His expression at 1:46 is for me characteristic of what a fantastic actor Seb Stan is. The fact that he was able to capture so much emotion, and so many memories, all in one facial expression... It's incredible. It's so realistic and believable, the desperation to be reunited with his daughter, but tentativeness out of fear of rejection. Such a moving scene.

Then take that, add it to fear your daughter hates you, and how the HECK do you show it? And then Sebastian Stan's like GOT THIS, with ONE EXPRESSION.
I really wish they kept Jefferson around more. I would've loved to see him reconnect with Grace and their journey together after reuniting. Seb even said he would've loved to come back since he felt there was more story to tell.
Who else thinks that if Sabastian Stan hadn't become Bucky that he and Emma would have made a great couple? Think about it. They both have kids the same age, outcasts, and they seem to have had great chemistry together even if the actors did date each other at one point during Once upon a time off set.

If Sebastian didn't have the time for it, then they weren't doing to include the Hatter. The creators literally say "We would move heaven and earth to get him to come back in either show. We're never going to have a Mad Hatter that isn't going to be played by Sebastian, so we're not recasting him. We're just going to keep that seat empty because he's a special talent." This is one of my favorite scenes in the show. There's really nothing more beautiful than the love between a father and daughter, and these two portray it beautifully. It's too bad that the Hatter never got more time on the show, but I'd say leaving their story here was better than dragging it out or overdoing it. That's why Regina deserved to suffer in season 7. Even prior to the dark curse of season 7 and despite the fact that fans hate that season it's good to see Regina forced to cast the curse to keep Henry alive, it's very tantalizing and she knows what it feels like to be helpless and powerless.
