I've posted over 100 videos on this channel over the last 3 years, and I've shared many a thought on many a season of RuPaul's Drag Race, so I thought it'd be fun to go back to some of my earliest videos from 2020 and 2021 and see just how much my opinions have changed throughout the years.
First, we'll look at my Unrigging of Drag Race season 11 video where I break down all my thoughts on that season. Then we'll get into the real tea with my highly controversial Unrigging of Drag Race Season 12 video. Do I still hold the same opinions on Gigi Goode? What about Jan Sport?

My unpopular opinion is that the backdrop doesn’t need an iron, let her be creased
I agree, we love a messy queen
the creases are camp for sure, but some kind of anti-glare coating or something might help berceuse the reflections are a bit distracting

i was the exact same with gigi lmao. i remember me and everyone else loving her for the first 3 episodes and then nearly everyone completely switched up and hating on her especially after that rusical and president challenge…it was bad for her 😭
Literally!!! Everyone was so chill with her those first couple eps then the Ball happened and then it just got worse from there lol

The judges kinda screwed Gigi over because the audience started to resent her
It’s the opposite for me. I was so enamoured with her, and rewatching season 12 now, many of her outfits although smart are kind of pedestrian.
But still, she ate and deserved to be in the finale, and, you know…
I’m just like Derek, in the fact that I do not post hate to any contestant from a drag competition whatsoever, I will say how I feel about a contestant or choice to myself and move on with my life.
Facts! Even the haters can hate out loud but idk why NOT tagging the queens or goin to their social media with it is so hard to understand! If they hate a queen so much they can call they home girl and talk all the mess they want NO HARM to the queen. Why these losers tag and go to the queens pages is insa e

The pandemic literally didn’t change my life except there was a toilet paper shortage. That’s the life many, many disabled people lead every single day and have done for much if not all of their lives. Which is why disabled people are so prone to depression and other mental health issues. The loneliness and the isolation is pervasive and consuming. Funnily enough, that’s why content like yours make our lives better. It’s our link to the world a lot of the time.
other than the constant dread of millions of deaths, being terrified that I would infect someone with covid and watching people say that the pandemic was fake, I lowkey thrived during the first year of the pandemic because my roommates were home so I wasn't as lonely in my house. plus a lot of events became accessible online, and my job let me work from home. it was wild to watch people en mass going insane from being stuck in their house when like... that's how I was already forced to live due to my chronic illness lol
You're the reason I started watching Drage Race again starting with season 12. Your recaps and opinions on the rigory really intrigued me into finding out these things for myself by watching the show.

One I would like to add is saying to get Gottmik the win was to make Symone safe… like Gottmik objectively did the best also even if she didn’t that didn’t stop them from giving her the win over Utica in the ball… I know Symones outfit was amazing, but like what we saw she wasn’t making Ru burst out laughing and she kind of broke character with the Jennifer Lewis Jennifer Lawarence moment…. Gottmik deserved that win 100%

If I remember correctly before you even did a voice over you made an all winners season and you had aquaria beat yvie in a lip sync and I think that was your biggest hot take.

I have left like 2 comments on RUclips videos in its entire existence. I was so endeared to this one that I decided to leave one, because I wanted you to know that you should be proud of yourself, I love your channel, and you have a genuine insight to your own experiences. It's so rare to find people willing to admit mistakes, failure, and then earnestly reflect on that to improve themselves.
I remember watching your old videos and wishing you would use reference photos and up the production because I enjoy listening to your opinions. What a glow up ❤ your riggory of AS8 was a masterpiece.

I think we can all agree that by All-Stars 6, Scarlet had shown a considerable amount of improvement as a DA, especially in performance and makeup. Just a shame she practically had a Mariah Balenciaga pulled on her and she was reduced to a filler girl.

Maybe it would be fun to do a video where you react to OUR drag race opinions: you could do this through polls like you used to and have categories like “best/worst runway of all time”, “best/worst challenge” “best/worst promo” and even some more season specific questions and then react to the responses you get, it’d be nice to hear you talk about where you agree and disagree with us and it’d also be a nice way to send of polls on this channel

Personally, I like when u like include the poll opinion (alongside your own)- I don’t really keep track with the talk goin on with fans on,one and stuff so it’s nice having like a snapshot of what other fans opinions are.

