The most important thing is "Captain America fu..."
The fact that the Hulk throws a bolder to outer space now showing how powerful the hulk is .
He's been holding himself back. I think we'll get an even more overpowered hulk in the future, one that could have dummied thanos. Combine the braun and the brains.
He was still holding back ....
That would have been cool if a jeep didn't ram into him 30 min later and throw him into a boulder. VERONICA ain't got nothin on that jeep I guess. Or it's just terrible writing...
Everybody ignores the fact that Smart Hulk is objectively stronger than most of the versions so far in the MCU. He used the gauntlet to snap back half of life in the universe, fried his arm, then held up Avengers HQ full of water.
Bubububububut the bestestest 2008 Incredible Hulk ripped a car in half and fought a freshly born Abomination!!!!!! That somehow means he's stronger, right?
Vast majority of the people claiming they ruined "Hulk" are Hulk smashy smashy fanboys that have no idea what they're talking about.
@@DayneAW lmao we got an mcu defender here. Banner in endgame snapped and brought everyone back, great. He then hold up the avengers compound full of water? No, he didn't hold much uo besides some debris from crushing rocket and Rhodes, that's it 😐. They nerfed tf outta the hulk bc they wanted ironman and cap to shine. They didn't care about the hulk and haven't since 2012. Hulk one punching a leviathan is so much stronger than holding up some concrete debris. This professor hulk is way weaker bc not only does he not do anything, but he never actually uses his physical strength, the literal caricature of what the hulk is. You're the one who doesn't know anything about the hulk.
In regards to why Bruce has a struggle with controlling the Hulk form, while others with gamma powers stay in control: they could go in the direction of Al Ewing's Immortal Hulk run, where Bruce developed D.I.D. as a result of his father's abuse and the murder of his mother. The Hulk is essentially the manifestation of the trauma and rage he felt throughout his childhood, which is why the Hulk often acts like a child.
Immortal Hulk is seriously such an great comic run, probably one of my favorites. I wish they would adapt it into live-action, but I doubt Disney would allow Marvel Studios to go full body horror with it. The way that comic run depict Bruce's transformation into the Hulk is so brutal and disgusting, I love it.
I jumped to the comments to point this out. On first viewing I took it as Bruce realizing his loss of control might be a personal problem of his own, and he needs to take a hard look at himself.
yes sir!!!! That would be the perfection we need. It would be the perfect run for it. Maybe we can actually get some more brutal Disney shows. or some deal with someone for rated r set-ups
I believe the DID aspect was covered long before Immortal Hulk, but never officially stated. Dogs of War, a storyline in the 90's, I believe, revealed that Professor Hulk/Smart Hulk was its own personality crafted by Doc Samson, and not actually Bruce's mind inside Hulk's body. And a Dogs of War storyline could also lean heavily into other Hulk personalities, like Joe Fixit, or Maestro. I don't think Maestro is his own personality, but they could change it for the MCU.
A Hulk movie that combines Dogs of War and Immortal Hulk could also be very interesting, and could be used as a great set-up and lead in to a World War Hulk storyline.
You could call also Jen’s thunderclaps: Thunderous Applause or even… Clapbacks 👏🏿

That was pretty funny
I really hope that’s who’s in the ship! Just makes for an interesting story…plus gives Bruce something really interesting to deal with.
Knowing marvel it would be a daughter
@@CassNova13 And? What's the problem with that?
@@CassNova13 Says who bruh
@@CassNova13 ikr and why they keep changing the gender of characters that were just fine as they were in the comics. They are plenty of Marvel characters to choose from both female and male obviously.
Except that would completely undo the existing MCU Canon. Bruce is a scientist. He said he was sterile in Age of Ultron. How would he have a son? Or knowing Disney MCU, more likely a daughter that's better than him w/o training
Very cool of you to admit that you didn't know the origin of Hulk's shirt Voss! Always appreciate the NR folks being good people
?
What?!
with Bruce i think its the fact he always kinda had a "hulk" in him. he was always suppressing his emotions ect. once he accepts those parts of him he merges the 2 parts.
