Nightmare Before Christmas is *hand animated stop motion*, to the incredible quality of a traditional animation, 76 minutes is a feat and a half. Plus it's a musical
NL when he struggles but squeaks out 100%: I want more challenging quizzes NL when he gets a legitimately challenging quiz: Gives up after not being able to answer 3 questions in a row
to be fair I wouldn't of got this one either... but I would of guessed at least 11 and not 1 lol. I prob would of guessed around 20 or so at most thinking that was kind of high.
that urumi was a practically tame one. there are versions that are about 5-6 feet long and have 4-6 blades. they look WILDLY dangerous. the fighting strategy with one of those was basically spin around a lot and hope someone was dumb enough to get close. there are some videos online of people showing them off, and they're god dang ridiculous.
I really watch most movies no matter their length (I once watched a 7 hour silent film) but I also think that 70-100 minutes is like the perfect length for a film.
I’m pretty sure the actual reasons for not having enough lifeboats on the Titanic was either for aesthetics or because it was expected that if a ship was sinking then other ships would be nearby so the lifeboats would ferry people from the sinking ship to the rescue ship(s)
I laughed at the German title for Six Feet Under, I know that, it's "Gestorben wird immer" and an old saying about how funeral homes never go out of business because "people will always die".
My favourite shitty translation is of Breaking Bad into czech, the show runs under the the name "perníkový táta" which could be translated as "gingerbread daddy"
I can't be the only one that actually feels really smart after watching this run of Sporcle quizzes. Usually when I watch NL take these, I feel a little dumb because at least 90% of the time he knows more about random shit than I do... and I am like how does he know so much? After watching this, I feel somewhat vindicated (that isn't even the right word, see how stupid I am), that I would have smoked his ass on literally every single one of these. Maybe he was just off on this day. Not even just on the raw knowledge alone, but given the buffer of 10 on each question, he often did not play optimally at all when not knowing the exact answer to a question... for instance for the obvious if you don't know, never guess 90, and give yourself as much leeway as possible if you know an answer can't possibly be below or above a certain number. Maybe his mind was just flooded, but I will take it. I was a little shocked though on some of the big whiffs here.
NL estimating 400 life boats on the Titanic is a great example of how Fermi estimation can go horribly wrong. There were only 2 numbers to estimate (you need more for your bad high and low estimations to balance out) and likely doesn't know much about cruise ships from his previous rants about never wanting to take a vacation on one. The Titanic had around 2200 people and the lifeboats could hold 65 each. They'd need close to 40 to fit everyone but only had enough for about half.
Bruh Im mad about the first quizzes. Haciendas are not Mexican, they're 100% Spanish. Who do you think brought them to mexico? Also the fustanella is not Greek 🤦 smh
Not picking Mad Men when he had The crazies as prompt was a power move
I went from surprised, to thinking he was joking, back to shocked when he actually picked it

Oh please Penny, the only way that NL could contribute to the Rumbleverse lobby is if they started letting chimps pog out of their gourd again
