My mom and MIL gave us an Easter basket until we had a baby, then they started giving our daughter an Easter basket. Even when we were married. They just did a joint one.
I love doing easter baskets. The Easter when my daughter was 18, I asked her if she wanted me to continue making baskets for her, or if she was too old for that, she told me she will never be too old to get gifts. She is 30, and I am gathering things for her basket. I always put books in her basket, she still likes to hold an actual book over reading it on a screen. I have make up, sponges, hair care...I will put a couple little cute things in it, last year I found a little porcin rabbit. I have a gift card from Starbucks and iTunes. I still buy CD's. I will buy the CD's from artists I really like, because they make more money from CD sales than music being downloaded or streamed. I use Apple Music, and I have playlists from music I have already and some from artist that I only like a couple songs, but I do like to support those who's job it is to entertain. My daughter and I still watch Disney movies, and both loved Encanto. My daughter has put it on her iTunes. I have never thought Disney is just for kids. There are many life lessons that are in the movies for adults, and the movies with music is animated musicals. My daughter and I just went on the first road trip together since the pandemic began and she made a playlist of Disney songs. It was nice to sing along to Elton John and Idina Menzel (she also has a musical playlist with Idina songs from RENT and Wicked.) While I do nto have grandchildren, I have passed on the love of basket making to my daughter who makes baskets for her 2 godchildren, which everything from clothes to healthy snacks, and I make a basket for my niece's little boy. Really enjoyed your video.
I was waiting for this video to give me ideas! I changed the way I do my girls Easter baskets after watching some of yours. Now I no longer buy cheap junk but make it more like a summer bash basket like sunglasses, sunscreen, kites, flip flops, new bathing suit etc and it's so much fun. It costs more but it's useful stuff!
I got Easter baskets from my parents until I got I had a baby…. After I got married my parents would get me thing we need for the home and some treats.
You always find very useful, practical, & fun gifts! Love the window box as a "basket". My kids are obsessed with Encanto too. I'm glad to see CD's are still available. :-)
Your gift guides are definitely among my absolute favourite!! Have saved pretty much every one you have ever done for wonderful ideas for my daughter who his currently 6
Love it. Love all of your holiday & birthday videos. I’ll also continue to get my kids a basket for many years after they’re an adult 🤷♀️ thanks for sharing ☺️
My daughter who is also 12 is getting into makeup so I got her some eye shadow little kits and then found a big set at Walmart on clearance for $1.49! She also like to bake and make pancakes I found one of those little griddles by the same brand that make those little pancake and waffle irons fro $2.50 at Walmart thought she might find that fun. Found a carnation fudge kit for 38cents!! She also like kinder joy got her 2 of those some Easter Rice Krispie treats and a sponge Bob plastic egg that has crabby Pattie’s in it. I also found a gem dig it kit for $10 just for fun!
My son (and his girlfriend) are 21 yo and i do a little mini basket for each of them. Not only that but when they started dating 4 years ago, Amber mentioned thag shd loved Easter Egg hunts.. and i loved dojng them when the kids were younger.. so i offered go do one and they loved it! I had to laugh tho.. im sure my neighbors were wondering why my teens were wondering around my yard with plastic bags. - i live on the corner so my whole yard is visible and we have neighbors whose yards back up to ours too. Lol... but they want me to do one again this year. I put things like diamond paintings, pop sockets, jewelry, cute pens, card games, puzzles, etc in baskets. Eggs are tougher. Ambers eggs are easy.. i can put mini brands, dorables, earrings, rings, etc etc.. but for Scott? Guys are so hard! I got a few Harry Potter lego figures, some candy, and now i am stuck..
I’m with you on still buying CDs! My parents just sent me a CD player in the mail because they had bought me some discs to listen to for Christmas, but I had no way to listen to them. I’m a teacher, so I thought it’d be fun to take the CD player to school and see if my kids had ever seen one in person. Most of them hadn’t but had heard of them. One said, “I’ve seen one at my grandma’s house before!” Most don’t have phones yet, so I explained how a CD player could be a great alternative to be able to listen to music without having internet access or a screen. They were amazed! Lol Your girls’ Easter baskets look great! Always love seeing your gift idea videos/parenting videos. ☺️
Isn't that funny!? I like some of the conveniences of technology but it never hurts to keep the old "relics" too! lol We even have a VCR...just in case! :)
I love your Easter basket videos the most! Do u have a Learning Express store near you? They have soo many squishmallows of all different sizes and even disney ones.