My most unpopular I think opinion is Sasha still would’ve won season 9 even if the finale format had been different. She dominated all parts of the finale not just the lip syncs, her track record wasn’t really that far behind shae’s and I think she had almost as much fan support and one of the strongest storylines which was she inserted her brand of intellectual drag into everything she did.
Do u think she could or would? I definitely dont see Sasha winning as a certainty with any finale format, possibility ? Yes
Most of that support was because of that gag in the final though, no matter what people might say out loud 😂
@@AnT-ik1fh it’s possible that Kim could’ve won 8 if Bob had not slayed the finale that hard. I genuinely think it’s the same case for Sasha. I agree the finale pulled her across the finish line at the end. But especially in the looks she pulled out for the finale blew everyone out of the water. I don’t just think it was just the lip syncs. So for example if peppermint had been eliminated and the final 3 had been sasha, shae, and trinity. With the finale package she gave sasha still wins I really do think
sasha colby was the most overrated queen i have ever seen . she can perform(dance), that is it....

Jan wasnt really neck and neck with gigi since there were problems with her performance, jan's energy didnt serve madonna, she was way too smiley very theatre kid energy, which madonna doesnt give off so even though jan's runway was vetter gigi was still better in the challenge

39:31 I think reacting to your "The riggory of season 12" video would be lit. I know it probably doesn't have the same content material that the unrigging videos have, but is the only one of your "Riggory of..." videos that doesn't have the high and low placements + storyline analysis of each character. I remember being really into Crystal's art, but I was so sad cause she only appeared at the end of the video where she got a win + a bottom placement at top 5 lmao, even tho she had a kinda long high strike after episode 6. great video btw man !

I am Mexican, but I really enjoy your videos because I watch them all the time, while I do homework, while I shower, while I eat, literally any time, my English is not the best, but I can understand all your content and precisely something I love is that more than 95% of the time, your opinion is exactly the same as mine, of course it is not always, but in general I empathize with your channel because of the similarity in opinions that we have jsjs, and its also great because your channel is from the very few drag race analysis channels that are really entertaining and are so passionately dedicated to it, thank you for entertaining my days uwu 🐱

I met Scarlet Envy at a Hocus Pocus-themed show with Alexis Michelle and Tina Burner last weekend. It caused me to realize something about why so many latched onto her early on.
One big thing Scarlet has going for her is her natural charisma and charm, and I think a lot of people saw her for that and her budding potential as a DA. If you really look at some of her stuff that season, though, you can tell she’s not QUITE all together yet. She was a talented actress and seamstress who knew how to work the camera, but she needed more experience in things like makeup and performance ability. So she may have lasted a few more episodes on Season 11 had she survived the Last Dance lip-sync (which I honestly think Ra’Jah just barely beat her on, even if it’s currently Scarlet’s best lip-sync), but she wouldn’t have been in the finale.
That said, she’d shown major improvements when she did All-Stars 6. Her makeup and performance ability were stronger, and she could’ve feasibly been in the top or even won certain challenges. Yet you can tell the producers kinda cast her as a filler girl and didn’t care about her as much as others, and even her elimination was more questionable there than the first time.
All that said, I think it’s safe to say that the Scarlet out there now is the final evolution of her, and hopefully the world will get to see that soon (*wink*).
The Gigi mea culpa finally!😭 It was wild watching it in 2020 but At least ure honest!!! She really did deserve those wins but people let external issues get in the way, If u dont think Gigi was the best at the Snatch Game, Rusical, and Viva Drag Vegas ure just wrong
The only one she’s a clear winner is the viva one. Her other wins are just very close and depending on the hour of the day I switch who I would give the wins to 😂 honestly just shows s12 is that bitch
I defo think she deserved all of them, I think it’s just that the love should have been spread a bit more ie, Gigi should have been high for two of these I think, The Rusical and Viva Drag Vegas, to make way for other queens, such as Jan or Jackie. BUT Ashe definitely stole snatch game.

If u deserved to win 3 challenges then u should win those 3 challenges. I get what ure saying considering Gigi could have rubbed people the wrong way, but looking at how people were acting u would think she got a Jorgeous win, the favouritism really wasnt as wild as people made it to be and the outrage was motivated by something else
i don't think she was the best in snatch game sorry... i just predicted 80% of her jokes even though they were hella smart (too much of an obvious robot pov), while jackie's felt more in the moment and unhinged to me.

agree with most but Jan absolutely didn't deserve either of the Rusical wins.
She was fine but got ANIHILATED by Beyonce Giselle Knowles Carter IN PERSON in AS6 so much so that the runway was honnestly whatever and she won solely for her redemption arc
I guess one could argue that she was a bit closer in s12 but Gigi was on fire and the simplicity of her runway was balanced with the originality (blonde michelle??!)
realisticly she was a lovely second place for both episodes

I'm sorry but I can't understand how you and many fans think that Gigi and Jan were close on the Rusical... Gigi was miles ahead, no runway could've gave Jan the win. Gigi was being theatrical, doing splits in heels meanwhile Jan was just moving on the stage with the most basic choreo ever and doing that with SNEAKERS.