I mean, at its most base level that's indeed the whole thing with what originated the whole archetype years ago in Jekyl & Hyde
During Peter David's 12-year run as writer of the Incredible Hulk comic book (1987-1999), he came up with the explanation that Bruce always had PTSD from having grown up with an abusive father who murdered his mother, but had always repressed it; but the Gamma bomb liberated his inner demons, so they could manifest with various Hulk bodies and their own personalities. So in other words, Bruce has disassociative identity disorder, just like Moon Knight. The "main" Hulk we'd known up to then, the Green Hulk, was his child self, simple-minded and embodying all the pure rage he felt towards his father. The Gray Hulk -- whom David renamed "Joe Fixit" -- was more intelligent but more amoral, like a rebellious teenager also repressed by Bruce. And so on... all these different Hulks living in Bruce's mind, all vying for dominance.
@@hyloguy6847 ya i dont think this version will be that extreme, but i do think its directly connected to his own personality and psyche. kind of like how the super soldier serum pushes your personality traits to the max i think this brings out things that might normally be repressed.
What if…Skaar appears before Jen in the final scene of the series. He says, “Where’s my dad?” To which Jen responds, “HULK FU-!” And another epic cut-off curse ^_^
With Bruce realizing Jen doesn’t have an alter ego like he does, it draws a parallel to moon knight with 2 personalities and how they come to an agreement to work together. Hulk and Banner come together to become “smart hulk”. Maybe they’ll find this common ground in a future project together?
I think the reason Bruce has the Jekyll and Hyde dual personality within himself is because he was exposed directly to Gama radiation whereas Jennifer the Leader and Skarr were exposed to the synthesized gama blood that came from the Hulk's blood, so their dose was not as strong 😉
Bruce might just have Disassociative Identity Disorder whereas Jen and Blonsky don't suffer from the condition hence no second personality when in their Gamma forms
Bruce developed the hulk personality because he was abused as a child to protect himself.
@@alittlewasted3869 While that's from the comics, I don't think it's something established in the movies
I think its foreshadowing the world War hulk movie
Definitely
Jess, I think that would make sense. Hulk had it happen to him first, so his body had to change multiple times until he was stable. Now that his body provided the test bed, he's left with residual negative effects, while future iterations benefit getting all the positive effects.
“Did we hit a spaceship”?
Technically no, you swerved to avoid crashing into it
Alternatively, no... you dodged it and accidentally recreated the end of Top Gear's Albania episode.
@@Jedi_Spartan_38 “oh no he’s driven round it”
@@baileymartin4500 I was moreso thinking: "I'll see you in Spain lads! Ouch."
14:00 Hulk has two sons. Caiera actually produces two cocoons: one for Skaar and one for his twin brother Hiro-Kala.
So when bruce hulked out in the beginning it seemed like he was turning back into savage hulk and the whole rest of the episode i saw him getting angry and was so hoping for savage hulk to come out and i believe it's gonna happen soon i don't think they can keep him smart hulk forever
I love the different tones each Disney+ shows have they feel MCU but with their own twist
Sort of like how abc and cbs and nbc have been doing…forever. Sigh
Skaar would be nice but I would love to see him also being able to transform into hulk
Skaar would be 5.

The three of you? Together!? What have we done to deserve such an iconic trio
Three is a crowd
@@nelsoncastillo8051 The best crowd
They give me life.
I agree. These three have a chemistry that just goes perfect with each other.
I was just so excited for the three of them together, they could’ve discussed anything and I’d be here for it!
I think the gamma radiation in his blood is similar to the way the symbiotes work in venom not everyone has the same capabilities Eddie Brock has but when they do, and get a piece of venom, they become another “better” or “different “ version of venom.
I think the biggest reveal was that both Bruce and Jen are Mutants. Bruce said that they both of them have genetics that allow them to absorb and metabolize Gamma Radiation. Instead of Gamma Radiation breaking down their cells, it makes them stronger.
I didn’t catch that
@@999enlightened bruce explains it in his lab
No that doesn't make them mutants. Wtf.
@@blowc1612 right......having any gene common dosen't make u a mutant....the MUTANT GENE does
Was the word "Mutant" specifically used? In the comics they (and others with Gamma/Hulk related powers) are called "Gamma Mutates" so perhaps they'll try to distinguish them from traditional X-men style mutants when they eventually get introduced.
