Rein is playable yes, when your teammates cooperate. The moment you were focused, your teammates responded. On metal ranks, they watch you get melted and flame you.
Yeah rein shouldn't be played in metal, takes teamwork and coordination, that's the biggest issue with him tbh, people are like aww wdym he's playable if your team plays this this and this and does this this and this, yet there's how many other tanks where you can just play and don't need a pick set specifically to keep you alive or even be able to catch up to anyone to hit them, hope they implement his bap wall shield or something to imcentivise people actually playing behind him and backing him up, just something, anything, he's stale and gets rolled by basically anything
@@PezzaHando i genuinely hate how many people play rein in metal ranks. He’s only good for ult combos that hardly happen.

Question is, is it fun to get hacked by Sombra, Discorded by Zen, pummeled hard by Sojourn just so she can run away from you, your shield ripped off by Mauga
... Honestly? Yes. Especially more so when you have an amazing team of supports that keep you alive, and dps that peel the enemy, that they have to go Mauga, Sombra and Bast, and still lose, or at the very least, give them a harder time to defeat you. Even losing, those defeats taste like sweetrolls

Tank will always either feel bad or be too overpowered, I flexed for like 9 games and got tank every time
Balance is an illusion. Asymmetrical game. I think they need to lean into the asymmetry with a Pick-hero-pool(2/3) and one ban for the opposite team.
@@josephreynolds2401 6v6 with hero bans and double shield balance is still in my opinion the best version of ow possible
@@coldshock5181 That's fair AND i agree. 6v6 isn't coming back soon tho so I suggest buckling up. The hero pool would solve the issue of counterswapping if you could only play 2 hero's per match. And a draft phase inherently engages people with the game before the match starts instead of a short wait in the spawn room. No more last minute pickers ruining a carefully constructed comp, giving up space for the first fight for no reason.

@@josephreynolds2401 Idk OW has been making radical changes so I think if this tank update doesn't work at least looking at 6v6 should be something they are doing. The switch to 5v5 was in my opinion a change to make Ow2 different than Ow1, unnecessary.

Watching this directly after having a GLORIOUS victory as Reinhardt. To be fair, it was a Rein dual. No doubt if I went up against hog or mauga I would’ve gotten smoked. But I shall live in denial and continue searching for GLORY.

Oh did you not know? Hold down your firing key or trigger on controller and you can turn your camera with your shield locked in place.

He's always been playable, he just can't hardly play aggressively against a coordinated or intelligent enemy. Something they could do is give him a passive where after he Charges, for a few seconds he has an afterburn affect that gives him a small boost to movement speed, cause literally they biggest problem with him is his severe lack of mobility and the fact most characters can literally outpace him walking backward, and his Charge is about as readable as a leapfrog book.

We Tanks just aren't allowed to have fun. I swear even in quick play every game devolves into the other team going some combination of Orisa, Bastion, Reaper, Mauga, Zen, Ana, Sombra, or Mei. I cannot wait for the mid-season patch.

I don’t play tank nor Rein, but would it be too op if he were to keep his MirrorWatch frenzy passive?
I honestly think that they should make the speed buff when you lose the shield in mirrorwatch an actual passive for Reinhardt, it would make him so much more playable
Edit: they should also make it so that it adds a bit of over health so you're not getting instantly melted when your shield breaks
A good Rein player will not allow some1 to break his shield. 1hp shield minimum is required in any case szenario. I rather think he should move at 100% movementspeed when holding a shield. Yes thats a huge buff and abolutly needed as well.

Love the rein gameplay from Flats always. What if rein converted his barrier into shields while charging. I think thatd be cool, and give him the ability to chose between shielding off his team and getting in close
I would love to see that change and I'm curious if would be broken
@IsaiahNeal-pg6kh it'd definitely be good, maybe it could cap at a certain amount of shields, but I think it'd be balanced since he's trading barrier health for a safer charge
They just need to remove the slowdown while he shields. IMO that's all he needs, would be a massive buff. It's not needed at all in 5v5 when all the new tanks are 'do everything' tanks.
@Klyttorius That could work too, I think the Shield on conversion on pin would be a Shiney new toy, but I think your idea works too. Ultimately I believe he just needs a way to trade some of his defensive power for offensive power without making it broken, so I thought to make him be able to use his resource (his barrier) as a trade off for better aggression
It's crazy to me even after the big buffs tanks still in a bad spot which says a lot about our suffering the past few seasons

Im pretty new to ow and i recently picked up rein, i didn't really believe people when they said how fun he is but dude playing rein is the most fun ever when you're low rank
Rein should have CC immunity on his charge when he’s boosting (not the windup) so no sleep, boops, etc.
I’d also like to see them nerf his shield by a couple hundred life and allow him to regen 100 shield life for each enemy he hits with a hammer swing.
Would encourage playing rein aggressively.

X tank gets giga buffed/released and takes over
Then gets nerfed
During all that the horse gets buffed and takes over
Then horse gets nerfed
Leaving us in a situation where tank feels completely unplayable
Though i think 5v5 is good and has helped a lot of problems i think it might be time to test 6v6 and see how it feels
When mid season patch drops A LOT of people won't be happy. This game keeps on going down the hill for sure.
I think I had the most fun game of my life playing rein Three days ago where I was basically just Killing a Wido The entire opposing team looked at me I just said hi and they decided not to kill me That's how I spent my game in the end my team also won

Bro, just pick what ya feel works best, crosshairs at the end of the day, are preference based, nothing else. If you like what you’re running now, that’s good, otherwise, just try something else. Some like entire screen crosshairs, others like a single pixel in the middle of their monitor.
@@user-yw5dm4hd8kI agree. It's just a crosshair xd and it depends on the person. For me I use circle and crosshair cause I play on switch and the screen is very small. PC players tend to use the small crosshair cause its more precise in a big screen

No, because while that seems like a good change, it would make it a lot harder to get rid of reins shield which can be miserable to play against, as the rein will just hold up their shield the whole time
