  • Installing window jambs and trim isn't hard but it can be hard to do well. I've learned some tricks along the way to make the process easier and more precise.

    I think trim work is difficult to get right, especially in my case where there is a "dip" in the wall. Those screws are pretty great and would help a lot. Thanks

    I prefer to make the jamb square even if the window is not. Those screws are awesome! How is the kitchen, can't wait to see the finished product!

      I can see the advantages of that view also. The kitchen is next on the list, will be working on the island and range hood next and then countertops.

    typically1/8 reveal, this is called a jamb extension.

      yea that is typical for trim and jamb extensions but this is the actual jamb and typically these window jambs would have an even larger reveal.
