Vase Pour #12: With Leftover Acrylic Paint
HTML-код
- Опубликовано: 24 янв 2025
- For this vase pour we used leftover acrylic paint from a swipe painting Jeanette and I did. Both of us had leftover paint and decided to mix them all together for a pour. This is what happened and it's one of our best vase pours. It just shows that you don't have to be picky when choosing your paint colors. You never know how it will turn out. Paint mixture is 1 part paint 1 part Floetrol and some water. Some paints did get a few drops of silicone oil. Sealed with Envirotex Lite epoxy Resin.

That turned out beautifully, thank you for showing me how you do it.
Absolutely Gorgeous I love the way you did this vase it,s very beautiful..♡
Best one I've seen yet. ..and great music. No blabber.
It's funny because some people say the music is terrible and they would rather have a voiceover. I guess you can't make everyone happy, oh well 😁. Thanks for watching!
Awesome 😍 beautiful colors
I'VE NEVER SEEN ANYTHING LIKE THIS, GREAT❤❤❤😊😊😊
Beautiful. So happy I found you

Hi that's gorgeous!
Love it so much!!!❤️
So beautiful!!! I can't wait to try that!
Pam Clark what did you use to seal it?
What a masterpiece! I truly love 💘 it! Hope that when I try this technique at least, if it doesn't show a little resemblance to yours, I'll be happy with my results. God bless you and thanks for sharing your talent.
The good thing about pouring on a vase is the if you don’t like it, you can stick it in a bucket then peel it off and start over
It’s really pretty..love it 😀
Very gorgeous♥
Nice..i recently threw out so many of those globes I hadn't used in years. I didn't think the acryllic would stick to glass. Nice
I want to try this but I have some questions.
1.Do you thin the paint and if so with what?
2. Do to need to prep the glass?
3. What is the sealant you use?
Absolutely gorgeous! New Aussie subscriber! 😀💜🐨
Beautiful piece of art, love it!!
Thank you
Love it
AWESOME.
I love this vase very much, the colours, wow, i did do also a vase now but i don’t know when i have to turn it ?
I am amazed at this beautiful piece of art. Love your work (2). what music do you play.
Love....Love....Love this
Thank you! The music is from the RUclips audio library. I'm not sure of the names.
Nice
How do u take the vase off without messing it up. Is uv clear spray good to spray the vase
belissimo.
Que es lo último que le agrega para dar brillo?
Its is epoxy resin.
This is absolutely gorgeous, but how do you sort out the bumps of resin round the lip of the vase?
I use a palm sander and sand them off.
Apaixonada!!!
HELP😊😊😊. WHST IS the last shiny fluid?
It is epoxy resin.
avec quoi terminez vous votre peinture pour rendre le vase brillant ?
Gorgeous! How do you get the drips off without ruining it?
I use a palm sander to sand them off.
Do you save your skins and if so how do you repurpose them?
We did and tried making some resin pendants with them. We recently decided to stop doing paint projects and sold all of our paint. The saved skins went in the trash.
What did you do about the dried varnish drips around the edges?
I use a palm sander and sand them off.
What did you rub on the vase to seal or for shine?
It was epoxy resin.
What was the “ gel “ you put on it after it was dry?
Epoxy resin
Hi, this is stunning. I tried a pour on a cheap glass vase but I painted clear varnish over and it took half the paint off. Where did I go wrong?
I don't know. I'm not sure why that would happen. Maybe the paint wasn't completely dry when you tried the varnish?
what was the clear stuff you rubbed on at the end?
It is epoxy resin.
What do you mix with the acrylic paint? I tried to do a pour but never get it right. Have not had it create any cells. Can you offer any help?
I mixed the paint with floetrol and a little bit of water.
@@TheInexperiencedAdventures thank you for your reply. I’ll give it a go.
Do you have to let the paint dry or cure for a few weeks before you apply the resin?
Yeah. A week or two to be safe.
Bonjour est ce que vous mélanger la peinture au vernis collé ou au médium ? Et après appliquez vous un vernis si oui lequel. Merci
I mix the paint with a pouring medium which is Floetrol. When the vase is completely dry I then apply the top coat, either spray enamel or in this case epoxy resin.
Wow !!!!!!! 😍😍😍
What do you do about the resin drips on the rim? Do you just leave them or can they be sanded down? Thanks
We sand them down with a palm sander.
after the paint was poured, how did you handle the excess so that you have a clean rim?
We didn't do anything until after the resin cured. Then I took an oscillating palm sander to the rim.
Very pretty...
Were you able to use the excess that ran off?
We just started using the runoff after it dries to make resin pendants. Still learning though.
How do you clean the rim so it is smooth?
I use a palm sander. Then use some spray enamel to re-seal where i sanded.
Can you use the paint underneath?
If you are referring to the paint that drips off the vase, yes you can. We put ceramic tiles under most of our vase pours to make matching coasters. We also save some of the dried paint skins and use them to make pendants with resin.
What is the clear glaze you pour on the vase at the end????? This is my first time ever making the vast, and when I purchase the paint I can by the glaze. I just need to know. Thank you
It is epoxy resin.
@@TheInexperiencedAdventures WOO HOO THANK YOU, FAR OUT AND OUTTA SIGHT, I LOVE YOUR WORK.
I want to try this but I have some questions.
1. Do you thin the paint and if so with what?
2. Do you have to prep the glass?
3. What sealant do you use?
Thank you
Yes we thin the paint. We use floetrol and a little water. 1 part paint and about 1 part floetrol maybe a little more. Then just slowly add water till you like the consistency. We don't do anything special with the glass, just make sure it's clean. Alcohol is a good way to get it clean. To seal this one we used epoxy resin. We also seal with Rust-Oleum Crystal Clear spray enamel, about 4 coats. I hope this helps. Happy painting!
@@TheInexperiencedAdventures
Thank you.
Cest très joli.Est ce que je peux utiliser cette technique sur des verres que j'utilise ?c'est à dire est ce que je peux laver mes verres sans risque sur la peinture?merci
I think its possible but you would have to use food safe resin to protect the paint. I have never done it but I've seen people do it to tumblers. You should look for videos of people doing this same thing to tumblers. they would have better information. Hand washing them would be safe.

