.
@@EVRevolution Dear Sir, what I wrote is not a personal opinion, these are facts that I went through because I did something stupid and bought a truck from GM. Want to know something funny? Everything is recorded on the company computer. Do you think this is important to someone in the company? So you should know that no one in the company cares about the customers or my posts. Another thing I will tell you and the followers, I bought a new truck from Mercedes and as a customer I receive the treatment of a king, GM has a lot to learn from Mercedes both in mechanical engineering and in customer service.
That's the nature of the event and B roll provided by GM, Ronald. Hopefully Ken will have a chance to drive an early production version soon and provide his impressions.
I hate GM ( junk for decades, bankrupt company etc.), but they have a huge home run here folks. Let’s hope the quality holds up. ✅
Thanks for watching and for sure, I too think this is a great segment for them to electrify and we will see how they do.
Glad to see the RS images and videos. RS and 2LT are mostly going to be volume seller