I'm just glad they're keeping Hulk abilities exclusive/limited (even though I like the idea of Hulks being wide spread but only if it were core part of a story, such as a plot with the same concept as the story of Gamma Base from the Hulk roller coaster at Universal).
Jen’s thunderclaps , thunderous applause or just clapping just unbelievably
Personally I felt like the 4th wall stuff felt a little forced.
It always is
The inhibitor , IMO , did not glitch out it worked as intended. Had he not been inhibited he would not have been able to be injured enough to bleed on his cousin. The inhibitor is the thing that allowed Jen to become SheHulk.
I had the same thoughts!
It was damaged in the car crash, you not only see it, but he says it.
Also the inhibitor was keeping his hulk abilities in check, essentially making him normal (think kryptonite / superman)
nope that's not what it's intent is so it did glitch out.
Absolutely
This makes no sense. So his plan....was to have this happen? No? Then thats not it's intended purpose so this literally has to be incorrect.
I loved the fight they had😂 they were throwing hands lmao
I think him merging together with hulk to become smart hulk gave him all of old hulks memories.
Agents of Smash was such an underrated cartoon. I want all of the hulks
More importantly, where did the ship go once the car crashed❓❓❓❓
He most likely dealt with it afterwards. To hard why he knew it was a messenger ship.
They'll reveal that way later as the actual tease for what happens next.
Please give us what we need, want and deserve..........a really good Mark Ruffalo Hulk movie!!!!
Maybe you should first learn why it hasn't happened 🤣 you must live in a rock.
blame Universal Pictures
@@TheTokeTeam greedy bastards
@@blowc1612 he knows but its still possible
@@blowc1612 yes, but the rights thing with Universal is apparently not a thing anymore.
Bruce says it's a "courier ship". The Sakaar ship isn't targeting the Hulk, it was quite literally "trying to send a message".
Maybe it doesn't even have a pilot
It's a courier ship that means it could be sending just about anything Bruce only thought it was a message but that doesn't make it a message
@@shirtlessgoldblumishot2006 That's exactly what I just said. I never said the message was for Bruce, now did I? Also a space fairing species would send messages by courier ship, not packages. There'd be no point to carrying cargo in a ship that small. They'd use a frigate, not a cruiser. 🤔
@@thegammagamer3776 unless it's living cargo honestly Sakaar really has no reason to send a message to earth unless it's for hulk but in all actuality it's probably just Skaar also All I said it doesn't have to be a message
It probably is hulk's son since it seems like they r giving all the super heros like kids like Thor wonda and now hulk maybe
Hulkling n Wiccan tho
@@billivee wasnt Hulking the child of Captain Marvel and a skrull though?
Its was a good start to the series tho 💚
One of the best brainstorms I've enjoyed in a while. 23:49 His head getting the most of gamma radiation might explain for his duel personality akin to Phineas Gage
Hulk normally is a 2nd personality he developped because of his abuse as a child.
Shouldn't "Smart Hulk" have all the memories of The Hulk including Sakaar if he merged the brains AND th brawn? Bruce knew "Thanos is coming" even though he was the hulk until he crashed on earth.
Yet another point that would disprove the idea of "Smart Hulk is a merging of Banner and Hulk."
At this point it just seems like Banner found a way to mercilessly purge the Hulk's persona and just casually assumed direct control over the body.
He does have those memories.
I think Bruce turned back briefly after boarding the ship and then he was brutally damaged when Thanos killed almost everyone in Thor's ship. Loki just realized that Hulk was about to emerge and so he delivered his speech accordingly.
I think we are going to discover through Jen Walters that Bruce's Smart Hulk is not nearly as well put together as he thinks he is
Do you think Hulks wrist inhibitor will eventually become the basis of the mutant collars that inhibit mutant powers like on Genosha?? Oh and P.S. the Titania fight scene jump kick was the worst thing I've ever seen in a Marvel project!!
Could be
That kick was strait out of street fighter 🤣
Reminds me of "Don't Mess With The Zohan"! Next we'll see Mr. Fantastic doing the "feet uppercuts"!
