@@lorbet2419 What do you mean by ‘played’? Were they not pushing because of fear? Or did they not feel the need to go flatout? I can’t imagine the latter.
They were literally movie cameras strapped to the car. They were heavy too. The drivers went and did laps but not at high speed (and a few quite slowly). There were two videos called Lap of the Gods which were omboards from all over the world and really worth finding. Same with In Car 956 where they did the same with a Porsche.
These old onboards are incredible. Very good quality for the time and it really shows you the sense of speed
in the '60 and '70s when they put the cameras oboard on f1 the drivers never went as fastes as they could, drivers just "played"

@@jopvandam6820 Perhaps because the camera's were heavy and also raised the centre of gravity?

0:48 that tunnel oost section until around panorama looks BRUTAL
A tight, high fluidity track is the essence of Zandvoort, and it went over the heads of the idiots who redesigned it
Bellissima la vecchia ZANDVOORT
Het mooi oude complete zandvoort😢
Like this one more than the track from now
Its was dangerous, but ok
Atleast an asweome track to see 😂
@@protalukoriginal4560 dangerous!.
are you kidding. dangerous for the people who view and don't race at all.
for the drivers it was brilliant. FACT
nah, new one with banked corner is awesome
@@deltaframes-os4kmyeah the track was brilliant, they should have kept the shape, now sand dunes just besides 500 horsepower cars, unthinkable today
Fast and flowing. Like Hugenholtz’s other great circuit, Suzuka, which is thankfully still with us relatively unchanged compared to Zandvoort.
Way better than any modern track. Modern tracks just don't flow like the old ones.
Rip
James Hunt is sow fast
the commentator sounds like the commentator from wec 2023, or is he the 1?
Yeah, he surely is one of the EuroSport crew's.
