This shows how totally dependent we are on the internet. I work at a school. Everything is on line and done through the internet. All orders. Food, paper supplies, payroll. Everything. We need to start living like we did before the internet
UPDATE - I dogsit for a guy in the Houston area here in Texas. Yesterday he left early for his flight to California, and I arrived after he left his home. 2 hours later he messaged me. I asked him how his flight was going, and he said they hadn't taken off yet. The flights got delayed because apparently the computers at the airport were not working. They had to switch his flight, along with other passengers as well. Other passengers had also tried to find out why they were being delayed, and they kept being told it was because of the weather. So now the guy I dogsit for is confused along with the people there, since they keep being told different things.
We as a society need to just admit that this, everything online, all the time nonsense needs to end, and go back to analog for a lot of stuff. Water treatment plants, power plants, so forth and so on, don't need to be open to attacks from half way around the world from someone on a computer. That was so short sided of an idea putting our infrastructure at risk like this.
Good idea, but You can't un invent technology. We just need to get better at hardening our infrastructure. Most industries are using outdated computer programs and even equipment in some cases. There is better anti hacking software out there, but it isn't cheap..
UPDATE: I work on a military base. About a year ago they had us turn in our gas mask because we did not need them. Out of no where, last month, they quickly reissued them. No reason given
Update: I sometimes do interviews for my local Albertson’s company. I heard the story about the lady’s son who didn’t get the job. We have no hiring restrictions. It’s all in how you interview and your availability. We don’t care about your skin color. We just need you to show up. If you don’t appear to be good with customers during your interview you won’t get hired. If you can only work certain days and times that we don’t need, you won’t get hired. If we determine that you aren’t right for the job we tell corporate and they are supposed to contact the applicant and say thank you for applying but the position was filled. I’m not sure why he didn’t get that call/email. Corporate dropped the ball. We live in a college town and often don’t hire “kids” that miss their interview or show up late because that’s how they will treat their job. Sometimes an applicant just isn’t the right fit. We are not obligated to hire everyone who applies but we don’t hire based on Woke standards either. We just want you to show up, smile occasionally, and be nice to customers.
My buddy owns a dealership in MB SC. He uses CDK and says the parts and service is screwed. They were able to sell 7 cars still. They are a Chevrolet Cadillac dealer.
When I was young I could remember every single person’s number that I knew !! Now I don’t know either of my sons’ and can’t make myself no matter how hard I try … technology has definitely had a negative affect on my memory 😂 😞
UPDATE I work in the collision industry. We are getting parts in with hand written invoices due to the hack. This is only 1 problem with this industry. We have no work here people are not getting their vehicles repaired . They just don’t have the money to pay their deductibles. If the vehicle is drivable they r driving it . The only time we r getting jobs in , is if they are not drivable. Our business is down 85% !!! Not sure how we can stay in business

Applicant Information - If they visually see struggle with filling out the application, poor grammar, wrong information in boxes, poor work history, previous firings listed, gaps in employment without explanation of why (like schooling listed in other boxes), misdemeanors such as theft, b & e or violence listed, etc. This can lead to no phone call. I've seen applicants come in wearing a tiny swimsuit and flip-flops to apply for a job. Mom drove them in. Applicant stated mom made her leave the pool to apply for a job. She went in the no pile. You pick from the best applicants, especially when you have a lot of them. It cost a lot to train people. Be on your A game when applying. Apply at multiple places. Listen to videos on how to apply and interview.
UPDATE I work in the body shop industry in N central tx, it's affecting ford chevy and some others, unable to order parts. Parts delays affect us greatly even if it's just a day or two, work stacks up very very quickly, causing huge problems
UPDATE - my husband and I both had issues with our AT&T phones and calling yesterday - we live in SW MO. I was on the phone with a friend and it kept cutting out on me. I rebooted and tried again. In that first minute after reboot, I couldn’t call anyone. But shortly thereafter, it started working again. My husband works in IT and reset everything but it still did not work. Maybe 30 min later I was able to talk with him on the phone and all was well with regards to the phone (as best as we could tell).
UPDATE: First time experience, Doctors office no longer accepts cash or check as payment. Must pay with debit or credit card. ( LaGrange Kentucky / nprth central Kentucky)
Update here in Tennessee the food stamp slash EBT has been having issues where they will give us double money and then take it back and then give us more money because too many people spent the money that they didn't mean to give us then they tell us to change our PIN codes on a monthly basis😮

If you can try buying cheap radios a gsmr license is relatively cheap (around $40 and one license covers your immediate family) and seem fairly easy to use we are still learning ours but they don’t seem overly complicated. Limited range but it can be a way to keep in touch with someone close by.

