- DUFFTOWN, MORAY, SCOTLAND (4K Town Tour) Stunning Aerial, Walking, Drone 4K Footage features spectacular aerial, walking, and drone video footage shot in the night and day, great for travel, visit, vacation, and tourism planning set to original music. Dufftown is a burgh in Moray, Scotland and home to many whiskey distilleries, including Balvenie, Dufftown, Glendullan, Glenfiddich, Kininvie, and Mortlach. Historically part of Banffshire, Dufftown is in the ancient parish of Mortlach (Scottish Gaelic: Mòrthlach). The old Kirkton of Mortlach, with the historic Mortlach Parish Church, is on the southern outskirts of the present town. In the 19th century, James Duff, 4th Earl Fife, established Dufftown as housing for soldiers returning home from the Napoleonic War.
Dufftown hosts a highland games event every July which attracts many tourists.
Dufftown's notable buildings include Balvenie Castle, which was partly built with stones from the ruins of nearby Auchindoun Castle. The street plan of Dufftown is mainly four main roads meeting at the Dufftown Clock Tower; previously a prison but now a tourist information centre.
The railway reached Dufftown in 1862 when the Keith and Dufftown Railway opened a station in the settlement. The station closed to passengers in 1968 with goods traffic coming to an end around 1991. In 2003, the Keith and Dufftown Association reopened the station and the line as a preserved railway and set up their headquarters at the station.
Dufftown is located on the River Fiddich and is the location of several Scotch whisky distilleries. It produces more malt whisky than any other town in Scotland; in fact, a signpost on the way into Dufftown declares it the "Whisky Capital of the World". The largest and best known of the many surrounding distilleries is the Glenfiddich distillery that distills Glenfiddich single malt Scotch whisky. The Glenfiddich distillery is owned by William Grant & Sons, Dufftown's largest employer. This proliferation puts it on the famed Malt Whisky Trail, which also includes Keith, Glen Grant Distillery, Marypark, and Tomintoul.
In popular culture, according to the third film in the Harry Potter series, Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban, Hogwarts, the main setting of the series, is said to be close to Dufftown by Hermione Granger, when the town is mentioned in an article in The Daily Prophet.

Woow Looks really outstanding! The scene of the train is spectacular! Thanks for sharing! Keep going! U have my support!
Whisky is incorrectly spelt in your piece above. Whiskey, with an 'e' is Irish. Whisky is Scots. And, as a matter of interest, why does this start off with Dalwhinnie, which is many many miles away and then feature Glenfiddich distillery ... with no sign of Dufftown at all?
1:15 looks like the Hogwarts train from Kings Cross going its way to the Castle😯
What drone did you use?