@@TheInexperiencedAdventuresI can't speak english
@@tihasamar1550 I can't speak French. I'm using google translate...I'll do it for you.
The vase is beautiful. What did you seal it with?
I forgot to put that in the description. It is Envirotex Lite apoxy resin.
Can you use a heat gun ?
Yes, I believe a heat gun works.
It seems that all of the first colours ended up on the table. Did you reuse this paint? Still a very nice piece.
After it dried we used some of it for resin pendants. Almost every time we did a vase pour we had it sitting on a small canvas or four ceramic tiles. Those caught most of the run off paint. So we would have a matching painting or we would make a set of coasters.
can this be used outside
I don't think I would.
What did you use to glaze waterproof?
We used resin. There is more information in the description. Thanks for watching! 🙂👍
My fiist language spanish but I love this. Iwould like understand better about the producto used.
how did you clean up the rim?
After the resin has cured we sand it. I use a palm sander.
Is this glass or hard plastic
It is glass.
Beautiful! I see an alligator at 4:45 in the design.
Fabulous! I'm just starting to try this technique. Do you have to use the epoxy at the end or can you spray it with a clear acrylic? I also noted that you chose to "layer" your paints, did I see correctly that you started with the lightest colors ending with the dark color? That made so much sense that I could have just smacked myself! 🤣
Thank you for sharing your creation with us. 😊♥️
We use the epoxy or spray enamel. We did layer our paint but in no specific order.
Did the silicone affect the resin?
It did not. We do clean the vases before finishing.
Oh ok, I was curious. I had heard silicone could mess of the finish. Thank you. The vase is beautiful.
Please show from beginning to end, mixing paint and glossy products used
This was a "leftover paint" video. There are more vase painting videos on my channel that show all that stuff. Check out the art adventures playlist.
everyone does this technique but it doesn't convince me, the last coats of paint which are the first to be poured vanish and there is no trace left of them, I would try only 3 colors, that beautiful golden orange is totally gone, the last 3 colors take over
So much amount of leftovers..
I always feel sorry for the leftovers and don't know what to do with them..then they dry out and I just throw them😨😫
Is epoxy the same as resin?
Honestly I don't know much about it but from what I understand, no they aren't. We use epoxy resin but there is also polyester resin and acrylic resin. I think epoxy resin is the most popular in the art world but, again, I don't know much about it.
I love the effect so much ,but the cheapskate in me keeps thinking about all that wasted paint !
Put the vase on tile(s); you'll coasters along with the vase!
Ran across this in recommendations. New to pouring...where do you get your resin?
I believe the resin I used for this I bought at a local hardware store. We use Total Boat now and we just order it from Amazon.
Quá đẹp ah
Et le dessus... Quand on retourne le vase ,?
I'm not exactly sure what you are asking but if you are asking what is on top of the vase, or what I sealed it with. It's Envirotex Lite Apoxy Resin.
@@TheInexperiencedAdventures meciiiii
Rien compris
Does the envirotex smell strong when using it and after it dries does it smell? Also after dry is it tacky.,? Thank you 😊
It does not smell strong when using it or after it dries and we have not noticed any tackiness after it dries. We have switched to using Total Boat resin though.
Was that clear resin you put over once the pour was dry?
Yes it was 🙂
People over pour paint. I don't do that. I'm not concerned about the canvas cause you can always add more paint if you need to.
The vase lost colors but turned out beautifully.
Ye Pakistan ka he ya bahar mulk ka
Great vase awful music
Love it