I have to plan an extra 30 min just to get to work because it don’t seem to matter what street I choose to try to get around the construction. Most of it is just cones with no actual construction going on.my part of town is slowly becoming blocked off

Update... CDK cyber incident...This is not just a Ford problem, there are only 2800 Ford dealers on America. It affects all dealerships and showrooms that use CDK as their DMS - dealer management system.
As bad as this CDK hack is, just imagine if it happened to food suppliers like Sysco, or grocery chains. Or to the banking sector. Hmmm, and they want us to trust digital currency.

I can assure you CDK effects parts and service. And it isnt by auto manufacturer but by dealership that uses CDK. Ive seen it effect Ford, Chevy, Dodge, Honda, Nissan, Toyota, dealerships.
Popular New England grocery store chain, Maine, new store- my son was sent up there to help fill some shifts in the brand new store (common practice) and twice sought assistance from dedicated area employees (HBA and produce) but found they spoke NO English and could not help him help his customers requesting assistance for items. One spoke Spanish, the other he thinks was French. Frustrating for all!
Pretty much like calling customer service for anything…speaking to someone in India, Jamaica, outside your state of residence…no one know anything…just there as a warm body to answer the phone, keep you on hold, transfer you to some other ignorant person, put you back to an automated line, or disconnect you.
UPDATE: We order our dry cat food from a well known pet needs store. About one week ago our large bag of dry kibble cat food had mold in it, my husband quickly contacted the company and they quickly sent us another bag. We were happy with their quick response! To our very unpleasant surprise after feeding our cats, my adult son discovered to his horror……it was contaminated with Storage Mites. We had never heard of, or seen these teeny little pests. Needless to say we called the online store and were refunded our money and we quit our Auto Ship with them. The cats can have an allergy to these mites, they doing alright since eating it yesterday. We live in Oregon, don’t know which state the pet food shipped from.
Update: Ocean Springs, MS Yesterday an odd thing happened with my two separate accounts with AT&T. Our cell phones went out and at the same time so did our internet. These accounts are not connected, 2 separate bills. No landline either. We had no way to connect with anyone. My husband went to the AT&T store and all the employees cell phones were out and they had no clue what happened. It was an overall airy feeling. Late last night everything came on at the same time. All I could think of was what if the power went off? We would have lost power to our well, no water! Although we have generators and reserved water. How long is that going to last? I have lots of food and preps but I feel like it's never enough. The scary thing is that we could lose everything in a split second. Not only this, last week I got a message on my cell phone from AT&T that they have 911 back in service, I had no idea we lost it. I really Pray the people wake up and prep. God Bless... 🙏🙏🙏

Don't just put numbers in your phone, put them on paper. You could lose your phone or lose the numbers some other way!

Well my son who’s 20, tried applying at our local Walmart here in Canada ,, he tried 5 times,, No Reply !,, but noticed many new “hires” every week,, I guess they don’t hire certain skin colors !,,, His is White !!!

We use Firefox too. But, it's been having a problem playing RUclips videos. Firefox says they're working on an update to compensate for some change that Google recently made.

Any small hiccup and there is a massive delay and backlog imagine if there was actually actually a problem Peter Griffin do you hear about these hurricanes and hail storms and just any of these small things that can happen everyday.. and yes those are small things in comparison to the big picture of the world you never hear about what those people have done because they've done nothing they're no longer functionable..... Cops are just watered down soldiers with massive ego trips and they usually abuse the power.... Not all of them and it's horrible to say that lumping them all in together is unfair..... ok then... watch me do it anyway... The time for semantics is not now

Update... CDK cyber incident...This is not just a Ford problem, there are only 2800 Ford dealers on America. It affects all dealerships and showrooms that use CDK as their DMS - dealer management system.
As bad as this CDK hack is, just imagine if it happened to food suppliers like Sysco, or grocery chains. Or to the banking sector. Hmmm, and they want us to trust digital currency.
It's all about control. We need set up a different money system.

