I'm a 1900 guy who uses it every single time my opponent plays 1... e5. The thing is, the Wayward Queen Attack often puts Black into a theoretical abyss, especially in blitz matches where time is very limited, whereas White has usually studied every continuation. That alone is worth a lot. Even if Black plays correctly, then while it is true that White has no advantage that usually comes with opening the game (in contrast to spanish for example), it also doesn't have a disadvantage. Of course elite players could capitalize on White giving up the advantage, but neither I nor my opponents are elite players. @@ME0WMERE yeah, I’ve had people try this, I didn’t know that it was even this but if you develop normally without pushing the pawn, they take the e5 pawn and blocking with the bishop instead of queen. You just broughr me memories of when I was playing chess in elementary school at recess and whenever my opponent played pony to the rim, I'd capture it with my bishop to make my opponent have doubled pawns since I thought it was advantageous at the time and valued knight and bishop the same at 3 material points as I was told. I'd get so excited whenever I see that opportunity
Knight to F6 maybe become a less probable move since he already saw you coming, if he use pawn to counter queen then its a retreat and you get to clean this mess

@BLettuce ima be honest idk what i was smoking that day but there is no need to move the queen. After Nf6 the queen just doesnt need to move you just defend the e4 pawn and eventually bring your bishop to g5 to attack the knight that cant move.
