I remember I had a similar experience with the alpha Rapidash. I sent out my level 8 Buizel after dodging its flare blitz and striking from behind, thinking I’d get some sort of advantage by attacking that way. Then I saw that it was level 40, decided “nah”, and quickly ran away from battle. The Rapidash not only ran alongside me and cut me off, but it maintained eye contact the entire time.
When I first saw this snorlax I just throw millions of pokeballs and I still to battle it…. It was around level 3 0 I immediately run away after I saw that
The one thing I wish the game has is a longer range on the Focus ability. Because I swear, everytime I want to focus on a Pokémon from the grass or any safe spot, it is just out of range.

In my case, I thought it was a good idea to go and bother the lvl 60 Alakazam that's South West of that Snorlax. It sent me to the Shadow realm 😳 That Snorlax is clearly here to tell you that beyond him, everyone is *worse* than him (difficulty wise).
I caught that one. It was pretty easy when I just got the 65 alpha Infernape. 1 hit 1 ultra ball and I was out of my seat lol! My best fight was alpha Snorlax against alpha Chansey! It went on forever with the heals! I love rest though! Normal will bring you to full health from almost dead.
im more surprised that the snorlax isnt actually sleeping. in almost every pokemon game the first time you meet a snorlax, its always sleeping and blocking the way.

Kinda felt the same when i went up against the Alpha Parasect. I was just like "Oh, even if it's a higher level my staravia SHOULD be able to take it" then proceeds to get giga impacted to oblivion
Parasect were unbelievable fast in this game. That was the only pokemon I couldn't outrun at the start of the game. Whooped my ass just as quick too. Hisuian Decidueye sucks man.