We still buy Blu-Ray and CDs for things we're into. The internet has failed us too many times to not just tangibly own what we like. Plus, we have some friends who've had digital copies of things, but then the license runs out and they no longer have access to it....With that said, we also own the Encanto CD and it plays on a regular basis in our house. That's my favorite thing, although I think you picked some really awesome things for your girls.
Hi! Your video popped up in my recommended this morning. I am a viewer who is blind and uses technology to use the Internet so thank you for actually describing your items. I love squish mellows. I agree you can like them at any age. I am in my 30s and one of my best friends is in her 20s and we love them. I am a wicked music junkie and it made my heart so happy to know that you still like in by CDs. I use digital services like Spotify and iTunes but I still buy and listen to CDs as well. I have thousands of CDs! I read that when you listen to music digitally and you purchase it, you’re only purchasing the rights and you don’t actually own the music, but when you use CDs, you actually own the music you’re purchasing. And I’m with you. When the Internet doesn’t work, you can’t listen to anything so CDs for the win! Have a great day.
When you have more space I would fold the robe length wise and put on bottom of basket THEN cover w/ pink grass and then arrange other gifts like you had them ! Robe is way too bulky and will look odd next to other basket ! Happy Easter !
To me, you can never be too old to receive an Easter basket. Starting with my husband's birthday, it will be a bit more challenging for my parents and my husband's parents to kind of get us parents as we are going to be moving out of state next month.
Oh my goodness I had to pause the video to comment. Both of my girls never dry their hair as well! I also had special hair towels for both of them that I also got rid of because they never used them. They just come out of the shower with dripping hair. Lol
Our internet was out for 4 days once, we would have been lost without DVDs and CDs. I haven't really bought any new CDs in years because I don't really listen to music much anymore, but I do get new DVDs yearly.
I always wondered where are your girls when you film so they don’t hear you? Also don’t know if you know or saw, there’s a price tag on the Gudetama face make for your older daughter. Have a great day!
That day they weren't home but usually I film in my room and they're far enough away in the house that they can't hear me. Yes, I took the price tag off of that. :)
I'm sorry, I have added those clips to my "Home Products I Love" in my Amazon store here: www.amazon.com/shop/aplacetonest The window boxes are just basic ones I found at Meijer and you can find similiar ones at places like Walmart, Lowes, Home Depot, etc.
Just to clarify if she has a dairy allergy and it’s a true allergy then she can’t have dairy unless she did oral immunotherapy. Maybe she has an intolerance I don’t know but please be aware people who are allergic to food cannot have it or they will die. The only treatment out there is oral immunotherapy. There are a lot of misconceptions and as someone who has a child with a food allergy it’s important that we don’t put miss information out there. It confuses people who don’t know really what food allergies are. Thanks
Based on what I've been told by her allergist and from what I've read, there are different severity levels of allergies. For some people a certain allergy can kill them but in others, it causes more minor symptoms.
My children are 22 & 33 years old and I STILL do Easter baskets for the both of them 😂😂😂! I tried to stop when they turned 18 years old, but they ask for them every year. I have 2 children and NO grandchildren! My daughter is still young, but my son doesn't want any and my daughter says she doesn't want any either, BUMMER! But my husband and I LOVE spoiling them!
I’m 19 and I would cry if my mom stopped making me Easter baskets or stopped making me a Christmas stocking I LOVE it but my love language is gift giving so lol
If you don't want to stop giving Easter then don't. There are a lot of people who always do Easter baskets, and those who stop when they get older. Everyone is different. My kids are very different from each other. My one daughter (youngest) is very girly girl, sophisticated, and mature. My other daughter (oldest) is very rough & tumble, big kid, and a tomboy. I get them both Easter baskets every year. We give each kid a few candy items, but most I buy for us all to share like Peeps, jellybeans, Reese's eggs, etc.
Why is everyone buying gift like it is Christmas! My parents always went traditional little bit of candy in a basket and a great family dinner after dinner a big yard easter egg hunt!!! Coloring eggs! Visiting the bunny at the egg hunt Saturday! That's it . No decorations no shopping all the time!!! You tube people shop way to much and have no real jobs! Even our men don't want to work it is ridiculous! Just saying I'm staying traditional easter this year basket chocolate bunny and dinner and egg hunt!!! Saving$ my money I hard earn! At a real job! Like doctors nurses and every day target and essential workers without them you tube would not fly!!!
I think it's really fun putting together Easter baskets, don't you? What's your favorite thing to put in an Easter basket?
I always enjoys these video Becky
Sorry it’s been a while since we have chatted hope you’re doing good 👍🏼

