Awesome! I would love to see a video from Genelec on how to correct the measured response for the Analog products (since they have no GLM). Please consider making a video on the EQ portion for REW. Thank you!
To what Marcel said, Ethan Winer tested a handful of these linear omnidirectional condensers (measurement mics) and the only difference was shelving from around 1kHz. I think most people are concerned with bass when using REW and the response was the same in all the mics. This was before the UMIK but I don’t think it’ll be much different. In other words, buy one for about $100 since it’s not worth renting and you’ll need it more than once.
The 8020Ds will deliver the same sound quality and performance as the G Twos. They share the same acoustical design and the same enclosures. Main difference is the RCA connector on the G Two that is often used in home environment. 8020D comes with XLR connector. G-series also have different color LED, and these two models have different adjustments available on the DIP-switches. Both models are suitable for home, and professional using.
Love my Genelecs 8030 cpm, after watching the video I tried the low bass -4 dB and have improved a lot! Before I thought it was only to be used with a subwoofer because the 85 hZ target frequency… Is there any difference between G3 and 8030 cpm? Perhaps the sensibility?
The G Three and 8030C are quite similar, but they do have some differences. These include variations in sensitivity, the configuration of their DIP switches, and the color of the LED.🙂

Thanks a lot for your feedback. There is one video including the EQ section: ruclips.net/video/Rmd5HgODQDg/видео.html
Genelec makes such good educational content.
Thanks a lot for your feedback. We really appreciate it!
Great explanation! Well done
Thanks a lot for the feedback!
What is meant by ISS key?
Please find information of ISS from the following link: www.genelec.com/key-technologies/intelligent-signal-sensing-technology
Thanks for the video. What would be a good measurement mic to use? Seems like an ideal item to rent a good one from a rental house.
Since the main focus is the bass range, inexpensive entry-level measuring mics will do a good job as well. Greetings!

Whats the difference between G2 and 8020? Which one to choose for hifi AND music production at home?