This episode was so good that it just flew-by, feeling as if it was shorter, but just so much fun!
Honestly, I think Hulk recognizes the ship because it's a courier ship, which would deliver packages such as a special made helmet for one of their past champions.
My guess is that because of the trauma he experienced when he first became hulk, he developed DID similar to Moon Knight. Except the Hulk alter is only active when he’s in Hulk form. The same way Mark’s alters have different accents
well we know that DID can happen when someone goes through something very traumatic, so i think the simple answer of why bruce has an alter ego but no one else does is because he has DID. wether from a traumatic childhood, or the experience of turning into hulk, his anger became personified. bruce and hulk are two different alters until they agreed to work together.
What's DID mean
@@MrKbassett17 Dissociative Identity Disorder
So so so nice to see Jessica back on Inside Marvel!!
Okay, but imagine if this is someone who has been told all his life he is the Son of Hulk, but he is in fact Hulkling.
(they just combine both characters into one to avoid the whole fast aging thing and all that so his name is Skaar and he becomes Hulkling).
Which will tie into Secret Invasion AND eventually Young Avengers.
That Ruffalo impression tho
I have been waiting so long for Inside Marvel to just be a trio between these three
He surely hided something from his past days at Sakkar
Bruce maybe don't remember what it is but hulk probably does
@@rethablair6902 Yes surely
i think i agree with the whole throat thing , it may just hulked out like we knew he could partially hulked out, for a quick moment in Infinity war, so thats pretty possible,
or he quickly hulked out once the trigger were pulled, and back to bruce right after, with the bullet still in his mouth
What an incredible episode!!!
Whether it was intentional or not that was a smart choice of words “incredible” Hulk 👍
I really love the Immortal Hulk series, love the idea of several hulk and banner personalities and hope we can navigate to that kind if narrative although seems like Moon Knight has that story instead
The Hulks transformations can range from gradual in an almost controlled manner to instantaneous. This depends on Banner exerting his conscious will over his transformations or the stress level of the situation. The extra mass Bruce gains as the Hulk comes from an unknown dimension.
Another big question I have from this episode is why was Jen's DNA and reaction to gamma special enough to heal Hulk's arm?
Probably something involving the interaction of gamma mutates
Yeah they were both hulking out
They are family
Quick and lazy writing
XX not XY
Don’t you get it, women are better. That is the theme of this series
I believe, as Hulk is a hero on Sakaar, that the Sakaarians have previously sent a Sakaarian Courier to gift Hulk the helmet as a lure to bring him back to Sakaar.
That would explain how he got the helmet, since he clearly left the planet with nothing that he had while he was there.
10:04 So it was in a fight scene... ok, I'm now potentially fine with Banner getting the Malgus treatment.
Cap slept with all them USO dancers
Why didn't the person in the ship just follow them after the crash to confront them? Why did they have to just fly away?
Looking for hulk not knowing that banner is hulk. Probably traced the gamma radiation in his blood
We can't know for sure how much the time lapsed between the brief moments of consciousness i guess
Well maybe when the inhibitor stopped working he briefly went back to Rage Hulk and the ship got scared off? Then he regained his Smart Hulk and just had to wait for Jen's call.
It's called horrible writing.
I assumed smart Hulk received Hulk's earlier memories which would include Sokkar.
HULK BE FUCKIN ON SAKAAR?
I agree with Jess. Banner is patient 0 and everyone who hulks out after banner inherits the ability to control their hulking out as much as their predecessor.
Capt. was just bangin'...."This ain't no dinner thang"
One scene that always stood out to me was in Thor Ragnorok when Hulk is underwater fighting Fenris and he is cut and bleeds. They focused a little too long in that detail for it to mean nothing imo
Also made me sad with all the Tony talk in this episode. RIP 😢
Bruce and hulk merged minds I recon that is how he has knowledge of sikar
I believe the reason why Bruce has two personalities when hulking is due to his abusive father which created a split personality that later manifested as the hulk to protect him.
that’s basically what DID is, which is explored in Moon Knight.
Yeah, that's exactly how it is in the comics.
Like, word to word.
Oh you read the comics too!?
Nobody mentioning it but that roll over in the car was really good!