Update: Sams club McDonough GA has no meat. Their coolers have been having issues for weeks. The meat dept was closed entirely yesterday.
They'll wait till everyone panics, than everyone will be lined up, they will stock up on that poisonous bioengineered lab cell cancer meats. Other prepping channels say a magnet will be drawn to the fake meats/foods. I dont buy store meat, or food so I haven't tested, if this method is accurate
I can assure you CDK effects parts and service. And it isnt by auto manufacturer but by dealership that uses CDK. Ive seen it effect Ford, Chevy, Dodge, Honda, Nissan, Toyota, dealerships.
Popular New England grocery store chain, Maine, new store- my son was sent up there to help fill some shifts in the brand new store (common practice) and twice sought assistance from dedicated area employees (HBA and produce) but found they spoke NO English and could not help him help his customers requesting assistance for items. One spoke Spanish, the other he thinks was French. Frustrating for all!
Pretty much like calling customer service for anything…speaking to someone in India, Jamaica, outside your state of residence…no one know anything…just there as a warm body to answer the phone, keep you on hold, transfer you to some other ignorant person, put you back to an automated line, or disconnect you.
Update from South Louisiana. Egg price for 5 dozen jumped from $9.24 to $14.44 in 1 week at the Walmart
My wife went to work at 7:00am and was home by 10. CDK is toast and the dealerships are toast.
UPDATE: We order our dry cat food from a well known pet needs store. About one week ago our large bag of dry kibble cat food had mold in it, my husband quickly contacted the company and they quickly sent us another bag. We were happy with their quick response! To our very unpleasant surprise after feeding our cats, my adult son discovered to his horror……it was contaminated with Storage Mites. We had never heard of, or seen these teeny little pests. Needless to say we called the online store and were refunded our money and we quit our Auto Ship with them. The cats can have an allergy to these mites, they doing alright since eating it yesterday. We live in Oregon, don’t know which state the pet food shipped from.

Update: Ocean Springs, MS Yesterday an odd thing happened with my two separate accounts with AT&T. Our cell phones went out and at the same time so did our internet. These accounts are not connected, 2 separate bills. No landline either. We had no way to connect with anyone. My husband went to the AT&T store and all the employees cell phones were out and they had no clue what happened. It was an overall airy feeling. Late last night everything came on at the same time. All I could think of was what if the power went off? We would have lost power to our well, no water! Although we have generators and reserved water. How long is that going to last? I have lots of food and preps but I feel like it's never enough. The scary thing is that we could lose everything in a split second. Not only this, last week I got a message on my cell phone from AT&T that they have 911 back in service, I had no idea we lost it. I really Pray the people wake up and prep. God Bless... 🙏🙏🙏

Excedrin and excedrin migraine are exactly the same formula, check the ingredients, they are exactly the same. It is a marketing strategy.
Also, look at the amount of fluid in earache drops, eye drops, etc. Have seen a larger box they come in but, the same amount of ml. Larger box cost was more for the same thing. Reminds me of potato chips and other snacks…
Usually migraine meds over the counter just have a much higher caffeine level.
Who knew? I was taking it for years thinking that the Excedrin migraine was better.

Ingredients same but amounts of each may differ to target migraines. I suffer from migraines, have been on prescription meds for years but back in the day Excedrin wouldn't help.

Steve you need to understand something problably already does but you're never going to find anything on the news about any of this, I understand that you go when you research and that's of course something we all do? Nobody cares New York has nothing about it on the news Massachusetts had nothing about it on the news the other day nothing about Pennsylvania and the food stamp program? That's why I trust a lot of the people in we the people! We have to learn to trust one another, I see that a lot in the comments here at poplar preparedness as well as full spectrum survival? And keep that up because we can only rely on one another.