Love Kayla 🎤
The yoga blocks actually worked perfectly in the basket making it symmetrical and pretty!!! Both baskets are great the girls will love them.

Very sweet!

I loved the cozy robe and the pollinators house and the pastels book 👏🏻
I think the bee house is really neat! I hope we have some visitors this spring and summer! :)
Love how in-tune you’re with your kids .
I got Easter baskets from my parents until I got I had a baby…. After I got married my parents would get me thing we need for the home and some treats.
I always turn to your channel every time I want to give a thoughtful gift.
That’s sweet of you to say, thank you!
My daughter is 25, and I still give her an Easter basket 🤩

You always find very useful, practical, & fun gifts! Love the window box as a "basket". My kids are obsessed with Encanto too. I'm glad to see CD's are still available. :-)

Also, dashing diva nails are my fav!
Love it. Love all of your holiday & birthday videos. I’ll also continue to get my kids a basket for many years after they’re an adult 🤷♀️ thanks for sharing ☺️
Your kids aren’t looking for award winning packaging. I LOVE how the “baskets” look. It looks perfect. I love that writing to adult self idea.
I think it’s really neat and something fun for her to look back on.
I still have & use both CD’s & DVD’s.
Me, too! I can’t imagine only having digital options and no hard copies! Lol
Me too
My kids are 41 39 and almost 37 still make baskets! Grandkids are 7 and 14 those flower boxes are adorable! Thanks for sharing!!!

That corgi hair turban says 2 pack, you’re missing one I believe! Great baskets!!
By the time I noticed that, it was too late to take it back. :(
Hey…I am 34…my brother and I still get Easter baskets from my parents. Along with our kids.
I love that!
Thanks the Letters to series. I just added that to my Amazon wish list.

Sorry if I’m missing it but can you link the siding clips? The ones I have are horrible and I would love to know if they work!
I'm sorry, I've linked them in my Amazon store under "Home Products I Love" here: www.amazon.com/shop/aplacetonest

What if instead of the grass stuff you use the robe sort of like a lining for the box.
That's a great idea!

Thanks for sharing I have 14-11 ur old I want to make my boys a basket 🧺
I think the basket 🧺 look sooooo good 👍🏾😊
I got gifts until I got married, from mom and dad anyway. Then since I was married I was on my own :)
I love that!
Hi Becky my name is Ida how are you doing this is my first time watching your channel
Wow
My husband works at KISS !

My mom gave us Easter baskets till we moved out of her house.
Use the robe underneath the other items and drape part of it.
I still love Cds.
Does your younger daughter also like k pop music?
Yes, she does.
Cool
I think the 18 year old rule only applies to other peoples’ kids 🤣
I have one turning 18 this fall. I can’t imagine not giving her gifts, nor could she.
That’s what I thought! Lol
the yoga blocks look like bunny ears
🙂
💖
where’s the CANDY?
I hated encanto too!! I didnt like any of the songs either. What is the hype lol. I love most Disney movies so I was pretty disappointed
I’ll let my children out of the basement un-padlock them for this special day at least give them that once a year
LMFAO

Hi Becky- I’m watching this after Easter to get caught up on videos…did you see the hidden Mickey in the Pollinator House???
🤍🐭🤍
haha I didn't notice that!
