Oh thanks so very much! ❤
Mark brings something fresh to drumming. Far beyond the “chop monsters” he creates a new drumming language akin to Gadd back in the day. This interview provides insight into how that is occurring. He a beautiful monster amongst us and glad he’s happening in my lifetime.
Agreed! Mark is the man. Glad you enjoyed the interview
Thank you for the great conversation! Mark is a living legend for me
Excellent relaxed interview. Probably the best, most open one I've seen with Mark thou he is always really interesting anyway!
The problem with knowing such distinct and innovative drummers is that local drummers seem so limited. They are either jazz or rock, or maybe old-school boring jazz-rock!
Thanks, Chris

Thanks Chris! Happy to hear
Legit modern legend 💖
💯
These are so great thanks for doing these been listening a lot the last few days while at the studio. Good food for thought while cooking up 🎉
Happy to hear!
Great series of interviews so far looking forward to more! Thank you for your contributions

After the EPIC interview with RBJ and this one with the great Mark (other than the very interesting one with Terrace Martin) it's difficult to ask for more, but a drum "nerd" can always dream....if I have to think of modern drummers of whom there are no real in-depth interviews around the web i'd say these names: Chris Daddy Dave, Louis Cole, Deantoni Parks, Nate Wood, Cleon Edwards, Justin Brown, Justin Tyson and eve Jd Beck, just to name a few. I know these guys are always busy, but from what i know at least 4 of them live in L.A. and it should be easier for you to have them on the show. KEEP DOING WHAT YOU ARE DOING AS LONG AS YOU CAN, IT'S PURE GOLD ELMO!.
Thanks for the suggestions! Noted 👊🏼
These podcasts are literal gold however I was disappointed with the inconsistency of audio levels in comparison to other interviews. The Terrace Martin interview was perfect however this was too quiet. Thanks nevertheless!
Please get jd beck on it