Yesss!!! I’m so happy to see Jess do the Easter egg video 😃😃😃😃😃😃😃😃
That was a good impersonation of the smart Hulk
My interpretation is the way they spoke they were being sarcastic about Ched being smart
I remember the VFX of old shows like Lou Ferrigno’s Incredible Hulk, let’s just say that VFX effects got substantially better starting with Star Wars. There’s a great series on Disney+ called Light & Magic that you should watch.
I thought it was well known that Bruce suffers from multiple personality disorder due to the abuse received from his father.
There's no one in the ship, it's a messenger ship.
If there *is* someone, it's just a messenger not someone important.
There were a lot of hints towards Maestro with what banner talks about throughout the episode.
I think Screencrush mentioned that Bruce has a form of DID because he was abused as a child and suppressed his anger and when his DNA reacted to the gamma( which I suspect is basically a type of mutation in the MCU) the Hulk became his alternate identity and him becoming Smart Hulk is them integrating.
I hope by the end The Grandmaster shows up with OG Hulk setting up World War Hulk.
i love that jess is back!!
0:39 Lowkey great impression lol
Idk I think Scaar could be the message they might try and share him. I mean Hulk was there for 2 yrs. He was smashing skulls in his room and smashing in the bedroom. Grand Master was giving him anything he wants.
I am holding out hope he had a kid with Valkerie. Half Asgardian, half Hulk, all badass! Plus it would give him a reason to be more powerful than Hulk.
14:53 maybe he got the memories of Sakaar when Hulk and Banner merged into Professor Hulk. There would be no overlap because Banner’s identity was “asleep”
Bathroom scene is spot on. You can often make quick friends in the women's room.
Complete opposite for guys
During the hulk fight all I could think of was Deadpool saying “ Big CGI fight coming right up”
Best Marvel series for me so far
What about the lab Tony built ... and hulk talking about wanting him to fly back and take it over one day ... hmmmmm. Potential revisit
Banner has personality disorder and the Hulks for Bruce are physical manifestations of Bruce different alter egos. This was further explained in Immortal Hulk. Great read!!
“Hah Sakaar-crash!” that was so good 🤣
Thanks and safety to ya all as always!!
Smart Hulk knows about the ships because he’s Hulk. Banner spent time teaching him how to be a genius. It’s not Banner, that’s why he kept reiterating “Smart Hulk” and touching his chest. He’s proud of himself.
I like the banna hulk explanation abusive father and the hulk is a protective personality
The grandmaster lives with Daryl
The hulk and wolverine has notoriously strong healing factors they both have literally have had holes blown through them and have been vaporized down to bone and regenerated ...
Cap is Peter Quill’s grandpa.
Grandmaster isn’t dead. he’s chilling with Darryl
Dr. Strange also appeared in Thor: Ragnarok.
Bruce was screwed up as a child just like Moonlight. Seriously do you folks not read the comics?
Moonknight
Voss out here doing it for the culture 👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿✊🏿✊🏻✊🏿
Aren't they planning a "Young Avangers" type movie?? Got Brave Heart, Ms.Marvel, and other mutants coming online...??
Ironheart ms marvel are both members of the champions team of younger heroes (basically just another team of young avengers that are not actually avengers)
Will that bolder, that got launched into space, creat a bigger problem in the future ?
I don't think how or how much gamma was introduced has anything to do with forming the separate Hulk/Banner personalities . It just allows them to manifest in separate bodies. Banner was abused as a boy, so I think the Hulk personality is the rage he's had to suppress over the years. The others who remain in control when they change just had healthier ways to handle anger from the beginning.
I love it so far ❤️
They might explain that when he merged with hulk that he got the memories from his time on the planet
Really hope hulk comes back to resolve this issue in this series of in a solo film/ series
The grandmaster starred in tho one shot team Daryl
with them pushing harder for realms dimesions etc. I think it's possible that the Hulk personality comes from the Green Door, and the One Below All
I need to see the hulks family reunion
I think maybe Bruce has a form of D.I.D. so that's why Bruce has the alter ego and not Jennifer. This was a great intro!
It would make bit of sense, i think, and ill have to check, he had a traumatizing / abusive childhood iirc in the comic.
