Umn no. differences: Percy has a mom, and dad who are alive, plus a stepdad, and half sister, even though his dad being a god is largely absent Percy has a very healthy relationship with his mom. Percy is incredibly powerful, regularly stated to be the most powerful demigod, and several times freaking others out with his power, while Harry is just slightly above average, no where near the most powerful Percy was never supposed to be born, a product of broken vow and had the gods vote to kill him when he was just 14 Percy is incredibly skilled in swords and combat, he doesn’t need his water powers when just with a sword he can slice through entire armies. Harry is utterly dependent on his wand, no wand no chance in any fight, he can barely use the sword to kill basilisk. Percy is also quite scary and often dark, he has: -Tricked Procrustes into lying on his magic beds, then taunted him with his previous words, decapitated him and made a joke.(It’s epic as shit, and totally good to kill him, but still) at just 12. -Then was fully willing and eager to use Medusa’s head on Gabe, and tried to convince his mom to murder him, at 12.(again, he was a piece of shit, but Harry wouldn’t be like that even to the Durseleys). -He beat the shit out of Polyphemus without realising, and had him down on his back, completely at his mercy at just 13. -He was ready to drown Thalia in a icy funnel of water, something that terrified her, at 14. He summoned the sea in the very middle of the USA, and scared even himself with it, then later blew up MT sST helens and scared even the gods doing it, Hephaestus didn’t joke, he was concerned that a 15 year old demigod did that. -He had Nico by sword point immediately after sensing him in his sleep, and would have choked him if Nico hadn’t begged him to hear him out. -When he bathed in the Styx he actually beat the shit out of Hades’s army and had Hades by sword point, enough for Hades to try and reason with him. -He made a hurricane while battling Hyperion, and freaked out everyone including Grover while doing it, Harry’s best feat of magic is his fully formed Stag Patronus. -He was enjoying the fight so much he laughed madly in sheer joy of bloodlust. -He scared everyone in Camp Jupiter while he used two hands of water to destroy the gorgons, then earlier he had somehow casually strangled a sea serpent with his bare hands. -He took a entire glacier down, and a 300 foot wave was made by him, then bested a giant singlehandedly, using Terminus just to finish him. -He was ready to murder Leo for firing, and scared Leo just with his glare. -He nearly killed Jason when posessed. -He showed how smart he really was in Tartarus, getting Bob to kill his own brother, so much that Annabeth took a step back and realised that all this time she’d thought of him as a idiot when in reality he was very smart, and wondered whether his goofiness was a act. -He was drowning Akhlys with her own poison and tears, enjoying it so much he didn’t want to stop, and scared Annabeth so much I’m fairly sure she realised there was a reason Poseidon was so feared, the sea can be calm one minute but merciless and cruel the next. -He’s steadily become more bitter at the gods, by the time we get to the BOO Percy seems pretty angry at them, and then in TOA he’s extremely against doing anything for the gods, and what’s so tragic is this is exactly what Luke said.See, 12 year old Percy had only experienced it for a few months, and been helped by a god, and done a quest to keep fighting done.But now Percy at 17/18 is a lot more bitter at the gods, enough so he made the gods promise to change their ways, then wondered if the gods were really the ones who should be in charge, then when he meets Apollo in TOA, he’s 100% more bitter and angry, and he’s only two years at most before he’s just as old as Luke was in Lightning Thief.Luke was right, and this is very scary thoughts, because imagine if he rebels against the gods later on. In short, from this, we can see that Percy is nothing like Harry really, one is a very wet blanket for fighting, abilities, and epicness, the other is one who can go from relaxed funny chill guy to god level badass who casually defeats armies of monsters with a sword.
